  1. /snaps fingers...OK try now. Check the UI tab under controls. 'Action Hot Key' (1 through 4) are what you want.
  2. I'd like to see us be able to upgrade items with weapon parts. I found a level 1 Drone in my latest world a few weeks ago. Now, being L10 in INT and having 40 or so robotics parts in my box, I'm still stuck with my L1 Drone because the schematic is proving to be so rare. I've got all these drone mods ready to be used but can only use one at a time so I'd very much like to be able to upgrade that L1 drone that's become my (sometimes annoying) little buddy. Same goes for that L1 pistol I found in a toilet. It would be much more rewarding to perk into pistols if I could upgrade my pistol each time I spent a point...rather than hording those parts until I max my crafting skill (by which time, as others have mentioned, I've usually found a purple).
  3. Aye...I assumed as much after poking around. Thanks for confirming though.
  4. OK...I will have another look tonight. Nice to know what to look for. Thanks very much
  5. Heya...hope someone can help. I would like to edit the drone hovering altitude (raise it up 1 m)...but not sure where to find it the cfg files. I've been looking through a bunch of config files...ones that seemed a logical place to find it, with no luck so far. I did find a reference to an NPC Junk Drone but I don't think that's the player drone...it seems like it might be a roaming trader but isn't actually in the game (yet?). Anyway, any help appreciated
  6. Well at least the 4x4 doesn't position itself in front of my face all the time. Drone is a bit of a fail for me for that reason. I've used it a fair bit and too many times it has flown in my face at just the wrong time. One wasted swing is not a big deal when chopping trees or digging etc but when it flies in my face as I'm shooting, the bullets just seem to vanish. It hasn't killed me yet but I figure it's only a matter of time. If it's hover altitude was raised to be just over my head instead of at eye level, I would use it all the time. Probably I can adjust this in a cfg file but I haven't gone looking for it yet. Anyway...4x4 still very much relevant for this survivor.
  7. I got my triples for sim racing, but the first time I played Payday with them and was able to hack a keypad in front of me and at the same time watch for guards in the hallways to the left and right of me with my peripheral, I was sold on them for shooters. Better than VR even for my money. WIll probably invest in one of these ultrawides in the nearish future.
  8. I'm aware. That's only in vehicles...not while walking.
  9. Not if I'd like to be able to grab my mouse in order to steer around a stump if need be. All my left hand is doing is pressing W.
  10. Mine is the lack of an 'auto-walk' (also 'cruise control' for vehicles) feature as is common in a lot of other games I play. It's nice to be able to take my left hand off the keyboard and have a drink or something when all I'm doing is walking/cycling/driving in a straight line in game. In a game where hours long game sessions are the norm it's also unhealthy.
  11. I've said before, and will say again...Crawlers should be able to 'rage' or have a burst of speed...that'd be creepy AF
  12. Nice. I run triples (mostly for my racing sim) but the bevels are a bit of a nuisance. With an FOV adjustment, this would be ideal for regular games...and waay better for the sim. I may have to go shopping
  13. I always thought the current screamer was kind of hot. Unsure about the change. Bah...who's kiddin'...I'd still hit that... ...with a steel club...

    Older players?

Yes, but we say sorry every time. To be fair, we have some fairly decent snipers over here, and we don't mind 'droppin' the gloves' I think it's kind of rude spam your ad in all these threads, but that huge white box is downright hostile.

    Older players?

52 I've played a bit, but not in a while and have been thinking of getting back in. What timezone you in? I'm EST (Canada).
  16. Don't have too many screenshots but this worked good for me. Hope you can make out the principle. Rather than building up, I dig down...keeps the zombies always at ground level so even if I miss, there's a good chance I'm hitting something behind. Outer walls prevent cops from spitting until they appear in the doorway, and my sights. Ditches around all the walls prevent zombies from beating on them and instead they path to the doorways, and into my sights. Inside. each of the four sides are the same...catwalks leading to the cage with hatches to control which way they come at me. Has sustained (once upgraded to steel) 3 demo's exploding (my bad and also the penetrator perk ) at which time I closed that route and opened another one. Electric fence wire runs vertical to freeze them next to the bars for easy headshots. If they fall off, blades gives them a chop before they climb the hill to come back at me. Other than the 4 blades and 4 electric fences, I have a couple junk turrets on the roof for Vulture defense. No spikes or anything...too much maintenance which is minimal anyway as it takes very little damage unless I mess up and trip a demo.
  17. Maybe. Other than editing vehicle speeds , I couldn't be arsed with modding the game at this point. A recipe seems easy enough, 1 paper, 1 plastic, 1 can or a handful of broken glass. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but I'd find it a handy device in the first week or so to let me know there's something creeping around outside my wooden door.
  18. Thanks...I thought so but wasn't 100% sure I was remembering correctly.
  19. Heh...ya...but a shotgun vs a safe is probably going to leave your face like American drywall... I think the point is the block damage is a abit over the top, making the shotties less viable overall...and that's a shame. Shotguns are my favourite in most shooter games but not in 7D. Maybe if all that block damage was reserved for a special ammo type and the default shells not do the damage of a howitzer
  20. Sounds sorta similar to my go-to A19 horde base. It's worked very well in all of my worlds so far with one exception. In all but that one world I made the foundation completely solid, the exception being the time I built over my mine. I had a ladder going down though the foundation and it failed when the zombies broke through the foundation, climbed up the ladder and got me. I can't say for sure the zombies 'detected' the ladder path but it sure seemed like it and after that, I went back to the solid foundation.
  21. I'd be reading that Drum mod schematic...you can get them from the trader but they're fairly rare in my experience...and since they fit onto a lot of the weapons (pretty sure TAR's, M60's, AK's, Auto Shotties and Junk Turrets, (maybe even the SMG)) being able to craft them would be invaluable. But, that's me...depends on your preferred weapons and how many you'd need. The steel tools too. They're only worth what 160 Dukes? Not that profitable for the inventory slot they take up. Plus you get a little XP (100 I think) every time you read them.
  22. I absolutely love this line and and unashamedly ripping it off...and if you don't like that, you can find another house to bark at
  23. Find a Big Mama...consume 6 beers...bam, party girl
  24. Not sure about Navezgane...I've been doing RNG since A 15 or so but it's the Tier 4 Quest Church with the broken roof and catacombs underneath. Edit...I think you can craft them as well with a pumpkin and a candle...
  25. Haha...looks like Wolfbain had the same idea at about the exact same time!! Great minds and all... BTW Adam...check out the front steps of the big church...there's a Jack'o'Lantern sitting there. I pick one up each time I get that church as a quest (I have quite a collection of them now... )
