Is it possible to play multiplayer through steam? Like, does sending invites to play work with this?

I found an exploit I think. I accidentaly hit my research station (tier 3) and it gave me scrap iron, old book, paper and some wood. But to repair it I only needed paper. So I could get more and more old books and paper out from that.

It seems that you can't pick up some electrical stuff, like generators, switches, dart traps. Is there any way to pick them up, or should I use some tool for that?

What is the best way to harvest plant fiber? Are there any tools for that? Or maybe something can be scrapped to grass? You need a lot of that for ropes.

Thanks. I need to check that out when I'll be playing. That makes the cardboard item useless though.

What's the first tier of storage here? I thought that would be cardboard boxes, but there seem to be no recipe for that. The description for cardboard says that I could create box from it and duct tape. Is there a missing recipe?
