I was thinking about that. instead of it being real time, it would add a counter to the poi, and you would take a quest from the trader. the more counters the more zombies in the poi, and if it was over a limit then instead of them being sleepers it would trigger a massive horde that would storm out of the poi. Part of why i want to see this, is it seems that the hoard exists just to harass me. On one hand it's a video game, but on the other it feels like a waste if all they do is just wonder around to be a big fight. Since they despawn after a while and leave loot bags it really is better to let them wonder off. That feels kinda cheap to me and i would like to see them become a dangerous risk if left unchecked.
  2. If a wondering horde is not removed, instead of despawinging it should hit a poi and infest it. To complicate matters, have these infestations stack, to the point where it is like a clown car full of zombies. This type of mechanic would explain multiple things: Infested clears, and recover supply quests. How did the zombies get there? they moved in.
  3. Got back into the mod again. I must say that with a21 that this is peak. absolute peak.
  4. Is the newest version in the mod launcher? I am not seeing it there.
  5. I am glad you told me about tppoi, i was going to go and fly around with the gyro copter and try to find something that was not there. I did not realize that there were other pois missing until i did the reinstall. I was missing a prison and woodbury town. So it seems i was missing walking dead reference pois. I think it's because he put the bar brawling perks under both blunt AND bladed, so if you put points in that you get those benefits. If your wellness is taking a hit, then i recommend beer, which adds 5 wellness each time. i also recommend popping vitamins every time you see them. Wellness is a very sneaky mechanic and i see why the fun pimps dropped it, because if you keep it high then it makes the game easier, but if you take too many beatings at once, then the game becomes drastically harder. The beer + beef stew combo is 8 wellness and goes a long way AND beef stew fills you up.
  6. not only did i start a new game, after deleting the old one, but i had it download from steam instead of copy an existing version. So it looks like the pois are there. I am suspecting a botched install, because 1: i was not getting poisoned in the last two games. 2: there was no mayburry poi on the last krunch map, there is one now next to where i spawned, and 3: i see eves camp. Not sure what i did to botch the install. i had downloaded the hospital bed mod AFTER i installed darkness falls, as a means to cope with all the beatings i was getting. That mod did not work so i had to resort to getting good again.
  7. Whelp, i do not know what the hell i did, but somehow, on DFalls-krunchMap-large-12k I caused it to not spawn eve. Gonna have to nuke and pave I am hoping that mod is the culprit. It's not a loss because it never worked right to begin with, which is a shame because working hospital beds, even in french, would be a cool thing to have in a base. A working base infirmary. but it's in french and i do not know how to make a hard mattress that the mod needs. Gonna do a full nuke and pave. Thanks everyone for the help with the troubleshooting.
  8. Ok. so far it looks like everything is working well outside of the eve quest. I found dr anna on accident because of the smoke coming out the chiminey. the interstate is there on the krunch map, and the interstate rest stops and merchants are there too. Where are eve's coordinates on the big krunch map? i will check to see if she is there or not or if something bugged out on my end. I used the mod launcher to install the mod. Is that how everyone else does it, or are they downloading from somewhere else them putting it in the mods folder?
  9. It was krunchmap large 12k. I found anna, and razor, but i auto fail the eve quest i will try that tppoi command later on to see what happens. Also, are there supposed to be bandits? i am not seeing bandits.

  11. Can this be a feature? That honestly sounds like a blast! could you imagine if too many demons stay in a spot too long on horde night a portal spawns. Also, the map i was using is dfmeduim 1, NOCP. So not sure why eve did not spawn. I am on the big krunch map and i like it better so it all works out.
  12. I am pretty sure i went with the darkness falls mediumcp with that one. I will double check later. I decided to start up a new game with the big krunch map. the one with the highway system. Hopefully i won't have that problem there.
