  1. For no known reason the webmap started working properly and all the expected check boxes show up. I made no changes *at all* though the options showed following a scheduled restart. However, the server process was restarted many times prior and it made no difference. Weird. Sorry I don't have anything more concrete to offer.
  2. On my server I am the only one set to 0. I believe this is the same or related to the issue Gilthanaz reported.
  3. I was not real clear with that post...no I mean other administrators on other servers are reporting the same problem.
  4. It appears at least some have a problem with the web map not displaying all the admin options (player location, inventory, logs etc.) I updated to rev 336 but no go. webpermissions.xml and serveradmins.xml set correctly I think: Level: Web function 2000: web.map 0: webapi.GetAnimalsLocation 0: webapi.GetHostileLocation 0: webapi.Null 0: webapi.GetPlayersOnline 0: webapi.GetPlayersLocation 0: webapi.GetPlayerInventory 0: webapi.GetLandClaims 2000: webapi.getstats 2000: webapi.executeconsolecommand 0: webapi.GetLog 2000: webapi.getwebuiupdates 0: webapi.GetServerInfo 0: webapi.GetPlayerList 2000: webapi.getallowedcommands 0: webapi.GetPlayerInventories 0: webapi.viewallclaims 0: webapi.viewallplayers Level: SteamID (Player name if online) 0: 765611xxxxxxxxx07
  5. Found a solution to my problem. Since Ravenhearst is based on A15 code, I have to use a version of Alloc's server fixes that correspond. In the case of Ravenhearst 2.2 you can use http://illy.bz/fi/7dtd/server_fixes_v12_14_19.tar.gz, download and unzip into your Mods folder. As far as I can tell this restores all the features from Alloc's server fixes, including the web map.
  6. Greetings all: I am a long-time admin on a Valmod server. To give our players a change we decided to install Ravenhearst. Everyone loves it! I do have a problem with interoperability with Alloc's and Coppi's admin mods though. This is a known problem I suppose? Any work-arounds? Thanks!
  7. Hi Alloc: I hope you can help me understand the "saveworld" command a bit better. I know the command writes the current world state to the region files, but what else does it do? Player information too? Most important, if I backup the various data files isn't it going to be a problem if the server is writing to a given file at the same time I am backing up that file? When restoring that file, I could restore a corrupted/incomplete file... I appreciate any other info you care to include :-)
  8. Alloc says adding "--experimental" to the "updateengine" command will do the trick.
  9. Another approach would be to write a script that "front-ends" Alloc's "tele" command. For instance, you set a chat hook to look for "my_tele" or somesuch, and then have your script figure out all the conditions that must apply for the teleport to work. In the end it either does or does not teleport the user. Something like this would be pretty easy to implement. Yet another approach is to use a management tool like CBSM that provides a "gate" feature.
  10. I recently started a new seed on my server and upgraded to Valmod 3.25. Now when I use the web map's "inventory viewer" the server restarts...it's not like a crash as we lose no time and no forges are bugged. There are no errors in the logs, but nor are there shutdown messages. This is very odd behavior....anyone else seen this?
  11. Hello all: Has something changed recently in the way the chat log works? All I see is "player joined," "player left" and "player died." No actual chat messages from players. This is also affecting the chat hook, which I use so players can send me emails if they need help and I am not in game.
  12. Greetings all: Does the web map work with Navezgane? Superficially at least I can't see any reason for it not working, but on my test server with Navezgane the web map listener never fires up. It appears it is trying to but fails: 2016-03-11T13:20:59 5.407 INF Error in Web.ctor: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Address already in use at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Bind (System.Net.EndPoint local_end) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Net.EndPointListener..ctor (System.Net.IPAddress addr, Int32 port, Boolean secure) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Net.EndPointManager.GetEPListener (System.Net.IPAddress addr, Int32 port, System.Net.HttpListener listener, Boolean secure) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Net.EndPointManager.AddPrefixInternal (System.String p, System.Net.HttpListener listener) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Net.EndPointManager.AddListener (System.Net.HttpListener listener) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 I have a RW on the same server and its web map is working fine. The telnet ports are configured differently (RW on 8081, Navezgane on 8061), so I thought the web map would use <telnet port> + 1 for the web listener, or 8062. If this is working as designed is there any reason why the web map could not be made to work with Navezgane?
  13. Darn. 4GB addressable RAM for the 32bit Linux client is proving to be constraining. If Unity/Steam would fix whatever the 64bit issue is then I'd be very happy. The 64bit server seems to work fine except such a server won't show up in the browser list...it seems like such a small thing :-|
  14. Do I understand correctly that you removed/disabled the client code, so A14 will have a "real" dedicated server? If so that is awesome! I hope the server will run with greatly reduced memory requirements as a result.
