Lordicon
Have 1 caps, 8 Lower case, and 1 number, Also happens when I had 1 caps, 5 lower case, and 1 number. No other characters but numbers and letters. Happens on both my PC and Server when trying to connect to telnet. So I know it has to be something with the server files or the fixes. Alloc
Hm, that's strange. What tool do you use to connect to telnet?
Lordicon
Hm, that's strange. What tool do you use to connect to telnet? Normally Putty, Putty is one of the easiest and best imo
Alloc
Just added player location markers to the map (don't forget to update the webserver files too if you want to use it). @Lordicon: You didn't reply to my PM at all so I can't help you
=Tattoo=
Just added player location markers to the map (don't forget to update the webserver files too if you want to use it). That sounds awesome! How tricky would it be to produce 1 private map with player locations for admin, as well as the public one? Maybe use a port specified by admin instead of hardcoding it? Alloc
That's planned as the HTTP classes that I provided by .NET don't allow me to have both authorized and public access on a single port (at least not the way I want it ). But for now there's not so much in it and even the player display is mostly for evaluating different things
=Tattoo=
Well I will be looking for your future revisions and help test, you are doing an amazing thing here Alloc!

Alloc
Mod updated for A9.2, couldn't test so far though as the Linux server is not yet running But I doubt there should be any problems, compiled against the new version just fine. Markezzz
Hello Alloc, the webserver dont ask for a password if i load the map. Is this a bug alloc?
Alloc
No, just can't make it right for everyone atm As I do not want to care for both servers atm (a public and a protected one) I only have that one and that is either unprotected or protected for everyone. The latest this will change is when the API provides more control over the game, currently you can't do any harm and the shown data isn't that private either
Markezzz
So actually its unprotected ? Or can i set it to protected mode ?
Alloc
Nope, currently unprotected. I need to find a good way to add configuration later on but right now it's just unprotected
Markezzz
Okay, good to know. Than i have to put the firewall on for this port.
Alloc
I might be adding just a single flag-file to enable the authentication ... Though one should always remember that HTTP authentication does not provide confidentiality nor is it really secure. If you don't want anyone having access you should use a standalone HTTP server with SSL and let it proxy to the integrated webserver (that's what I'm doing with the public port on my server, just not using SSL so far). Markezzz
I really wont install a webserver on my Windows Server 2012 R2. So i block the port with the Firewall.
Alloc
Latest update: If you add a file "protect" to the "webserver" folder it will enable authorization (username = admin, pass = control panel pass).
Markezzz
Latest update: If you add a file "protect" to the "webserver" folder it will enable authorization (username = admin, pass = control panel pass). How do i add the protection on a windows machine with the integrated webserver?
Alloc
Same way as described in what you quoted: Add an empty file named "protect" to the "webserver" folder ^^
Markezzz
Okay, that worked for me and now the webserver for the map ask me for user and password. But i can tell the webserver any password and it would be accepted from the webserver.
