  1. I rarely build repairkits. Even with 50% loot-abundance, I find enough of them to keep me in action. I don't think I've ever bought one.
  2. I've noticed a drop in damage for lvl4 weapons compared to lvl3 ones. Not a one-time but a consistent behavior on multiple items. So far I've looked at: Wooden bow, Iron Crossbow and Hunting Rifle. All tier 2 weapons. I see, consistently when spawning multiple items in creative that average damage increase from lvl1 to lvl3 and then drops at lvl4 to go back up again at lvl5 to lvl6. This is too consistent to be attributed to the randomization of damage value on weapons. I also notice that this does NOT happen to the primitive bow. Maybe because tier 1 weapons seem to be handled differently in the Items.xml, not having this line: <passive_effect name="EntityDamage" operation="perc_add" value="-.15,.15"/> <!-- random EntityDmg --> meaning they don't have a randomized damage value This is very easily replicated in creative mode.
  3. There appear to be something with just the wooden bow though. When I spawn items in creative, there is an average increase in stats between quality levels. But for wooden bows, there is a drop at just lvl4. Looking at the base stats, it seems the lvl4 wooden maxes out at 25 while the lvl3 maxes out at 28 (at least for the dozen or so I spawned of each) If I look at the primitive bow, the lvl 3 seems to max at 22 while the lvl 4 max out at 24. More consistent behavior. Maybe I stumbled upon a bug. I looked at the crossbow.... same thing with the lvl4 being on average worse than the lvl3. I will submit a bug-report.
  4. Can add that I was fooling around a bit in the creative menu now and checked on spawning wooden bows. It seems that the lvl4 wooden bow have overall worse damage than the lvl3 and even the lvl2 one. I frequently get lvl3 bows doing 28 damage but I've yet to get a lvl4 one that does more than 25. This is very strange
  5. This is something I would find interesting. Having items be repairable only a limited amount of times before they are permanently broken and will need to be scrapped for parts and re-crafted. It would make crafting more viable in the later game-stages when you got lvl6 gear of everything. I love this dynamic in Dying Light and I think it would work in 7 days as well.
  6. I have noticed this now and then, and I've been trying to search online for some explanation but so far not found anyone. I often find that items vary in stats even between same-quality. So I can have a lvl 2 piece of leather armor give 10 light armor. Or 9. Or even 8. This lead to strange situations sometimes when I get a higher quality piece of armor that give less armor. Same with weapons. I just crafted a lvl4 wooden bow that does one less damage than my lvl4 primitive bow. (using iron arrows on both) So, why did I bother crafting the wooden one for rarer and more expensive resources when the primitive one is better? Except for projectile velocity and durability, but that is much less important. I was expecting a damage increase when going up a weapon-tier. Is this on purpose? Do I have to craft multiple items and see which one gets better stats? Or what is at work here?
  7. I just lost a backpack too. In SP. Thank god it is still early game and I only lost some very basic stuff. But still, all my food and drink. Especially my 4 bottles of mineral water is a heavy loss as well as the dukes i had after selling some stuff to the trader. I've had this happen a few times. Twice in SP and I had a friend have it happen to her in our MP-game a while back. That hurt a lot more, since she lost a lot of lvl6-stuff. This bug seems to have been around a LONG time. Any idea how to fix it? I've seen zombies vanish into the ground some times when you kill them. Especially if you run them over with vehicles. Could it somehow be related?
  8. I remember reading somewhere to turn it off since it was unstable. But that was a while ago. I'll turn it back on and see where it gets us
  9. I think it is mostly related to our increasingly complex base and that dawn-lighting is more demanding than any other lighting. The thing that bugs me is that it doesn't matter if all of us are cooped up in a small box or if we're outside seeing the entire world. Shouldn't rendering be ignored for things that cannot be seen?
  10. This is the settings I play with. Except I used to have SS reflections at medium before these problems. I dropped them to low two days ago but saw no improvement in performance. Also I always shut off AF. I might try disabling bloom if we play again tonight. I've had no absolutely no issues with dawnbreak until we started playing multiplayer. I've soloed for many dozens of hours in Alpha 18.2 & .3
  11. I would think similar, but I don't know for sure. I would have to ask her. But still, a drop in performance of more than 50% despite being indoor just because the sun suddenly rises seems odd no matter the specs.

  13. https://pastebin.com/nFMRqtt3 This is from our last session. We basically ended just after dawn. I had tried lowering shadows and lighting details, but dropped as low as 15 FPS. Noteworthy is that if I look down into the floor, it gets worse. If I look straight up the framerate goes back up to normal. Does not seem to matter much if being indoors or outdoors. Oh, one more thing. It seems to be much worse when near our base. It doesn't seem to be as bad when we're out looting.
  14. Hi! We're three people who have been playing together for a week or so (I tricked the other two to start playing ) However, we've noticed that every day when dawn breaks, all of us get massive performance-drops. I go from around 40FPS to 20-25 FPS, and my two friends drop as low as 10. This remains through dawn but tends to normalize sometime around 7 or 8 am Is there something special the game does at dawn or is it just the visual effects? I don't remember ever having this issue when playing solo. It's a local mutliplayer and one of my friends is hosting the game.
