  1. Anyone know if there is a way to get the "Stay Clear" mod (https://forums.7daystodie.com/forum/...wn-18-3-tested) working with Darkness Falls, or edit the install to similar effect? I've really wanted to have a server game with no loot or zombie respawn. Setting the loot to like 10000 days will work, but stopping respawn in POIs is another issue entirely.
  2. Ok, so...I am running a server with Darkness Falls installed, which as far as I can tell is already using/including DMT. Other than just dropping this into the MODS folder, what else do I need to do to make this mod work? It seems like there is another, probably crucial step...
  3. Long shot but, there wouldn't happen to be a modlet out that that just added Darkness Falls style traders and guards, would there? IE, open all night, but not damage proof, and all that goodness. Looking at firing up a kind of "newbie" server to go with the mix of 17 and 18 DF servers I already have, for folks who aren't quite Darkness Falls ready. Yet.
  4. Well, going forward, use the mod launcher. http://7d2dmodlauncher.org/ If you've been on the forums and doing modded games I'm sure you've caught references to it. With the launcher you can have a separate install for each modded game, and keep the versions intact even when "vanilla" or the mod itself updates. The supposition that you updated is probably correct, but you might as well check to see what versions each of you are on. If you are indeed on a later version of 7DtD, you can probably go into STEAM and set your game version to an earlier one, to match the coop game.
  5. Unless I misread changes, the values for Drop on Death and Drop on Quit are not the same. "0" on Drop on Quit is drop nothing, but on Drop on Death "0" means drop everything. There is no "drop nothing" option for death, 0=everything, 1=toolbelt only, 2=backpack only, and 3=delete all.
  6. It's the second level of the WORKSTATIONS perk, iirc. I believe the prerequisites are TOOL MAKING at level 2, and CONSTRUCTION TOOLS at 30. If you haven't been doing a lot of block improvement you are probably shy on the constructions tools......
  7. Well, I haven't started playing the new WotW yet, but I will hazard a guess....in most mods quest type crafting requires you to keep the crafting window open until the crafting is complete, not start the crafting and walk away until it completes. Did you try that?
  8. You need the localization file to have the mod info. I believe there are instructions around here for how to do that, although I think having the mod itself in your local MODS folder will do. Otyherwise you need to append the data from the mod's localization file, to the localization file of your 7 Days to Die install.

The mod designer hasn't been on recently, but I think I can answer your question. To begin farming animals, you'll need to do the introductory quest. There are a LOT of quests you can do to learn various recipes in this mod. Quest papers are written in your queue by combining one piece of coal, and one paper. I'd suggest that you take a piece of paper or coal and look at all the recipers that can be made from it; you'll probably discover quite a few things. Anyway, for animal farming, the quest you want will be "The Basics: Livestock" if I recall correctly. Good luck.

It's pretty random which seeds you find. I think cupboards, trash, and some other containers are the most likely though. That said, did you do the beginning farmer quest? I can't recall what it is called off the top of my head, but you can check on the possible recipes for coal or paper, and you should see a VERY long list of quests. It takes one paper and one coal to "write" the quest, you then activate it by reading. Anyway, the entry level farming questv will reward you with a box of seeds, two (or is it four?) of each type. Be warned: You will need your full inventory available, plus a few toolbelt slots IIRC. Otherwise whatever is left will drop to the ground, and may actually fall quite a ways away. You must destroy the crate from the quest to get the seeds....you should also be ready for half the seeds (all the varieties, but half the total quantity) to drop just before you finish destroying the crate, and the rest to drop when you finish destroying it. The other important point is that the quest is repeatable, just craft it again, as many times as you need to.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think it is partly the whole "realism" thing. Where did the jars go? If you get jars back from this, and you get jars back frown that, why not in this case?

Fair enough, thanks ! I wasn't too concerned with the wings, but I could see her point on losing 75 jars in the process of making one batch of cheese, all told.

Love the new stuff, although we got hit with the "reset your character to level one" glitch after updating. Oh well. Will teach me to keep more backups! One question, or possibly request: Should we get jars back after using Briny Solution in recipes? My wife was shocked to be losing 15 jars a pop on various things, thought perhaps that was not intended. She wanted me to add that the "sauce" to "wings" ratio seemed high. I believe she indicated that it was one entire jar of sauce to one wing? Thought it was excessive for the return buff. Love the Salmon Ponds, looking forward to more stuff there!

So if I understand correctly, you can scrap halite into salt. But where do you get halite? I was assuming it would be a byproduct of mining but no joy so far. Biome specific?
