Dang I hope by "punted" this means its still possible as a future change! I love this game and where it has gone from the A11/12 days when I first started playing it, but I really miss the horde night feel when I just didn't know where they would come from and had to protect everything. Now, you either make a killing corridor or some type of elevated path to you that they are forced to follow by their AI rules or, if you don't have one, as soon as one block is damaged, all zombies go to that one block and smash it open.
I would be very happy for a horde night sense slider and a digging slider.
Regardless, keep up the good work!

Anyone know of a good seed with lots of towns, all the major POIs, such as large factories, Dishong, Crack-a-Book HQ, and is relatively flat! I really don't like the huge chasms I come across in all the generated maps with no easy way to travel between them.

My biggest dislike so far is the change where you can't find anything good until you get higher game stages. It is so frustrating to open up sealed crate after sealed crate and have stone @%$*#! tools and weapons. I love how it looks, how it plays, but the linear loot progression sucks and is something I loved about the game in the past, that you could find something good day one.

I'm still in awe how long it takes me to generate 8k worlds on Vanilla (25 to 30 minutes) and on Nitrogen (3.5 minutes)! Someone needs to hire you, Damocles!

In the Nitrogen tool, it lists compopack 39. Will 40 be added soon?

So, downloaded and creating my first map. Anyone have any good options to try in the generator? I went with what it came up with other than removing burnt and wasteland. Is there any reason you need those in-game that I'll be missing out on? Oh, and I removed cracks as well.

Has anyone used this tool yet with 18.1 stable build 7? I just found out about this tool this morning and it looks great! I had generated a couple maps in Vanilla last night and they both looked like crap!

Not gonna lie, that would be a seriously cool feature to impliment.
I'm also looking at shipping some custom 8k and 12k worlds with DF in the future because it allows me to place prefabs wherever I want, so I can make a few custom cities and such for folks to explore.
Also means less being at the mercy of RWG.
That would be awesome! That way we would know we were seeing the content you intended!

Ooooh, that one. I remember Game Edged finding that and thinking "Holy crap, that's a bit good."
Wouldn't be so bad if there were less boxes and the workbenches weren't guaranteed to work.
I would prefer something that allows the player to select which POIs they want in the game and which they don't. This would be for vanilla as well. Instead of removing them, just make it where a player can specify if they do or don't want specific POIs. For example, I want the Dishong Tower in my worlds but no matter how many I generate, it just isn't there. Same with that parking garage - I'd like to play your mod with that garage not just have it removed.
Wonder if there is a way TFP could add selectable POIs. I know one I would remove - cell towers! Too damn many of them!

I have a problem with a certain quest. It's happened twice now. Same quest same problem. Its and clear and fetch quest. The loot to collect is fine but the last remaining spawn is well above the roof and cannot get it to spawn. Any way to force the spawn to finish the quest? I had this same thing happen in Vanilla so I doubt it is related to the mod. Drove us crazy looking for the last "clear" for 30 minutes and we finally gave up.

Damn - lost all my levels as well. I think i'll wait a while until this gets more stable. Love the mod and just went through day 7 horde but getting reset and not knowing all that has been "reset" sucks.

Calipers and torch? Where is the best place to find them? They do not occur in any crafting menus I can see.

Some of the crafting recipes have a hammer next to them. These hammers are sometimes white and sometimes grayed out. What do they mean? I'm trying to make the cheaper forged iron and I have the white hammer next to it but the craft option isn't available.

I am using the 7D2D mod launcher but it launched with the old version of the mod. How can I have it update the mod without erasing my existing game?

How do I go about finding the stuff I need to make other classes? I do not know how to find/make the skill notes and haven't found one in game yet and on day 12.

Anyone have any answer for why I'm only at 37 open slots when at strength level 7?
One of the things I am loving about this mod is the lack of guns! It is so much more satisfying to find one when you don't find 14 of them on day 1! LOL - More gun parts but very few guns. Love it! I have a stack of 9 mm in my base waiting for a working pistol or SMG or one I can build!

I am having an issue with the extra slots. I've purchased level 7 of strength and should have 12 extra slots. Right after I purchased it (the same thing happened when I went up to 8 as well) the slots were there. But after teh first time I became encumbered (I think this is when it happened), I lost some of the extra slots. I currently have no disease or other negative effects but only have 37 unencumbered slots when it should be 42. Am I missing something? Is this a bug? Thanks.

Forge, Big Forge, Advanced Forge - what do the latter two give you that the first two do not? I don't want to waste points in it just to find out - at least not without first checking

Also, a minor display bug - "Light Armor" and "Heavy Armor" perks have the same descriptions - both heavy armor.
OK - ignore the first question - just read their descriptions in-game.

Loving the mod! Thanks for the hard work! One issue I have is that I bought a "Bikes for Dumb♥♥♥♥s" book from the trader but after I got it I cannot read it. What are the requirements to read?
Another question - what is the base number of slots open?

I'd like to play this mod but also am playing another vanilla game on my rented server. Can I play this single player locally without messing up my client where I cannot play on my server?
I'm fairly certain I could do it by backing up and restoring but would prefer not to have to backup, install, restore, etc. each time I want to play the other game.

All POIs in generated maps option?

Is there an option planned for A20 or later where we could guarantee that all of the POIs available are generated on a map? I hate previewing the maps ahead of playing them as it spoils the fun of discovering but also hate not having all the higher level POIs such as the skyscrapers.
