    nitro makes a much heavier world than vanilla rwg that some computers have trouble handling, this is 1/8th a part of why we stopped supporting it for ravenhearst. too many complaints about worlds in various ways that are outside of our ability to assist with. believe the bad Y locations is a side effect of nitro not being up to date with the alpha progression.

    edit- think the latest compo version is also 47, so you might want to try getting up to date, could solve some things.

     

    that's handled by the biomes.xml, not sure if that's what you were changing.

    Yes I miswrote which pack I installed. It was the Compopack47.  I finally got it running on my dedicated server WITHOUT the Nitrogen map and after edited a vanilla RWGMixer.xml to take the Prefabs.

  2. Are you supposed to copy and paste the RWGmixer info from yours into the original RWGmixer prior to installing because your RWG only shows Prefab information, nothing else about where to load in the world  Here was my process

    I downloaded the Modlet, unpacked the Prefabs into the Prefab folder on my server

    pulled the RWGMixer out of the Config folder and over wrote the RWGmixer on the server, then tried to load my world.  Would not launch.

    Yes we loaded client side, no I didn't change anything else, yes it was a fresh install (this is on Bluefang servers.  

     

    I opened your RWGmixer and noticed all it has in it are the Prefab names, nothing else.    I've attached the one that came with the download

    rwgmixer.xml

     

    I just went back and read your instructions for the modlet and it says just to drop the folder into the mods folder.  Is that how it works for a Server also?  I've never done that in the past, we had to actually unpack and overwrite the originals.

    2. Simply then open the COMPOPACK A19 CP47 (RWG MODLET) folder and Drag the COMPOPACK A19 CP46 folder inside original folder into Mods folder (steam/steamapps/common/7 days to die/Mods)

I installed the Compopack45 and a map I had created with the Nitrogen tool on a Bluefang server following all of the instructions given in the videos and by Guppy for Dedicated server installs.  It loaded just fine.  The Prefabs were a bit of a mess though,  Quite a few of the ones I saw were sunken into the environment by 10 feet of so and there were 25 traders but all but one was the Poser kind.  Two of us fell thru the world within 20 minutes of starting and were unable to log back in afterwards  I've used the Compopack many, many times in the past and it works fine on it's own.  I think there's still some serious issues with the Nitrogen tool and I'd really, really love to use it as the map it created was awesome.  I've created a new seed without it and I'm running the Compopack on Vanilla now.

    For those of you using NitroGen, are you doing so on your local PC's?  Or on a dedicated server and is it causing any of the issues I had?  Is there a trick to making it work better with the Prefabs?

    I want to start by saying. I've seen some incredibly entitled people on this thread that are actually complaining about this mod and I'm furious about it. The amount of work that went into this is unbelievable. The way it makes the game so much better is awesome to me. I have 1800 hours in this game and Jax and team have managed to make this game fun and so much harder again for me I LOVE the difficulty , I LOVE it. Let me offer some advice to you whiners, go play a different mod. By what right do you complain about something that cost you absolutely nothing and no one forced you to install. The nerve you show actually writing your thoughts down here just blows my mind. Your parents are probably really ashamed, if not they should be.

     

    Now with that said, I do have a question. I have two pigs in my inventory, one male and one female. I want to make a piglet but I can't for the life of me find the table I use for that. Anyone?

     

    Also Jax, I'd like to offer my help if you need it. I'm an Executive Assistant so I have a lot of experience with documentation if you ever need any help typing something up and I can be of assistance, please PM me. I'd be happy to help!   5. Wookie maybe you can answer this. I can't seem to find a server that works for me. If I'm running RH vanilla I would have to find a server running RH vanilla correct? Or can I log onto one using 2k or 4k? I've only found one server so far that allowed me to get to downloading map and it got a ton of errors and was literally at 15 minutes loading map when I gave up. The rest are just looking up at waiting for server...

