ubai
I was defending my base on day 14 (SP mode) when I died to a zed that had magically walked through a wall or something. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, has anyone else ever had this problem? Thanks, Matt
lord_ahriman
Can confirm this. Coincidentally, I had this problem on my day 14 horde as well, but I got a little bit more luck and killed the cheating zombie. It seems like if there are a few zombies attacking walls at the same time they could glitch through it.
AtomicUs5000
Was it open above the wall? Zombies can jump on top of eachother sometimes and get over the top if it isn't tall enough... so it's important to rule this out before considering it a glitch. My horde defense day 14 is a double floor reinforced concrete cage, therefore fully sealed, that never got a broken wall.
Vedui
I think it's the intended behaviour. There is so much focus on changing AI behaviour to directly counter player builds, that eventually the game decides that it simply can't do it, and just opts for teleporting the zombie in to resolve this unacceptable behaviour. But I'm sure eventually zombies will go back to being zombies, and we can skip that final teleport to the player to resolve unreachable locations But jokes aside, they seem to do that through doors again now too, too much shoving around and suddenly they're through the closed and locked door. Scary!
leaderdog
Same thing happened in a POI for me, a zombie behind one of them shoved the other through the closed door.
AtomicUs5000
All right... so was it reported as a bug or what?

This is funny and sad at the same time as it feels THIS is the way the team approaches problems. TFP: "They can "win" by doing WHAT?!!?, NERF IT, NERF IT TO HELL!!!" lord_ahriman
It is funny, but also untrue. If this happening, it needs to be reported I know there was a bug report about zombies being able to pass through 50 pillars, but I don't know if it really is a bug or intentional, but zombies teleporting through doors, walls or not broken poles have to be a bug, but I don't know if someone reported. Scary! Yeah as soon as I saw that shoving behaviour in A17 I had a bad feeling about it. I figured this bug was going to be around, at least for a bit. I've experienced this myself and that's exactly how they got through. A bunch in one spot, all trying to get to one place... one gets pushed through the wall. asmosnuts
Hard to tell what it is. Definitely not just linked to push, had single mobs do it too, bears dogs ferals. At times its lke a delayed spawn (like when you walk in and the room spawns in front of you). Had it happen multiple times in cleared poi with no path to me and a bear ,dog or random z will spawn right behind you. Happens outside too, you keep your head on a swivel and suddenly theres something right on top of you that wasnt even in view a second ago. ubai
Just to confirm, there were no openings at all, so they didn't jump in or anything, they merely wafted through solid matter. Spooky quantum zombies!
