  1. Editing this post as per moderator request. Since yesterday evening (before the A19 (b178) update) I am not able to join my own rented server, my client get stuck on the loading game screen, on the "starting game..." one. I have just made a fresh install of A19 (b178), and before doing that, I have deleted every trace of the game from the SSD / registry, but unfortunately I am having the same issue, its stuck on the "starting game..." status. Please see here the client log https://pastebin.com/8PaL99NC and here the server log https://pastebin.com/JReK8XBh - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die is whitelisted on the Windows Defender. - The server has the EAC disabled and also the client - I can hear the fire or the crickets when stuck on "starting game...". - when I hit alt+f4 to kill the game, I can see for 1 second the game and the last place I left the character. - I tried to killall and teleport on the console with no luck - I have restarted the server a couple of times with no luck - Yesterday, when the issue started to happen, the server/client was on the 177, and with the recent 178 update is doing exactly the same. - My other friends can play without issues, the can see me on the world when I am trying to log in, but my client is stuck on "starting game...".   4. Everytime I use an Auger my camera locks into position and unable to unlock the camera. Is there a way to fix this issue?
  5. Just an idea... An idea to have animal or NPC as companion... Wolf, Crows, parrots, etc for Animal. Which act like A18 Junk turret, Need repairing and use meat as ammo for attacks, kept in inventory. Right click to deploy. R to reload. Need "Animal first aid treatment" to repair. (Dont talk about realism when you can build a building out from your inventory). Each type having different specialist field of operation. ie. Wolf can sneak better and spot zombies/enemies (for bandits). Husky can fetch arrows/bolts/etc. And perhaps loot? Parrot can fly and spot open-field zombies/enemies. Vulture can attack and cause bleed on enemies. Snake have lower health, and entity damage, but ignored by most enemies. Bear have the most health and damage, but create alot of noise.
  6. Suggestion to change character skill perks into something else. Some status will only be unlocked after spending [Lv2-1] x 10 points on that field. Change strength tree into all action that affect hands (left and right click). Entity damage: +1 per level on left & right click. Block damage: +1 per level on left & right click. Attack per minutes (Unlocked at Lv2): +1 per level on left click. Stamina usage (Unlocked at Lv3): -5% per level. Change Fortitude tree into all things that affect health. Health buffer: +2 max health per level. Element resistance: +1 per level to Heat and Cold. Armor rating (Unlocked at Lv2): +1 per level. Recovery (Unlocked at Lv2): recover 1 hp per level per 60 seconds. Resistance (Unlocked at Lv3): +1% resistance against effects (bleed, etc). Metabolism (Unlocked at Lv3, trigger condition at 25% hp): +1 hp, -1 hunger, -1 water per level per second. Change Agility to all that affect running and stamina. Stamina buffer: +2 max stamina per level. Running speed (Unlocked at Lv2): +0.2 per level. Quick breath (Unlocked at Lv2): +0.02 stamina regen per level. Fight or flight (Unlocked at Lv3, trigger condition at 25% hp): +1 stamina regen per level per second for 3 second. Change Perception into everything that affect the eyes and surrounding awareness. Smack the head: +20% to head damage bonus per level. Animal tracker: *No change* Lucky Looter: *No change* Weak spot: ignore 5% per level of zombie armor rating. Zombie spotter (Unlocked at Lv2): +1 meter per level for non-sleeper zombie, pin on top middle compass. Zombie sense (Unlocked at Lv3): +5% chances per level to notice a sleeper zombie, pin on top middle compass. Change Intellect all that affect crafting. Resourceful: Crafting consume 5% less resources per level. Conservation: Crafting items (non-weapon) has a 1% chance per level of producing additional item. Lucky (Unlocked at Lv2): Crafting weapons has 1% chance per level of producing a quality above the weapon Quality level. Brain storm (Unlocked at Lv3): 1% chance per level of reading any Schematic (open or close book) per 10,000 experience gained. Weapon perks change for Weapon specialist. Having a specialist at X level, will craft relevance item/weapon at that level. For all tools, weapon, consumable.   7. Hey everyone, I've recently started my own YouTube series of 7dtd videos. I was heavily inspired by the likes of Capp00 and Glock9 but with my own style (as I am not nearly as good at the game as either of those guys). As a result, my videos tend to have a more accidental comedic aspect as I get myself into situations that seemed like a good idea...but ultimately weren't. My first series is called "The Long Road" and it involves me trying to survive long enough to build the ultimate Horde Night base. Come marvel at my ineptitude as I throw spears into the wild blue and miss coyotes over and over with a bow. Oh, and I also thought it might be a good idea to get drunk before recording what was supposed to be the first episode in the series. Not a good move. I am playing Navezgane map, and a certain areas of the map, I am suddenly pushed into the Command window, with these messages: I have been through this area before, but now I can no longer go there. If I move within this area border, this error comes, and If I move back out, I will fall through map. I would hate to restart the map - anyone know if there is a way to fix this problem? "434.399 ERR Exception in thread ChunkCalc: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Thanks.

I just started A19 experimental with a buddy, and I have been noticing that we get way more run-ins than we usually do- that is, wandering zombies or wolves that spawn outside of buildings coming inside the building straight to where we are. I first noticed it when we were on the second level of a factory and a dire wolf came out of nowhere. I went to test this more in single player (this time in scavenger mode, because yes, I am wimp). While sneaking through a fire station, on two separate occasions a zombie from outside started bashing on the walls to get to me. When I left the building, it tracked me and came around to meet me. I had been stealth killing everyone inside, so there is no way it would have been alerted by noise. I don't understand what may be tripping off their tracking. Could this be a bug? I suppose it might a possibility that I need to put points into sneak to stop alerting every non-sleeping zombie with the clap of my dummy thicc @%$*#! cheeks. Any advice on how to handle this would be appreciated.