  6. All the SDX components are compiled into it. You won't need the SDX Launcher yourself :) Just install like you would normally install a mod, and off you go.

     

    I can't find a read me and this seems to be your install advice :) Do I overwrite all the folders in the 7 days to die folder with yours, or do I ADD your files to the original folders? I can't seem to make it work. I've installed Darkness and I've run my own server for years but this mod doesn't want to work for me. I am hoping to just load this client side and play on someone elses server for awhile.

    Is it still only working with 17.1 or is your new 5.02 for 17.2? Cause when I load 17.2 I can't find any servers. HELP PLEASE I really want to try the mod. Also I tried to fill out an application for your server but your forums are down.

  7. I have a few questions, if anyone can help:

    1) I have laborer class and level 3 in Hammer and Forge, which "at a workbench you can craft iron armor and a crucible" - though my crucible recipe is unknown currently. This is stopping me from making forged steel. I am unsure what I am missing, or what else needs done before I can make forged steel. Is there a level requirement to make forged steel? I can make the workbench just fine. I have resorted to tearing apart power lines.

    1.a) Crucible also requires a "welding tool" which I have looted for weeks and never seen. Is this a looted item, is it included with something, or something else? I am not sure what I am missing on this one as well. EDIT - I have seen in this forum that the torch is just rare. I will keep looking.

     

    2) Is the only way to get "bundle of skill notes" to salvage mod schematics? To get the required 120 (60 @ station) at only 3 a pop seems like it would take ages to get a new class skill. I am ok with the grind, I just want to make sure I am not overlooking other ways.

     

    I have found at least 8 welding torches, it's not that rare. . As for the skill notes you can salvage schematics and books and I've been able to make two class books so far and have only been playing about 10 days I guess.

    You know I'm a fan so please don't take this as a complaint. I just want to mention that we seem to be having a lot of issues with blocks turned around on the Magoli Compo Prefab packs,) I didn't load it separately I loaded your Mod clean). Its not usually a huge issue except quite often it's the book cases and we all know how important books are in your Mod.

  9. The 17.2 RWG just sucks ass. I have tried 8 different seeds and they all spawn only 1-3 cities and the buildings in the cities are all damaged and quite a few are buried. The buildings are far apart and there's very little water. I'm going to take everything (dedicated server) back to 17.1 and start over with that. 17.1 was a dream as far as the RWG compared to this.

    This is not a criticism of Darknessfalls which I LOVE, it's the devs that keep screwing up the RWG. When will they ever get that right. /cry

     

    Khaine can you give me a link to download the 17.1 version again if possible? Thank you

  10. Huh. That's kind of annoying. I shall have to go poke at that and see if I can fix it up. Thanks for letting me know, :)

     

     

     

    Only thing I can suggest is delete and redownload the game, then delete and download the non-experimental version of the mod. Launcher wasn't fully downloading files last night and that's what some folks in the discord had to do to make it work.

    I actually like the Wasteland, it reminds me of the old hub days. You did NOT want to go there because it was seriously dangerous. So started my players in Forest and desert and now we are slowly moving into the wastelands. I do think the RWG makes too much of it but RWG has been fu**ed up since forever.

  11. I have to tell you that I LOVE this mod. I have been playing 7days2die since Version 9 I believe and you brought back everything that was good in the game that they have since gotten rid of. You have also combined some things from Valmods (which is also an excellent old mod) and than other original items together in a way that makes this game GREAT again and I thank you!! I was about to shut down my server again out of boredom but you have brought the excitement back again. I get a bit of whining from one of my players on how it's so hard but the rest of them love it and I really did want to thank you for such an amazing job!!

