  1. @KhaineGB Thanks for updating this so quickly upon the release of 19.4, and for increasing the size of the muscle car's storage space.

     

    I've uninstalled the mod through the launcher, re-downloaded it via the same way to ensure a 19.4 build from Steam, and I've not seen a single issue thus far. I'll miss out on maybe a few minor bits, but can always restart if needed. Far as Alpha 19 goes, are you planning to add any more to the mod? There's plenty already, merely curious. Loved playing this back in Alpha 17 with folks.

    @KhaineGB I have come across a few such books, just one the other day that added to bladed weapons skill, so thanks for confirming that bit. 

     

    @Canute Not having any issues with the launcher, it works very well for me. Was more asking if save compatibility would be an issue, but I'll just stay with the current version. Maybe restart later if my character feels too OP. I'm a bit overkill on backing things up, so save and copy my data each time I'm done with a session of 7 Days.

  3.   Have a question regarding this mod as it and the base game move forward. How do we go about updating it and keeping our progress when playing through the 7 DtD Mod Launcher? I like DF quite a lot, but can't see myself wanting to grind my LBD skills all the way up to their current 50 hour+ playtime my world currently has. In vanilla you can just use the console to get your level back through cheating in XP, but the LBD system of old still has skills gated and closed with extra requirements needed for some progression.

     

      If I'm merely able to pre-sync the mod via the launcher, no problem. When 19.4 drops and this mod gets updated, should my save still work? Would I need to re-download the newer 19.4 compatible DF though the launcher and re-add my world / save files? I've no idea, usually wait for the last patch to drop before playing mods, but that's hard with 7 Days to know which'll be last.

     

    Any help appreciated, and thanks for the mod.

    I've seen and had this happen as well. Only workaround for me was to exit the game completely, or at least back to the main menu and reload the game. Its annoying, but seems to work. Am playing on Pregen2, no idea if that's relevant. Shouldn't be.

    Build yourself a research station and place it. It unlocks schematics to level up things like items and weapons. Start with the lowest tier ( Believe its E, highest seems to be A? ) and work your way higher when you have the required bits. There's tiers of tables and benches as well, but its a place to start.

     

    I've no idea if you can simply wait and build the highest Tier bench, and have it do everything. Perhaps Subquake can clarify.

  6. Remembered this mod well from the Alpha 16 days, glad to see its back and has more content. Thank you for your continued work, and releasing it for Alpha 19. The UI, workstations and new items look great, too.

  7. Hey Seeker, the only other time I've seen this problem happen is if a Sorcery save is loaded without Sorcery, even if only briefly. Not sure if that's a possibility for your situation, but this is the only report of the problem. The latest update v0.7 does not alter or remove skills in any way that would cause a reset.

     

    I've no idea how that could happen since I'm launching through the mod launcher, just figured I should report the issue. This mod is the only I've been playing lately, because its fun and all. Suppose I'll just get back to grinding for levels and reacquire skills. If the save did somehow get borked, can always restart.

  8. I've run into a bit of a problem here. I stopped playing yesterday evening, not too far from the first horde night. Have sunk points into the normal trees besides sorcery to build, craft, get good items and all that. Even put the XP gain at 300% so I could have more fun, while still putting in the time for grinding zombies, mats and all.

     

    Issues is, when I logged into the game today, well.. all my character stats were reset. I always copy and back up my save files in case something gets corrupted. Took a screen to show this, hence me having steel tools and such. Even if its not able to be duplicated, none of my gathered items in chests disappeared, and my tower in the making is still there. I'll keep playing, just.. well that's annoying.

     

    Any help or insight would be appreciated.

     

    Edit : am using mods other than Sorcery, the HDHQ texture pack ( 2K version ) and some of the modlets available via the launcher.

    Have you tried Ice Storm? :p

     

    If all goes well, Lightning will be implemented end of April.

    You shouldn't require a new game when it's released, though, if you wanna start saving up that Lightning Essence!

     

    I have not tried it yet, but will soon. I wanted to give this a try against hordes with 32 Zombies, and found is surprisingly well balanced and effective. Fire and Ice pair well with eachother, both precise hits, and the AoE spells / effects. The particle effects look really nice, and the abilities that come with casting tools once leveled.. kind of make it so you don't need to spend points on other cool perks in vanilla 7 Days.

     

    Really nice work with this mod.