  13. It's the medium map. I got the quest from razor. I don't think he would spawn with RNG.
  14. Bit of a dumb question, but i am playing on v4.02 on the medium-cp map, and when i do razors quest to find eve, it fails immedietly saying she is not on the map. Is this normal, or did i screw up the install in some way? I am assuming that the CP = compo's map?
  15. Are you sure about that? because i can see each level of a perk, starting at 2, opening up a new form. You would only get forms if you had the perks in those weapons and hit a level of perk. level 5 knife perk would unlock the defense form, which would block and counter. it would be cool to watch and fun.
  16. The trick would be RNG skyscrapers, where the skyscrapers have an internal RNG system that changes when a quest is activated.
  17. Madmole is going to overhaul the experience system again. Either that or it's the new armor/clothing system
  18. I would like to see multiple combat forms for melee weapons. These would be activated by holding the R key and selecting the form you want to use. They would have different animations for the attacks, and have different focuses: balanced, defensive that may block/counter attack, and offensive that does more damage but you take more damage.
  19. The problem with being an innovator and a pioneer, is you don't know what is out there. I originally did not like the raider gurls, they did not talk to me. However they grew on me real fast, and i found myself not shooting unless i was shot at. Art happens, and out of pure accident this created a true to life post collapse scenario where you do not know who is hostile and who is not until you get shot at. Now what complicates things, is I do not know what you guys are capable of. So what can we ask for? This complicates things a lot. Should hostile bandits surrender if they take too much damage? Should they try to join the player if they are alone? should they steal from unlocked boxes? What can they be made to do? The npcs really change the game quite a bit. I got machined gunned down right at spawn by a raider. Sometimes you rescue npcs from zombies, and sometimes zombies rescue you from npcs. I mean they do a lot of crazy things. Part of me would like to see some type of settlement system, where you place a special land claim, and as you place certain blocks npcs will show up and do work there. the caveat is that this settlement WILL be attacked on horde night, so you will have to defend it.
  20. I had a non hostile gina from the raider gurlz pack living with me for a bit. I am not sure if they seek out player bedrolls or if this just showed up, but it was a nice organic playing experience. I found myself modifying my base ( the destroyed urgent care office) so that she can move more freely and shoot at zombies, and she took care of aggroed night zombies and screamers for me. Really changed the game up and it's a shame it's not a vanilla feature

Maybe them breaking the closets is not a good idea, but change the closets into a cheap style door? the added benefit is it won't be destroyed by bolts or arrorws so now you HAVE to sneak up on it, or send the drone to open it. Now that would be a good drone use: opening doors you know, in the older alphas you had this eye around the crosshairs and it would say "hunted", maybe they should bring that back but as an unlock in the perception tree? Under the tracker book? I understand why they got rid of it, but at the same time i do not understand how i can track rabbits but not zombies....
  22. Drone bullhorn mod You send the drone in, you say "wake the place up" then you wait for it to come back and it will tell you how many zombies it saw in the poi. The caveat is have ferals stay awake and chase it out. I mean if you are smart enough to make shock batons, a jeep from scratch, and a talking drone; then you should be smart enough to find alternatives to sneaking into a place, or better ways to clear a poi.
  23. I think that is in the works, including zombie patrols. The problem with randomized locations is the clear missions. Those will become even more difficult with the bigger pois. I do think they need to be revised a bit. But then, as i think about it, why are they asleep? how often do they fall asleep? Now that would be an interesting stealth mechanic, where if poi zombies lose sight of you they either go to a monster closet, a corner, sit down, lay down, or sleep in place. Now that would make pois more interesting, where if you make too much noise they will wake up and walk around, then go back to sleep. Like a shifting poi.
  24. I wish we had drive buy mechanics. Saits row and GTA did, why can't 7 days? bicycle drive bys would be great.
  25. I would use this in single player. One of the tactics for melee builds i follow is to walk into the door, hit the wall to wake up the sleepers, then fight them in the doorway. Being able to "shout" into a room to wake it up would be fun.
