  5. there is still a issue that texture filter setting in 7dtd options does only work for current runtime, it saves the value successfully in registry but does not apply it on next game start. means you have to change the value everytime you start 7dtd to apply it again, af driver setting does usually not change game settings at all, just overrides it.
  6. yes it is a 3d voxel game, and it is not the only voxel game out there. you are wrong, but i hope it is not deliberately because you are just white knighting here.. yes, it is just a snapshot and not a proper resource monitoring log, but at least it contains more facts than your assumptions or conclusions. sorry, i just hate that every performance issue topic gets silenced with "it is a 3d voxel game, gtfo"
  7. no, running a high res generally shifts from cpu bottleneck to gpu bottleneck.
  8. yes, AF tanks performance heavily in this game, i can't run more than 4x AF with my vega56 too without dropping in unplayable performance region. (without hitting vram limit btw) funnily it is not that bad for me in vulkan, in 18.1 i did some comparison and i had pretty much similar performance with very high graphic settings in vulkan (16x af too) compared to medium settings with 2 or 4x af in dx11. sad thing is, it crashes very very fast. i can counter some of the blurriness due to low af setting by using high (radeon) image sharpening setting without loosing any performance, guess you can give it a shot in your nvidia driver settings.
  9. game is poorly optimized because "alpha", i would NOT expect more than barely playable 30 fps with this rig. but we will get some drones and sledge turrets soon, it will be fine.
  10. i said it makes no sense, not that it is impossible. you can run dualchannel with uneven dimms, it is just dumb. 8+4 on one channel would mean that you effectively run 4+4 in dual channel speed, and the remaining 4gb of the 8gb stick are only singlechannel, this can lead to weird performance issues because you have _some_ data which you can address with 100% performance and some with 50%. very unpredictable.

    avg. 40fps (even lower in snow biome around 30, bit more in forest biome (45-50ish), indoor >90) 8700k (4.9Ghz) vega56 8GB (res: 2560*1440) 32GB Ram (3400MT/s, tight timings) 950pro nvme ssd most performance gain a setting gives me, without making the game look extremely ugly, is the reduction of af from 16 to 4x. useless post fx turned off (bloom, blur)
  13. this has nothing todo with farming itself, you just punch through items due to bad hit detection or some kind of min-distance. It happens everywhere you melee.
  14. If a PC is shutting down it is more likely a power issue anyways. CPUs and gpus are throttling down if they get too hot, if it is a temp issue you would likely see horrendous performance before it turns off. Bad ram cause usually app and os crashes, not instant shutdowns.
  15. get better cooling or turn down powerlimit.
