  1. Hi, does anyone know if this mod is compatible with A21 versions of overhaul mods like War of The Walkers or Darkness Falls ? Is anyone successfully using this mod in either of those overhauls ? Thanks
  2. Hi.. I am confused about whether the various weapons mods associated with this developer (lzayo) are supposed to co-exist. For example, this mod shows that it adds some shotguns and 7.62 guns, among others. But lzayo also has an entirely separate mod just for shotguns. There is also a separate mod for 5.56 caliber guns. Is this mod designed to be an alternative to those other mods or does the developer anticipate they will be used in tandem. I am currently using the 5.56 and shotgun mod and really like them. But then I saw this one, which also seems great, so now I am curious/confused. Thanks
  3. I just built a FNN Lcal - tier 5- gun in my A21 game. I added a 2x scope mod onto the gun, but it does not seem to be working. When I add the same scope onto my Ak47 aiming the weapon 'activates' the scope - that is your view is through the scope reticle. When I aim the FN this does not occur. Thanks

  5. Hi, hopefully a quick question. I installed the suite of tools - core, hud, menu, ui and the component to show enemy health. Should savepoints that I establish on the map be viewable from within the UI ? I would have thought that as I walk the savepoint icons would appear below the compass points (e.g. S, SW etc.) based on where I physically am, in relation to the icon's location, but they do not. Is it not possible or is there a config setting that I have missed. Thanks in advance and the UI(etc) is amazing.
  6. @LootGoblin, thanks for your response. The reason I asked was that I see there is reference to this mod causing an issue with 2x scopes in normal guns. I read 'normal' as meaning vanilla weapons and, as such, was concerned there would be unintended conflict between the mods. Thanks, again

  10. I have a question about screamer spawning. I understand how to minimize screamer spawn when I am mining. The problem I am having now is with screamers showing up when I am trying to clear POI's. I am not sure what triggers them to appear when clearing a POI so I don't know what to do differently to minimize spawn. Since I am not digging I assume it is not a heat map issue ? Does adding silencers to my guns help in a meaningful way ? What else can/should I be doing to prevent screamer spawn ? Thanks in advance for any tips..

I was hoping that was the case I have been watching a series called 'Sniper of Darkness Falls' by a streamer named Genosis and he always aggressively deploys multiple turrets when hitting any POI. Might be of interest, @PoloPoPo
  12. Encountered another situation in which I started a new game and the trader I was sent to was not a regular trader but one of the white river scouts who offers no jobs. It was a POI with a chimney spewing smoke and you climb a pile/pyramid of rubble to a hole in the wall near top of house. When you drop down you walk to some futuristic base with a character that speaks like Jen but is dressed like full doctor. In this case, however, I found a standard trader near to this building which is giving me quests. My question is since I discovered that advanced white river scout installation have I screwed up my game so the white river storyline is broken now or can I continue to play as if that initial meeting never occurred.   13. A quick question about 3rd party mod compatibility. I came across a mod named PinRecipe. I was wondering if anyone is successfully using this mod with Darkness Falls. If yes, are you just copying the mod's files into the mod folder or ? Thanks
  14. Khaine, you are busier than a 1 legged tap dancer . I did start another new game using VSmall1-CP map and this time, like respondent lug, I wound up being directed to trader Jen outside Asian town. So push this down your to do list. Thanks.
  15. Not sure if this is just bad RNG or issue with VSmall1-CP map? Did a complete uninstall - yes, I watched the video - and then installed V403a. I started up a game using the Vsmall1-CP map. The initial go find the trader quest led me to Razor, and not a typical trader. When I speak to him he has no job , just tells me go see the scout, but no direction provided. Deleted the save and started another new game using the same VSmall1-CP map and encountered same issue - get directed to Razor who has no job, just tells me to go see scout. There is no immediately apparent trader or city in the distance, only thing near Razor is separated/isolated POI's of varying types in the forest Has anyone else encountered (or not) this issue when playing the Vsmall1-CP map ? Thanks
  16. Looking for tips or suggestions from other players how to become better at mining minerals. It seems as soon as I dig a hole somebody drops in on me or a screamer appears, even though I am using pickaxe, nothing motorized. Any way to minimize chance of disruption - I normally circle the area killing any wandering zombies before I start digging but they just drop in.. Would building a walled enclosure around the hole that I dig hold up as a strategy - I believe zombies can dig but not sure how quickly? Thanks
  17. I have a general gameplay question hoping to get some insight on. I was watching a youtuber who is playing Darkness Falls. Their game is at day 50+ and during the episode I watched they were grinding tier 1 quests from a trader. The comment they made was that if they get the rep up to 30 with the trader they can then get access to some special reward/item/thing to buy . Is this accurate, if you do 30 quests for a trader you get access to something very special and it doesn't matter what tier the quests are ? And if you were to grind to a rep of 30 with more than 1 trader do you get the same special reward/item/thing to buy from both, or do they differ. Finally, is there any relationship between your rep with traders and your relationship with the White River scouts ? Thanks in advance for everybody's help.
  18. My goal/expectation is not to outrun ferals. My current situation is that due to the number of times I have died (sigh) my wellness is never much greater than health nut minimum: I am drinking apple/orange juice. So as soon as I get hit by a zombie, especially a feral, I am near death. I was hoping to be able to get more resilience by selecting security. Your comments have also made me consider scavenger as my third choice. Maybe I need to focus now on getting these two classes as I have sufficient supplies to make two class books. Can you explain which bladed perk gives you life leech ? Thanks again
  19. KhaineGB, thanks for taking the time to respond. I enjoy questing but I have also been dying relatively frequently lately. Whenever I get a couple ferals in my face it usually means one thing. So I was hoping that security would let me up armor myself without killing my movement speed. However, better rewards may make it easier to get better quality weapons(etc) to stop the ferals. Something to consider. Thanks for your input.
  20. Looking for suggestions from more experienced players on 2nd class selection. This is my first playthrough and I selected farmer as my initial class. I was thinking along the lines of security but curious what others have done (when they initially selected farmer) and why. Thanks
  21. In the vanilla game you can increase the 'robot active range' for robotic sledge via the robotics perk: this controls how close you need to stand to the robot to ensure it is active. Is there an equivalent perk/ability (etc) in Darkness Falls ? Thanks
  22. A noob question about agriculture. I understand biomes have specific minerals and agriculture associated with them. I want to know whether fruit plants can only be grown in the biome in which they are found. Put another way, can I plant apple trees in a desert biome and expect them to produce fruit consistently - as trees do not require irrigation to grow. Thanks P.S. Those vultures in the desert are no joke. Serious as a heart attack !!
  23. Thanks to everyone who has responded. My reputation with White River is 10 - I confirmed. I grinded the level 1&2 quests for the first White River scout. I was also sent to Razor by the White River scout and not the trader - although the White River Scout did list this as 'Open Trade Route' under the other work category. I have never gotten this far before so this is all new to me. I noticed that Razor only offers me the one get resources quest . Is that expected ? I deleted the quest and again was only offered the resource quest and again still have no marker on the map. When I go into quest page and select the 'show the location on the map' option for the quest it returns message that the quest has no specific location.
  24. Having a problem with Razor's first quest. Completed the initial White River scouts quests and got directed to Razor. His first quest is to get resources (with a shovel). The location is described as nearby but there is no directional arrow when quest is active and the show on map button indicates no specific location associated with quest. How do I find where the quest location is ? Thanks
  25. KhaineGB The only options I see are: (1) inventory, (2) jobs or (3) nevermind. There is nothing else to select. Is this related to prior post that I need to reach level of 10+ standing ? Thanks