  10. Really fun mod, especially once you master the Fire element. I've another question though, about Lightning. I can't seem to unlock it, the perk tree just shows next to the checks as 'Disabled'. Not sure if this is a bug, or it isn't yet implemented.

  11. Greetings! v.68 is stable and there'll be no conflicts in updating with your current game.

    It's hard to say whether or not a restart is worth it if you are literally about to place your Conjure. Speeding that process up, temporarily through the intro quest, is the only major benefit of a restart.

     

    Think I'll go ahead and just keep playing then. I only need clay soil still in order to craft this 'station'. Thank you for the quick response, your mod looks interesting and unique.

  12. I've a question about this mod, as I just started playing it yesterday. Started on 0.68, and since this has been updated to now 0.69, should I restart? I've only got to the point in the mod's questline where I'm about to craft the Fire Conjure in which spells and such are made.

     

    Noticed above that some things, such as crafting time, and resource rates for gathering have been changed. Will updating from 0.68 bug this do you think? Have no issue about restarting, I'm used to the grind in 7 Days. Just want a less buggy experience going forward, and my instinct says to restart.

     

    Any word of advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

  13. Try running the launcher as administrator if you haven't already. One thing windows continually fails at is user account controls. A person would think if there is only one user and they are set as administrator that everything they launch would be launched as administrator but they would be wrong. The way windows assumes everyone who uses it is an idiot that can't be trusted is quite annoying. Some days I miss dos. One simple command from you and it will kill itself. Thats how machines should be. You start letting them question our every actions and we are one step closer to skynet.

     

    I looked into it, and I'm running 7 Days to Die as admin, and also enabled the older .NET 3.5 / 2.0 options in Windows 10. I'm not sure what fixed it.. did install the launcher again after posting that the other night with Admin level privilege, but its working again, so thank you regardless.

     

    As for the mod, yeah. Its really fun to play, especially with others like I've been doing. Almost can't wait to see what changes 2.1 will give us players. Thanks again KhaineGB, and Scwanobi.

  14. Any idea @KhaineGB what could be causing this error? I just upgraded my OS to Windows 10 last night / this morning, was playing Darkness Falls the latest non-experimental with others through the mod launcher yesterday, no issue. If I click the pictured 'okay' button, the green syncing meter ( Refreshing Mods for Darkness Falls - Cancel Sync ) shown below stops, like the process has quit working.

     

    I even reloaded .net framework 3.5 and 2.0 via Windows Features. Suppose all I can do is.. wait a while and see if the issue resolves itself.

  15. Just a localization issue.

     

    It's still there. Initial upload of the mod had a localization derp that I fixed about... 15-ish minutes later.

     

    EDIT: Ok, did a small hotfix.

     

    - added durability back to the battery since the bank is apparently a pain.

    - made bacon and eggs always unlocked.

    - re-pushed the localization file, just in case.

  16. Have a question, and great mod by the way. In the last version ( 2.03c? ) Parkour was blended with the Agility base stat. Noticed in this now with 17.2 installed, and 2.04 Darkness Falls, it seems to be either gone, or the text is missing.

     

    Any heads up if it was just taken out? That's fine, just curious. Asking for me, and someone else.

  17. Looks like 2.0 is coming tomorrow. Some more bug testing today and then Release first thing I wake up so I can be awake all day to catch ANY remaining issues. This one changes some things so prepare for a LONG set of patch notes ;) I am very proud of what fixing bugs has led me to in terms of additions and balances and I think you guys will like it as well.

     

    Appreciate all the work and time you spend on this, not only to move the mod forward, but to share with us, too.

     

    So, Thank You. Have been playing this mod while I wait for Alpha 17 to come out. ( Been enjoying the Bows class ).

  18. I had tried to explain this a page or two ago. It's not that it's broken, just a game mechanic at work that is separate from the blood moon horde.

     

    I'm totally fine with that. The idea of the Zombies in the area surrounding coming for you at a certain time is a nice mechanic. Thanks for the clarification, too.

    So. If this is going to be updated ( 1.09 I think earlier posts mentioned ) should we, or at least I just wait to play it again until then? Mod is enjoyable, but after selecting the 21 Day Blood Moon Horde, I saw another post mentioning Day 7/8 still saw a horde. Wondering if that's broken, or couldn't be helped.

     

    Regardless, thanks for sharing this mod here.