  12. Hi there, one more questions. I have a behemouth camping a player. He logs back in and the behemouth kills him. It's day 1 and my players have died a LOT due to ferals and behemouths. Can I turn down the amount of those spawning? I turned down the amount of zombies to 20 and there are still a LOT

  13. I'm sure this question is somewhere in the 124 pages of this thread but the search engine here sucks so please bear with me. I just loaded your mod and it seems to be functioning fine so far. I am unable to use my server manager now though because Allocs maps has been wiped out. Am I able to put that back in the mods folder? I didn't want to take the chance of having any conflicts so I started with a fresh set of folders.

    Not at ALL Stallionsden. I wrote the initial post and please go back and read it. I raved about your work I think it's some of the best. I was just wondering if the loot could be turned down. I absolutely was not saying anything bad about you.

    The bigger the prefab the bigger the loot.

     

    My prefabs are untouched your always the first to visit them lol. A lot of the blocks are random versions.

     

    If you read the story behind the village it was a testing site in regards to a military camp has tonnes more loot then mine lol.... But yeh not worried bout the loot size. Then you got to look in those loot containers and half or more times they are empty so just cause there are alot of loot containers does not necessarily mean you are gonna walk away with everything. It also depends on your loot settings 25%, 50%, 100 150 200 etc. I play on 100% sometimes 150% and most are either empty or have 1 or 2 things in them at most.

     

    a true and proper loot count document would not be ever accurate because of the many different outcomes, chances and randomness of loot that there is. SO you may see 8 gun safes (which in a govt testing lab would be way under what would actually be in there in real life but how much loot did you get from it.

     

    Did you open each safe and check or just saw 8 gun safes and went oh thats to much lol... My point is you could have 100 containers yet only get 3 items from the whole lot. or you could have 100 containers and get 80 things etc. all depends on all the variables in the game you have set and the chances the game gives of loot and each time it is different.

     

    My loot is set at 150% and one of my players opened every box they had to port out 8 times to transfer all the loot. I've been in others of yours and it was the same.

  16. To be fair, the value 'loot' in the ingame editor doesn't take the sizes of the prefabs into account. Imo it doesn't make sense to talk about the loot value without considering the size... 1300 loot means ~1300 loot boxes (afaik the ingame editor is slightly inaccurate btw.).

     

    I don't know what the "loot values" are but I think even in a HUGE prefab that 8 safes and 30 boxes in just one area is too much. There were more. I am not complaining about the prefab itself, Its really an amazing build and I hope Stallion isn't upset with me. But If I can figure out a way to remove half the loot from those buildings I'm going to

  17. So I have the Compo pack loaded and I have an amazing map right now that I'm very pleased with. I want to make one comment though to the artists, Stallionden especially. I'm running across a few of the prefabs that are absolutely LOADED with loot, I am in one now that is a retirement community that literally has a room with 8 gun safes and at least 30 boxes full of loot. IMO this ruins the build for me. Even though your artwork is AWESOME, it's really good but the loot ruins it and I'm going to take the build out of my pack. I don't want to give my players everything in one building. The game is about survival. Stallionden please don't take offense I really love your work but think about removing the loot or making it reasonable.

    Is there a reason that all my new maps are now 85% snow biomes? It's just with this latest RWG, the previous one was great. Can I do something to fix that ? There are other biomes but any where there are prefabs and cities there is snow for some reason.

  19. Well Mag it's true you do have to load the Prefabs on your PC. Most still load but I got a ton of errors that don't show up unless you hit F1 so I loaded the pack client side also and it cleared it all up. No idea what effect it actually has though.

    Any word on the problem with the pack dramatically reducing the spawing of vanilla a17 prefabs? Perhaps they can just be added to the pack to increase their spawn likelyhood? (I don't know how this works lol)

    Also, is the new Art Gallery in this pack? That thing looks amazing!

     

    I think this may have happened to someone because they probably OVERWROTE the game Prefab Folder with the Compo pack Prefab folder, thereby totally wiping out the Vanilla Prefabs. It says in the Read me file that you need to ADD the files not overwrite the folder. I don't have any problems with this at all but I loaded it correctly. LOVE this pack, it's da bomb
