  1. You are absolutely right. It's been about four weeks since I started developing the mod again. I'm cleaning up the code and I'm also working a bit on the movement and aiming system. I plan to release a first version soon, after which development will continue 😉
  2. Hey guys Development of the Mod continued until the beginning of November, at which time I took a break to refresh my mind working on other projects. I would like to resume development soon, as the main part of the Mod, i.e. the possibility to install Scope on all weapons, was almost complete. When this part is completed I will release the first version of the Mod. After that I plan to change other dynamics of the game as well, such as movement and recoil. I am sorry if I had to slow things down... Unfortunately, for me, this year started with a misfortune (I had a very significant bereavement) that brought me great distress and the need to take care of so many other matters. It is a pity, also because towards the end of 2022 I was going to release a whole new Mod that you would surely enjoy. Who knows if I will be able to get my hands on it someday.

  4. Currently, I was just about to finish upgrading the Hunting Rifle and Magnum. I was wondering, would you guys like it if I started writing a script in order to add new functionalities to the gun/fire/recoil mechanism, but at the cost of this mod not being EAC friendly anymore? For example, one thing I was testing was a function that allows my scopes to be used on all the other not covered Vanilla weapons.

I just finished converting my AK47 to the new version, and I also took the opportunity to improve the look of the Pistol. At the moment my Mod contains the Pistol and the AK47.   8. I managed to have some free time and recover the mental strength necessary to be able to resume the development of this mod a little. Many events happened during this time - both good and bad. I felt like writing a long post about everything that happened this year. About the update of this mod, the Pistol is now finished! I just finished putting the finishing touches on the textures. I think I can start posting a first version of my updated mod tomorrow with the Pistol I just made! Also, I really appreciate that you guys are interested in my mod! I'm glad you guys like it
  9. Hello there! I think my mod might work with alpha 21 as well. Anyway, I plan to keep developing it and update it for the new version of the game. At the moment the development of the mod is "paused" Many things happened during this period, for better and for worse. Don't worry, soon I will write a post where I explain the events that occurred in this period.
  10. NOT TODAY 🔥🔥 UPDATE: TIME FOR THE MAGNUM TO SHINE WITH THE NEW VERSION 1.6.12 Hey guys! It's been a while since the last update. I am sorry for not having released any news in this period . . . Many of you have thought that I have abandoned the development of the Mod, but I can tell you that this is not the case! Although in this period I have been very busy between study and work, in my free time I costantly dedicate myself to the development of my Mod. In recent months, instead of developing one weapon at a time, I've been focusing on scripting a library that makes Movement and Shooting Mechanisms much more interesting, taking inspiration from the main First Person Shooters (BF and COD mainly). I have also made customizable all the parameters used by my library (e.g. the intensity of the recoil). To do this, you only need to edit an XML file. Once developed, I will release a video in which I will present and further explain this new addition, including a guide on how to change these individual parameters. I also opened a donation section, for the Bois who like what I'm developing and want to personally help me in this adventure! (I recommend to read the section before doing anything) In these weeks I could upload a preview video of this addition. In the future I intend to contact and cooperate with the developers of the most famous mods, such as Undead Legancy and Darkness fall, in order to develop a Patch that will make my Mod 100% compatible with these (which already should be to a large extent) BUT, for the time being, I leave you an update where I have focused on the Magnum, making the iron sight not a disgrace and giving it my 2X Scope, along with other changes made. So in summary ... NO: I have not stopped developing my Mod but on the contrary I work on it every time I have some free time! And what I'm trying to do is make the Movement and Shooting Mechanisms much more interesting. Here is a summary for the Magnum (as far as I remember 😆 It's been a while and I don't remember all the things I've improved). Fortunately the original Magnum wasn't a complete mess like the previous ones. Iron sight is perfectly aligned. Animated the Extractor (the component that allows you to extract shells from the cylinder). Added a model for the Barrel Extender (which is literally the whole barrel elongated!). I just released a New Update 🔥🔥 In this Update I focused on the Scope Customization and Zoom feature, the Lever Action Rifle and a generic Texture Improvement. Here is a summary. This version includes three updates in one, that's why there isn't a version 1.4 ... we jump directly to 1.5 So... it's like the never seen Windows 9.... have you ever seen it? No? Well, here is the same thing. ➡️ UPDATE 1 : The Scope Update Here is a summary. Since I've got so many requests, I decided to remove the tint of the scope, so now it's completely CLEAR! But there's more! You can now Customize the TINT of the Scope, the RETICLE COLOR and also the RETICLE SHAPE, by editing the XML file "item_modifiers.xml". I'll post a Tutorial and a Video on how to customize your Scope. You can now Customize the 2x, the 4x and the 8x Scope Separately, regarding the Scope Tint and the Scope Reticle. There are now a total of 9 different RETICLE SHAPES. So there are 4 Properties of the Scope you can modify The SCOPE TINT It's based on two other Properties Scope BASE COLOR It's the base color of the Scope Glass. There is also a Clear-No Tint version. There are 10 Colors. Scope LIGHTING There is a light that illuminates the Scope Glass. There are 9 Colors. I've found out that Unity was compressing and reducing the quality of all my textures. This, together with some other texture setting tweaks made me improve this aspect. Added a Smoke cloud after each shot that lasts longer After each shot a cloud of smoke is created. Adjusted FOVs and ScopeCameraOffset This one still need other few improvements, but I've adjusted the zoom on the scope of all the weapons.   