  12. Has anyone seen a floating, colorful (changes colors) square with a question mark in Alpha 19 (b173)? It appears and when I get close to it, I can't touch it, manipulate it, and sometimes disappears. It has a purplish hue to it. picture is below.
  13. Hello, I am looking at increasing the max zombies allowed spawned, how can I go about doing that? I'm looking in the config files but can't find it. I remember being able to change max animals but i'm looking at getting more zeds spawned. Thanks.

  15. Love the cooking and farming aspect, wish there was a bit more. Was looking at my stash this evening and canned pears don't have a recipe. Maybe turn it into peaches and it make peach cobbler with a bit of a sugar rush sprint but there be a slight crash effect where you slow down a bit more then normal. Another cooking idea "toasted acorn boiled acorns" can have them partnered with water in the cooking fire to remove the tannins like irl. Fish or fishing? Pole fishing could add a danger element or trap fishing Nn and gg
  16. I'm currently playing on an A18.4 random gen world that I created. I have about 25 hours on the world, and pretty recently got a Minibike, I started to ride out to a quest and hit a birds nest, instantly I was teleported about 100-200 meters forward still on my minibike, so I continued to ride through the hills on my way to the the marker. As soon as I reached it I was thrusted into the sky, changing the POV so that my camera was fixed in the place I used to be, then I was sent into the ground, going far below the world. I exited the world and attempted to restart the game, but now whenever I join it I'm stuck in a white limbo-like space in first person, and all the items in my hotbar are gone.
  17. I used to play on xbox (800+ hours) but recently built my PC and am now primarily gaming on it. The PC version is basically a new game for me. It's taken some getting used to but I think i have a decent handle on the game now. I'm looking for some people to game with now. i'm usually on 8pm-12am CST 3-6 days out of the week.   18. Dear DEV's, please hear me out. Leveling/point system: Please bring back the leveling system that used to exist in 7D2D. The current point system is very boring and takes the fun out of the game. It would be great to level up Archery by........using a bow, or level up jumping height by......simply jumping more often. So basically if you want to master something, just do it more often (Just like real life!!!) Skyrim used this method and it was a very fun and successful game. This will eliminate the need for points. New Learning system: For learning, books aren't required, simply allow the person to locate lets say a shotgun, have an option to disassemble the item which in turn destroy it but allows the person to learn how to make it. Bye Bye books. Both these changes will breathe life back into the game BIG TIME!!! Thank you
  19. is it posible to code a weapon mod (Melee) that increases damage by X percent up to Y percent with each consecutive, not missed, hit,? (I.E a t6 stun baton does 15 damage, 1 hit does 5% extra so 16,, then x, etc until you get a damage of 25 on a single enemy, after you kill that enemy, it resets.

If I use any type of gun, after I've equipped it, my toon can no longer look up, down, and when I jump it turns my vision upside down and when I walk left or right my screen turns that direction. I can confirm that my character isn't actually turning upside down or side ways. The only way to make it stop is to log off and reset. which makes using gun useless because I can't even aim them, please help!
  21. Have been in a mostly fine running server for a while now since A19 has come out. We were somewhere between day 56-65 and my game started kicking me out every so often, lasting max 10-15 minutes. Started where it was just a little laggy periodically, began not letting me into chests or vehicles for extended periods of times. If I was driving it acted as if it was running me into an invisible wall and bouncing me back and then would launch me forward or sideways as well as some other strange buggy things. Sometimes zombies other characters would start moving in place and then it would act fine for another few minutes or sometimes that would happen and then I would be kicked back to home menu. Received no bug report pop up when it did so. I cleared all data as recommended on one of the bug report pages, restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled my game etc and it still continued to do it so our whole group quit playing for the evening. Some of us got on today for a little side server attempt and it is working fine for the server owner (me) but it's now doing the same thing to others who try to join as well as not even letting one person all the way in the server. (This happened to someone else on the later day server previously discussed as well). We can find no solutions despite searching the forums, trying the clear data, verifying files, reinstalling the whole game, etc etc. Please help!

  23. I am probably setting myself up for a world of regret, but here goes. When going into a room, my vision will gradually darken. When leaving the room, my vision will get brighter. This is incredibly distracting and infuriating. The human eye doesn't work like this, it works in the complete opposite manner! A similar 'issue' can be seen by playing Space Engineers, where they call it 'eye adjustment' and used to have an option to turn it off. Is there any way to either get it working properly (where going into a 'dark' space will brighten your vision, bleaching the outside world of direct sunlight) or just disable it entirely so I don't keep screaming "WHY AM I GOING BLIND BECAUSE I'M UNDER A ROOF?"

  25. Hello guys I have a quick question. I played 7DTD up until I believe alpha 16. During that time I was able to easily adjust the game files by editing the xml to my specific play style ( I play solo ). Even with big mods like starvation I was still able to simply go into the data folder and adjust the game to play like I wanted it to. My question is with the new mods folder if I install say ravenhurst mod where would I go to adjust the mod to play to my specific specifications? Would that still be in the 7DTD data folder or would I have to go to the mods folder and adjust each and every mod? Iow do mods overwrote any data files or they exclusive to the mods folder and that's where I'd adjust them? Thanks for any help it is appreciated
