  1. I ignored that reply, because it is not the cause. I'm also not sure it qualifies as a bug when it only happens on certain hardware. I have done extensive testing, although trying to find the cause was hard as 7 Days to Die is the only game this has been noticeable, but here it's unplayable without the aforementioned tweak I did. That also leads me to believe it's something that can be fixed, as other A-AAA games don't have the problem (and I have played literally more than 20 on this same screen), or at least not to the same extent.
  2. I noticed this same issue on my "new" monitor in 7 Days to Die, even though I haven't noticed it at all in any other game. I have played more than 20 games published in the last 3 years on this same setup (so I know the problem CAN be avoided), but 7 Days to Die is the only one where I have noticed this, and it's bad enough to make the game unplayable. What seems to cause it is what joshwa0816 suspected earlier, Black Smearing (my in-game experience with 7 Days to Die was almost as bad as the example in the video he linked). It seems to be a problem with almost all VA panels out there, and considering they are going to be more and more popular because of their low price for an otherwise great screen, this should be relatively high on the things to look into for the development team. What made it better for me (but did NOT fix it), was to set Contrast 10% lower, and Brightness 10% higher from NVidia Control Panel. It does make the game look flat and dated in comparison, especially the shadows, but at least I can now play for over an hour in one go (I actually got a migraine attack after 10 minutes of play).
  3. Thank you very much for this fix for a fix. Thank you also to the original creator of the mod.
  4. Great idea for a mod, thank you for making it. I'm especially looking forward to the scopes, as the current ones are very "gamey" for the reasons you described. I'm not a fan of Iron Sights in games, as they never really represent how they are used in reality (worst example are pistols, which are not held 5 centimeters from your face 😄), but anything better than current is an improvement into the right direction.
  5. Hello NPCmod team, and thank you all for your amazing work, very well done! Is it possible to make the NPC:s do shots to the zombies' bodies instead of headshots all the time (in my limited observations over an hour)? At the moment they seem to be incredibly good at killing zombies, practically leaving the zombies no chance to fight back... I can make changes myself for my personal use, just need an idea of what to change. Brilliant work guys, you should be very proud!
  6. Thanks for your great mods, Telric! I was testing the Health Bar mods, and for some reason in my testing not all of the zombies triggered the health bar to appear when wounded. It wasn't any particular zombie, but any of them would randomly not trigger it to show, even though I didn't just outright kill them. The V2 mod had about 1 in 3-7 failrate, V1 had about 1 in 10, sometimes 20. Any idea if this is happening more, or if it's something to do with my game's settings or my hardware?
  7. It's the complete opposite to what you thought it is. No setting that affects frequency at all.
  8. Hey. Been following this quietly, and wanted to comment on this one. This is how it works in real life too, and this is what makes snow biome so dangerous early on. If you make it easier, it will be way too easy for veterans, although it also depends on how well you have balanced the clothing... The "feedback loop" is there for a reason, and can be overcome very easily and quickly. As it is in vanilla, there are many different factors that affect cold weather survival, and while survival is hard early on in snow biome, it's perfectly possible, was even when weather survival didn't have a grace period of one day. I know this for a fact as I played in an all snow world for a couple of (real life) months after weather was implemented for the thrill of the challenge. I'm interested to see what you come up with balance-wise eventually.
