  1. We finally added the A20 mod that rolls the farming system back to A19 style, leaving crop in the ground with no seed returned when you farm. Sure its carebare mode for farming but Grinding Plants is not why I play 7D2D.
  2. Remember to Right Click, RIGHT CLICK!
  3. Yea but its just a point sink unless your build was going for that stat anyways.
  4. Yea they gave the skateboarder a different walking pathing than the other zeds I think so it made it hard to hit them until you got used to it. This new guy just has a ton of hp and a bit of a bob to his gait.
  5. Obviously we need glowing rabbits and chickens coming for our crops irregularly. Make us secure our farms with traps and shotgun to put the food supply at risk and then set the return value higher for the time investment without those precious skill points being wasted on farming skills. A small horde night with dozens of glowing rabbits coming to wipe out your food sources if you are not there to defend it. Setup auto-turrets and spikes or grab your guns, the lepus are coming.
  6. Right now farming is best left alone unless you are willing to put skill points into it. -Or you tweak the config file to return a seed every time to treat it like the old farms. Then you save your points.
  7. We had people on our server who had gotten motorcycles and suddenly wanted 4x4's before other people had even gotten motorcycles (groups not big on hand me downs). So there were silent groans as the wheels and acid went toward making 4x4's for some people. It was pretty funny.
  8. Acid and Wheels are the gate for vehicles it seems. In the old days you could chop up cars and tires for wheels and it solved that problem, now with the scarcity of wheels we have people who still have not gotten a motorcycle at 50 days into the game.
  9. I understand the need for it since stealth killing an entire Tier V poi quest is actually pretty common.
  10. I actually had lag last night since the first time in A20, like noticible lag that kept coming back for a while. We had 7 players on and I was away from them in the Wasteland doing quest. I noticed the lag as I moved around generating new areas.
  11. Why would you have loot respawn on? I don't even know anybody who would leave that on. So eventually you are going to run out of eggs. Would be nice if we could build a hen house out of a dead chicken (meat, bones and feathers?), some zombie flesh, wood and of course mutant corn. Have it pump out eggs like our farm crops pump out veggies. Maybe drop some feathers occasionally.
  12. Day 28 and we finally seem to have a handle on starvation for all players. Editing the config helped but I think the biggest boost was enough players getting high end food items to convert the meat and produce into food that actually does something instead of barely moving the hunger bar. The early food recipes were just not cutting it. It got pretty bad during the first few days of playing, two people were close to demanding that I edit the hunger speed. But now, everyone is fed and settled. I might revert the changes I made and give that a try. Although I think we are ok now regardless of any changes I keep enabled.
  13. "...............ya got any bleach nearby?" Not sure the 7d2d community could handle the Yer bit, Yer done part of PZ. But man the helicopter event would be pretty frigging epic. But I'd pay cash for that unholy step-child of a DLC mixed up of the two games. Nobody would ever complain again that there weren't enough zombies in the game.
  14. 7D2D with Project Zomboid rules would both hilarious and horrifying. Can we try it?
  15. Ok just a few hours ago I was dealing with hunger tossing any canned food I could at along with red tea, I had to make a run to a far trader to pick up a motorcycle chasis but was out of food. I just had red tea and yucca juice. Along the way RNGeezus gifted me a elk and a pig! I killed them without problem and chopped them up with a knife, my hunger went so far into red I started losing health. I made a fire pit and cooked up a WHOLE ELK and a WHOLE PIG (without skills mind you) and it, slowly, while drinking anti-hunger red tea.......a pig and a deer. All of it. I went red....to orange. Thats it. Less than 10 minutes later, it went back to red. No dysentery involved. I am not a fan of the current hunger system. If I sat down and ate a whole cooked pig and a whole cooked deer I WOULD DIE! on the spot I WOULD DIE, from EXPLODING STOMACH!!!!!!!!!! I would literally burst. What I would not be........IS HUNGRY! My son took 2 points of iron gut perk, he swears its a placebo that does nothing and wants his points back.
  16. Honestly it would be hilarious if wandering fat zombies would eat your crops if they come into contact with it. Force us to put up protective measures. Deer and Pigs too, those things should honestly be a threat to crops. Pigs can dig under walls and deer can hop a decent size fence, kiss a few plants goodbye.
  17. I gotta admit its starting to look like ya'll aren't against easy food, just anti-vegetarian. Lots of bear and wolf deliveries at our base lately. Very easy to get food if you are strict carnivore.
  18. Seems to be random. Sometimes we all see it and sometimes just 1 of us. I actually kind of like it. Need to have dust storms in the desert as well (not sure if thats in) that look different and slow you down and blizzards in the snow biom that make it impossible to hear. Other than that I like it so far.
  19. Once you have a small cache of antibiotics per person then you go with helmet light. But unless you are going for a "death doesnt matter" run you need at least some form of virus counter early on, or plan on never getting hit. Ever.
  20. Basically suck it up 🤣. The devs like it this way so don't expect it to change. The only reasonable solution for groups not happy with it is to tweak the server settings in the xml file to make farming not such a grind. Not exactly rocket science.
  21. I can see why they did it even if I don't agree with it. The players (especially the experienced ones) zip through the content and run out of things to do very quickly sometimes. Having to stop and grind out farming every few hours is one of the best ways to slow down the players progression. Upping hunger and removing easy ways to mitigate it is the best way to force the players to slow down and handle their hunger instead of chewing through "content" like ravenous teenagers. I don't really like it but I understand the need to do it to slow us down a bit. Now instead of blowing through POI's and looting we will have to pause and grind farming or go out on hunting trips (way more fun that farming at least). Fun loops, it always comes back to fun loops strangely enough.
  22. From steam user That Blind Person: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\ConfigUse Notepad or Notepad++ to open Blocks.xmlHit F3 and paste "3harvestplayer" search twice and you'll see<!-- NOT_A_SHAPE --><block name="plantedMushroom3HarvestPlayer">scroll down and change the prob="0.5" to prob="1", in the following line;<drop event="Destroy" name="plantedMushroom1" count="1" prob="0.5"/>search twice again for the next player harvest block for the crop you want and change those prob="0.5" to prob="1" for whatever plants you want.Personally I find 0.75 to be a pretty good sweet spot especially if you don't go for living off the land tier 3 right away. (I always do because I like me some farmin'.Always remember to create backups of your xml's before modding them. We will probably try this before everybody logs in tonight. Otherwise 1 person running a farm will never be able to keep up with 6 other players unless we make a farm the size of a small city. Anything is better than the current system even with skill points invested, talk about a grind.
  23. I actually really liked the wellness system, it gave a nice bite for messing up in the game and if you played well you were rewarded with a ton of HP/Stamina.
