  1. I apologize if this has been discussed before... I've reviewed the last 15+ pages, and did not see anything similar. Is there a way to create a custom prefab list using the specific prefabs found in an overhaul mod, e.g. War3zuk or ExcitusXtreme? I've created a NitroGen map with CompoPack and used it in several War3zuk playthroughs, but it does not have the special versions of POIs that War3zuk has created for his mod. I know I can just make random gen maps through the game, but it take forever and I cannot customize city size, biomes, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And, please bear with me, if you can help, please "dumb it down hard" for an old foggy like me who is only barely computer literate. Thanks!
  2. Would it be possible to create a "placeholder", something like a certificate or special paper for the quest completion? Meaning, you accept the quest, it gives you your tasks AND a certificate (looks like a quest paper or whatever). If the task is "kill 20 ____" then after you finish killing the 20 whatevers, you need to put the certificate in your inventory, and THAT (placing in inventory) is what finishes the quest. Then, the quests "takes" the certificate away, and replaces the spot with the reward bag. My fear is that if you just give a bag of items as the reward, the same thing would happen if your inventory is full as it would normally.
  3. I think Khaine just called me "Daft" for testing out 1.8 (which is awesome, by the way). I've I wasn't so dumb, I might understand what the term "daft" actually means. Hopefully means Handsome, Talented and Tall. Guessing not. - - - Updated - - - Absolutely join us on Discord. I've tried to test out the wasteland and new stuff... it is awesome (scary, but awesome). Though, I think there is something to be said for finding out all the great stuff "live" when doing a real playthrough. I'm going to hate going back to the beginning and not playing with my laser rifle and repeating cross bow.
  4. Ugh, maybe I had my inventory already full, or maybe I'm just dumb as a rock and did not notice. Anyway, thanks Gup for the info, I'll give it a shot.
  5. Quick question if anybody can help: are any of the barrels in the POIs filled with anything useful, and if so, how to extract? I'm on latest build, and find many barrels (placed on horizontal axis) and try to fill with empty waterskin. Makes the noise and animation that something is happening, but the waterskin remains empty. I've tried breaking it down with an axe, and it will change to the same item but with a 1/1 hit point indicator. Try there too, I think same animation and sound, but nothing. This is not the ones you can pick up that sit on vertical axis. Am I doing something wrong, is this RNG (not all have mead), bug? No big deal, still loving this mod!! Got my first ever wandering horde of zombies (burning guys and 3 or 4 custom pale guys). Holy moley, they were packing some gold!! Yikes, gonna go on a shopping spree once the daylight hits.
  6. Khaine... BOOOOOOO on you for making me kill Kickz!!!!!! But, kudos to you for giving Charlie such a funny description!! Man, it was creepy coming up on him... seemed so real. Went to one of his recent vids and apologized to him for killing him in my world. This mod is awesome, many thanks.
  7. Fix what, that was GREAT!! Different, but different is good. There were a bunch of irradiated and some regular dogs. Good fun trying to pick off the glowing ones quickly to make sure they didn't blow up in my face. There were some regular zeds as well, but not too many. I did catch a bunch of crawlers out in the distance... maybe I got a few of them out there struggling to make it to my base, and that is why so few "human" zeds showed up. Anyway, don't fix anything (unless you think that was a bug). It was great. Unexpected, but great. Gotta start thinking about whether my next horde will be bears, or maybe a flock of irradiated buzzards. Holy crap would that be amazing... just need to figure out how to account for that possibility. Oh, finally, can you give me a bit of a clue as to where to find Kickz? I found that quest, but have not run across him in the world. I think I found a zombie trader at some point (did not mark it) and killed a bunch of zeds inside, but that was before getting the quest. Are they related? Does Kickz hang out in the zombie trader?
  8. Khaine, Dude, I was all about to send you some coffee. Then day 21 horde arrives... tough zombies? No, almost no zombies. Instead, dozens and dozens of effin' irradiated, exploding dogs. Seriously? Really? Come on man... What fun!!! Did NOT expect that. Animal Hide FOR DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Just want to say again, Khaine, thanks for the great mod, been really fun so far. Also, kudos for the "foreface" quest, I'm a big fan of G4K, it's fun to see so many mods incorporate his joy of this game into their own work. I love this community! Just a question, though, something kinda freaky happened last night. While doing some night crafting, I heard a pickaxe banging away outside. Cause this is a solo game, I thought, that's not right. Sure enough, I see an NPC with a pickaxe going to town on my POI wall. WTF dude!!! Did not look like a bandit, just looked like a normal friendly NPC. Well, I had to end him... did not find the pickaxe (looked like a steel one, but was doing no damage). Is this a thing? Kudos if so. But, if it is supposed to be a thing, is there anyway to make them do real damage to the walls? Again, so much fun, much appreciated! Going to figure out a way to get you some coffee soon. Goat
  10. Oh, okay. Maybe one of those times was just a single irradiated dog. I've been known to engage in hyperbole from time to time. In any event, this has been a very fun ride so far. Doesn't hurt to have a great random seed (which I lucked into) and a great starting location (again, pure luck), along with some fortunate drops from time to time.
  11. I'm right there with you Siveria, though only on day 11 (I believe) in this world. Key is to not bring any Zeds with me toward the traders. That's one reason I was not happy to see the fix about Silenced weapons. If I hear shooting, I wait it out. Also, I don't allow Zeds to follow me toward a trader. If any Zed is near me when I get 15 blocks away or so, I stop, kill them (or ditch them if possible), before getting close. Also, learned, if you hug the outside walls, the guards won't target you. So, I can wait out there for it to clear out, and then make a run for it away. Of course, I wouldn't mind if you toned down the hordes of irradiated dogs I seem to get every other day!!!!!! Not sure why that happens to me, did not see Kage have such problems. Luckily, of the 4 attacks, one happened when I was on a roof already so they ran right by, two others happened when I was inside a trader, was able to escape on the other side, and one time I luckily heard them approaching why mining boulders, and made it too a roof/ladder just in time (always mine boulders high of stamina beer!!!).
