  1. Its a new world on latest patch, started after 21 launch. It seems to be doing it only after a restart. Im still trying to figure out why sometimes it does and doesnt.
  2. Well the sleepers are the problem, they just happily spawn next to my LCB and bedroll, theres 3 players and all have their bedroll down a bit apart. Sometimes we log in and the POI is back to having all its sleepers inside. The loot isn't respawning etc, so its not like the POI reset. It's just the sleepers that do not give a crap about our bedrolls nor LCB.
  3. Hi all, I tried searching for this but I didnt see any (recent) topic about it. We took over a prison POI, cleanedit out fairly tough early game but we finally managed. We both slapped down our bedrolls, I placed a LCB (Which range I increased in settings as well), and we started building our base in it. Now, every so often , we log back in and the whole dang POI is repopulated. like, sleeper spawns smack in the middle of our base, chests, work bench etc. I do not know why it sometimes is, and sometimes is not doing that. It seems related to server crash and auto restarts, but when I properly restart it doesnt seem to trigger it. I am not sure about this. All I know is that it doesnt happen everytime we log off and back in. Does anyone else have that problem? - Also, LCB's do not prefend zombie spawns really right? Its just the bedrolls?
  4. Hi all ! I have a new server running, some minor tweaks (like a hunger/thirst hud bar), gameplay is vanilla though. Only 3 people playing right now, most of the map is still uncovered since we are all 3 more or less in the same area. We are more slowpaced players who like to build and loot, and who are not in a hurry. I am a 46yo Dutch guy who started playing 7 days in 2014 (with breaks) Settings are default, 10-4 is night time, regular settings on difficulty. Server is in east US but is lagfree for me in Europe. Discord is available and preferred (for text mainly, can also do voice but not mandatory) If you have a friend to join it is fine too. Only rule is 18+ ! No griefing, hacking and the usual things. Just reply here, or DM me if interested, please do tell a bit about yourself. I dont reply to "yo im in" , or anything. 👍
  5. Are you uploading an old save to A20? Because that will obviously give problems. In general the radiated zone is just a world border as it is.
  6. Lol you mean like real life things like putting a bandage on a critical wound will heal you in a few seconds? Or healing a broken leg in a few hours or faster? I dont really like that they try the horde to be impossible to counter even late game but throwing an opinion on 'physics' and realism in a zombiegame is kinda lame to be fair.
  7. I used to start out on the roof of the biggest building I could find, so that the hordes were no issue (-cheesing it). Once I had some gear etc I would build my own. Back in the day with big lakes (and infinite maps, remember that?) I would make lake houses on stilts and no hordes would spawn (I seem to like cheesing it). Nowadays I just build a stilt base from the start, as the hordes are way easier early game. Slap some spikes down under it and a ramp you can just pick them off. Once I got the failproof horde-base set up I will just build a big build somewhere close by. Dont really need defenses on that, other than a lost Z or Zdog running around.
  8. Its very unlikely to find a 30-40 ppl server as the server would lag hard. I also dont understand why you would want that as you will find no places to loot nor any good stuff at traders with so much competition - but to each their own.   9. Uh what? You play experimental and then demand it is stable? Your explanation is very wrong. Experimental means they are WORKING on making that patch better than the previous stable release.
  10. Hard to say with just going by the numbers. I already noticed the ammo loot was way too high, even a bad aim like me is swimming in ammo.
  11. I just mean I dont mind RNG, like I am not suggesting to make it craftable even, so RNG isnt my main issue, but make it available in more ways like a special zombie loot drop or a reward. So my point is more, I dont MIND RNG, because it also has many upsides but yes, I am kinda raising eyebrows on vital things like a beaker because that was the reason they removed the Forge Ahead book back in the days. And yes a late game recipe would already kill a lot of frustration, just like the crucible recipe.
  12. So, I love this new patch, brings back a lot of awesomeness in forms of proper Map Gen and lots of POI's, etc, we all know the good stuff it brought. I havent played for a while and I am aware nobody knows me at this point, but I am that dude with the WORST rng luck. I am level 54 now, gamestage 129, and I have yet to find a beaker. I loot and loot, I try to go for the POI's that have the most containers to get one from, I watched YT videos, forumposts on where to find them etc. I am just not getting any. We all know acid is another rare drop, I had to buy a wheel for 12k stone from a castle builder when I was already smart enough to make a car, just to make a minibike. I have the same problem with the bellows and the crucible. However, bellows are not a requirement, it only speeds up. and you can still make a crucible at lvl 5 engineering, so even that is a certainty in the end. I dont mind having bad luck with loot, but at one point it becomes a big problem, gameplay wise, especially with all POI chem stations broken. I remember the forge-ahead book was removed to avoid this problem so I am having a bad deja-vu on it. I was hoping for some tweaks on this, and I dont even mean making them drop more often, but maybe pull a bicycle trick with the trader or so - after x amount of trading you can pick a beaker as reward or something. Or maybe even have early-mid game hordenight zombies have a change to drop 1 in a lootbag (as a reward of actually killing horde zombies instead of cheesing it). Like I said, not complaining about the RNG, the looting or anything, but I feel some items that are crucial to your progress should have a certain change to be available at a certain point. Also, I know some will have 12 beakers on day 3 so no point in telling me, my point isnt the RNG. 👍
  13. It's funny how people can look at a game in very different ways. I find this patch to be one of the biggest changes, and for the good. I stopped around 17-18 and skipped 19, didnt like the small maps, bad gen and tower defense direction with magic candy - but thats because I loved the old 7 days of exploring the vast lands and building big while surviving in between. I was actually annoyed that I didnt like to play it anymore. So with the new Random gen, bigger maps (to come) and way more POI's (aka diversity) this patch really took me by surprise. The Map gen is awesome, towns look like actual towns, I even like the gardening for some weird reason. Oh and I started playing in 2014, for some reason we're mentioning that. It is really hard to create longlivety in any game I think, without making the early game a grind (or even midgame). One of the awesome things about 7 days is, you can play it in many different ways. This also means many different opinions on how to improve and also many different reasons why people stop playing after a while. Always keep in mind that our opinion is not a fact.