13. Hey Guys! I'm sorry for the delay. Not only I am in the middle of my studies, but unfortunately I also took covid 😐 so I spent a few days totally wiped out. But I have some news. In these days I have been working on the Magnum, which I have almost finished and it will be released in a few days.   15. Your're right! The SMG is the next weapon I'm working on. 🔥🔥 It is almost ready and will be released in a few days. It just needs a few more fine tweaks. ✔️ I will also prepare a quick video for this new update. I'm sorry but unfortunately I have to proceed more slowly during this period . . . . I am in the middle of my summer session and I have to study to prepare for the exams at the Uni (conducting a M. Sc ) Also, I started working in another project, something that I will eventually merge to this mod.... something that will make this mod a Non-EAC one ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (yes, a library project). Short answer: YES 🔥🔥🔥 I intend to intervene on all current guns, including the Magnum, SMG, Hunting Rifle and so on, to align the front sight and make the scope usable directly from the model on the gun. Unfortunately, in these years I have never seen a real improvement on weapon mechanics. Sure, pipe weapons have been added and other gun's models have been improved, but many other features have been left unchanged. The sights of many firearms are misaligned or even missing. There is still too much use of crosshair directly on the screen, even when aiming. The "reticle on a black screen" method, which i've never liked, is still used when aiming with scopes. The recoil of the weapons is still pretty basic. When aiming the gun is completely still, as if the person holding the gun is not breathing or something. I am currently focusing on the AK47. It's quite a long job as I had to redo the textures and redesign the upper part of the gun, but I'm moving on. I also plan to create models for those mods that are not visible on the weapon, such as the magazine extender or the bipod. ➡️ So stay tuned for future updates! ✔️
  20. Welcome to my mod project! This mod was born with the purpose of fixing the iron sights of all weapons! How? My goal is to adjust the height of the front sights, align them correctly with the rear sight, and add the latter to all weapons that are missing one. Over time I have gradually improved other aspects and added new components where I could. Here I completely overhauled the concept of aiming with the scope, using the real scope on the weapon rather than a small reticle drawn on a black background. This game has caught my attention since the very earliest alphas (I'm one of the players who played Alpha 1 back in 2013) and I fell in love with this game from the early days. But there are some things, like weapon mechanics, that have always left me wanting. That's why, starting a few months ago, I finally learned how to edit and create a mod for this game. This is the first in a series of Mods that will cover the majority of current weapons. You can find the A20 Version of my Mod inside the "OLD VERSIONS [A20]" folder. I'm currently updating the Mod to the new version for Alpha 21. CameraOffset Z, which is basically the zoom on the weapon when aiming, is correctly set. ➡️ SCOPE OVERHAUL Completely overhauled the Scope concept, removing the old zoom method accompanied by a reticle in a completely black background. You can now use the Scope directly from the Scope Model (In a COD-BF style). Added an external slide that reflects the external environment in a dynamic way. The inner slide contains a Customizable Reticle in terms of Shape and Color, all set in a dusty Customizable\Clear Tint. Improved Textures, so that you can zoom in on the Scope model without losing texture quality. Improved Mesh, so that you can zoom in on a well rounded Scope model. The Zoom is correct: by aiming the objects will be magnified exactly twice for the 2X, four times for the 4X and eight times for the 8X Scope. Added Scratches on the right side of the Scope to help distinguish the 2X and 4X scopes. Added a Blur Background for the 4X and 8X Scope. Added a new Zoom-when-crouch feature, so when you crouch the Scope zooms, reaching the full 2x, 4x or 8x. ➡️ SCOPE CUSTOMIZATION You can now Customize the TINT of the Scope, the RETICLE COLOR and also the RETICLE SHAPE, by editing the XML file "item_modifiers.xml". There are 3 Groups (for the 2x, 4x and 8x Scope) of 6 Lines of Code each. You can setup them differently, separately. ▶️ Here is how to change the TINT of the Scope. Search for the word "scopeLight_NOTINT" and "scopeDirt_NOTINT". "NOTINT" means a CLEAR scope, without any tint on it. You can replace the word "NOTINT" with any one from the List below (be sure to read the notes next to the colors!). You can also put different colors in "scopeLight_XXX" and "scopeDirt_YYY" if you want to achieve an interesting effect. For a slight tint I suggest to put "scopeLight_NOTINT" and "scopeDirt_[SCOPE COLOR]". For a more intense tint I suggest to put both "scopeLight_[SCOPE COLOR]" and "scopeDirt_[SCOPE COLOR]" ▶️ Here is how to change the the RETICLE SHAPE and the RETICLE COLOR. Search here for the word "Reticle_". The structure of this word is: "Reticle_[ID of the RETICLE SHAPE]_[RETICLE COLOR]" ▶️ For the RETICLE SHAPE The number on "Reticle_[NUMBER]_[RETICLE COLOR]" means the ID of the RETICLE SHAPE. New weapon components have been animated, such as the Pistol Hammer or the Ak 47 Charging Handle. ➡️ NEW MOD MODELS Added new models for mods currently not visible on the weapon, such as the Magazine Extender, Muzzle Brake, Fore Grip etc...   21. Totally agree with you. The misalignment of the sight of the pistol, .44 magnum and other guns is so game breaking. I just can't take them seriously. Also, the size of the front sight.... for some guns like SMG and hunting rifle... it seems like they had a slippery mouse pad and extruded too much the sight of these during the modelling process. In the end, if I may add anything else ... I'm not a big fan of the hunting rifle and lever action rifle reload animation. I don't know how to explain it, but I'd like to see a more "aggressive" animation of hunting rifle, putting more "weight" in the process of opening the chamber and inserting the bullet inside. For the lever action rifle, I'd like to see the bullet inserted into the chamber... the current animations of these two are quite simple and "anonymous"