  12. KhaineGB, thank you so much for this great mod!! I'm having a blast. Very creative getting rid of the clock... was a hassle at first, but I get why you did it (makes sense for immersion sake). I'm still struggling with time, but that's on me, I could do better. As a perma-death player, I'm super cautious, so I "waste" a little time before 22:00 just waiting... but I'll get better. Keep up the great work, it is much appreciated!!
  13. Please, when EXACTLY will this be ready for us dirty masses? Please tell me 12:00:01 a.m. eastern time (USA)!!!! Please!!! I'll take a nap right now and wake up tonight to play until kids wake up for school. Please don't make me go to work all day Monday without getting a first-hand taste of 3.0.
  14. Is it March 26 yet? I'm gonna go Cartman and freeze myself until March 26... just need to find a reliable "Butters" to thaw me out and not let me go too far in to the future!! Oh, and "are we there yet?"
  15. So excited to get ahold of 3.0 when it is ready. Kage will be excited to learn he still has a bit of time on his current world (he just found the Minibike book and lamented the idea that it meant you were about to release 3.0 immediately... to make his find "worthless"). Was hilarious episode.
  16. Good gosh, that is hilarious (well, for me, not you who had to live through it). Seems you found the Retirement Village... an over-powered POI with massive loot in several locations. It can be guarded by very powerful enemies... though I've never seen it that bad before. When I've found it, I usually get a few radiated cops, and a LOT of running football players and other ferals. Never that much as in your pics. I'm still looking for the Retirement Village in my current 5.2 playthrough. I'm on day 33, and I'm pretty well equipped... but I don't think I'd be able to survive what you showed. Guess I'm gonna keep a bunch of Splody Bolts with me at all times now.
  17. Can anybody help me, I ran into a null reference error that I cannot seem to "out-run." I get these every now and then, but the go away quickly when I leave an error that seems to have triggered the error. But this one followed me all the way back to my base 2km away (luckily got home without being killed). I tried to get rid of all the new gear in my inventory, thinking maybe something I picked up at the traitor (?) triggered this... but don't get any relief. I'm moments from day 14 horde, so I'm afraid to re-log back in if the issue is still there. I'm going to copy the portion of the output log that is repeating non-stop for several minutes: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at EntityNPC.OnUpdateLive () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at EntityAlive.OnUpdateEntity () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at World.TickEntities (Single _partialTicks) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at GameManager.JQ () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at GameManager.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 (Filename: Line: -1) Any help would be greatly appreciated.   18. I'm only on day 2 in the new WotW, so I have not experienced this yet... but I've noticed some things like this in other mods recently (coins in GNAMod Horde mode and a pick axe--I think--in Merry ComSenMod).
  19. One thing I noticed is that it appears the Pirate Ship spawns WAY too much. I watch G4K, Kage and GE, and each found Pirate Ships within their spawn location. In my world (different seed), I found 2 near each other, all on the way from my spawn point to my trader. I love this POI, but maybe it should be a bit more rare... like the Sphinx or Stonehenge or Retirement Village in the previous version (In 3 playthroughs to day 50 each, I found the Sphinx only in one world, and have yet to find Stonehenge in any seed). Though, I'm just on day 2, and maybe the two ships I found are the ONLY ones in the world, and I'm just extrapolating incorrectly on limited data.

  21. Again, sorry for being a noob. To see what I am referring too, please check out Games4Kickz' youtube video (the very first part, intro, shows the types of crates I was referring too): The screen shows the name: "Storage Box Insecure" Again, I do NOT want the amount/type of loot you would find in War of the Walkers (like G4K found in the video) as that is WAY TOO much for this mod. Would just like to find some things, even just basic stuff, or just a 1/1000 chance at purple quality loot. Hope that helps!
  22. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I'm an old dude and this is my first (and only) PC game. I don't really know what Discord is, or even how to take or post screenshots. Maybe somebody with a modicum of PC skills can get SUB the info above... sorry... total PC noob here (counsel gamer until 7dtd).
  23. Empty crates Let me start... LOVE the UI and am enjoying the mod. Thanks for all the work, it is a great addition to the various mods out there. Also, big thanks for keeping it updated. I meant to ask about the clothes scrapping issue you recently fixed. I'm wondering if you meant to make certain loot crates empty. I am playing a new world with the Compo pack, just for the variety. I found the Retirement Village and went into the loading docks... the first floor had great loot, but all the boxes upstairs were empty (I think they are called "insecure" or something). I checked maybe 20 or so, all completely empty. Also found another custom POI with the same crates, also empty. I'm not upset, as when they are filled (like in War of the Walkers) it kinda breaks the game, as the amount of loot you get is silly. I know your mod is not supposed to be like WotW, and I appreciate that difference. But, it would be nice to get SOMETHING in those crates (even if just a tiny chance of something great, or just normal loot like cloth or food). Anyway, thanks for a great mod.
  24. Somewhat new player, willing to try Multiplayer in new patch Picked up the game about 2 weeks ago. Play 120 minute days, easy mode. Made tons of mistakes while learning, but I think I've figured things out (just about to test a new base build with tons of cement columns on a day 21 horde tonight). Will be shutting down that player, and starting fresh in the new patch. Would be interested in figuring out how to do the multiplayer thing. Not even sure how it works when you are not online (are we safe?). I play almost every day at 9pm (or so, after kids go to sleep) to midnight Florida time. Let me know if anybody is starting a new game and has room for a guy like me (noob but learning).
