  1. @khzmusik yes, I was talking about those 2 mods. Thanks so much I will have a look into those files and see if works. I'm not going to pretend like I know what I'm talking about lol. But I do know like the small little basics. Like I have added simple recipes. I'm sure if I was to watch a video and do it a few times I could make them a little more advanced. Like one example would be instead of just adding the recipe to use (x resources) and make it (x work station) but add to it and put it in a magazine or in specific skill tree or even possibly do several creative menu items in one like the blocks when you hold E to change shape but hold E to have several items to craft instead of shapes or even add a description in the info box.... Just a few examples of what I mean for myself a little more advance then just craft this simple recipe lol. Now for me the more complex stuff would be for an example ( something I would really like to figure out by the way one day that is lol) is to add a recipe say a bird nest. Put it into the farming skills. Make so bird nest have different stages like crops. Start off with basic bird nest. Next stage it has a different texture and then last stage it has like an egg and feathers inside to show when it is ready. Push E to harvest to get eggs and feathers. Now I know this would be more complex as you need images then gotta link the images. Then add this text in this file and that text in that file to link them all and such. Now the mods you do or the overhaul mods are more like development levels and way to advance for something I can learn over watching just a few videos lol. Maybe even the adding images like the bird nest example above falls in this category as well and might be out of reach for someone like me lol. Anyway, back on topic lol. So yeah, I can change some stuff and know on a server some stuff I would need to make sure everyone has the same files as I do to match the changes including the server itself. Just some stuff need to by guided to show where and what to change lol. Again, love the mods and think you did great on them. Just wanted to add that extra flavor for a multi-player game so other players fill rewarded after killing someone. As well as to add to not have that marker so it still kinda keeps to the same concept as you have as in you pretty much still lose your backpack. Might even lower the timer on the despawn so if a zombie kills you it will be gone by the time you would run back to it to keep that from happening. But also just enough time for a player to loot it if they killed you. No rush, it the holidays spend time with that family. Happy New Year. It really nice you thinking of taking the time to add that yourself. So thank you for the mods and the support. Have a good remaining Holiday. Edit- don't say yet where to find the backpack timmer. I wanna see if I can figure it out lol. If I can't I'll know where to ask for help lol.
  2. Who says they don't have them? Just because they choose not to share them with anyone outside the team doesn't mean they don't. They used to say about when they thought it might be ready but they wouldn't hit that date because of game breaking bugs they had to fix. Or something not working the way they wanted and they refuse to give a half ass version of it. The list can go on for the reasons but the fact remains when they would say those things and missed it people got pitch forks out like you wouldn't believe. Not saying you or I or anyone specific. Just that people take it literally and they have no wiggle room. So they felt for their own sanity or whatever to start not saying anything besides when it’s done.
  3. Nobody is denying that more information wouldn't be nice. I'm sure most of us here would love those things. What we are saying is agree or disagree with the way they do things it is up to them not us how they do and handle those things. Regardless how one feels about it, it obviously is working for them. Nothing when we bought the game did it say they must or have to do this or that.
  4. They not going to give a brief insight when they think it will be done. They did that once and it back fired. So now you only get when it's done. Regardless how one feels about that statement it doesn't matter. That how they go about it, the way they want to go about it, the way the feel is the best because they can and don't have to any other way. Guess what it has worked for them. Only a small portion of the people that own the game visits this forum or even the steam forums. The way the go about it is up to them not us. They don't have to do anything. They don't have to post news about what is coming for every new alpha but at least we get that much. So again it doesn't matter how we think what they should and shouldn't do. They keep getting sales so whatever they are doing is working that is making them happy to keep doing what they do.
  5. So 2 questions if possible. I wanna drop backpacks. I feel in my multi-player game if another player kills me they should be able to loot me. So how can I fix it to drop the back pack. I got both dead and perma on. Would I need to change both mod files or just one? And what file and what would i need to change?....... the other question is would it be possible to turn off the backpack icon so you don't see it pop up on the map..... I'm not sure if either is possible but thought I would ask. If not it is what it is. I do like your mods though GG.
  6. @faatal do you know if in game voip got worked on? I wanna say only group voip works (kinda) but if you not in a group it doesn't work. I know MM I think he was the one that replied to me in A20 saying he could see not having voip sooner or later..... I hope that still isn't true for several reasons. Like public servers you don't have a discord to talk to someone in voice and using text chat while fighting isn't ideal lol. Also I know it isn't like for everyone and it is a small portion of players out of all but some like to RP and using discord doesn't work out well trying to role play with several talking as once. Or not wanting someone else to here you about to double cross them and such. And switching in and out of channels is as pain as using text chat while in combat and such.
  7. They added vehicle mods in A20. So you can have 2 people on the gas power bikes and 4 people in the 4x4. Expanded Seat allows 1 passenger on Minibike and Motorcycle and 2 extra passengers for 4x4 Well faatal answered as I was typing lol.
  8. Who said you can't kill things with an ax? Maybe it will have it's own perks of some kind... depending on how much is changing with the magazines part. If they happen to still keep what they have. When you read all of them the fire ax can be pretty good. Either way I'm sure some kind of perk will come with the ax.
  9. I would love food spoilage but my only issue is I'm the opposite. As in hardly any meat. I play on 2 servers. First server is normally 6 to 10 of us and food doesn't last that long until late game as it is. 2nd server is a discord server with 8 to 16 people on server at once with ay least 50 people total that play on it. Animals hardly spawn when we have 10 people on at once. So unless the animal spawn rate can get addressed when X amount of people are on at once then I'll have to decline food spoilage as it would kill a server no having any meat what so ever because what little meat you did get spoiled because you wasn't online and then when you do get online animals are not spawning to resupply.
  10. That depends on your game settings. No loot respawn, low loot abundance. But with that said it does say glue making is in consideration so I'm sure it will be fine. ...... But to add... you will still be able to find murky water in loot. You just don't get an empty jar back from it anymore. Dew collector is the same will collect the water and it will show clean jar of water but when used it is gone with no empty jar back. ....... I see both sides. It is what it is but it is water. Ark, atlas, conan, dayz, scum, project zomboid and so on. All these plus a few more liquids isn't an issue really but are part of survival. I don't know it isn't that big of deal it is water and you loose immersion doing it this way for what 4 to 10 game days then your fine again? Yes we know game play out beats immersion. But as said by 4th day you have a dew collector so what by day 10 you probably will have several. So it doesn't seem to add that much more value to loose the immersion over. On the flip side. Is it that big of deal no. As said it is what it is. Do they get a little praise for not being like other survivor games and doing something different with water. Sure tilt my hat. So I can deal with either not mad but not happy just meh about it.
  11. Idk if this was talked about more through all these pages. If so and already done then disregard. Where it says glue crafting taken in consideration. What if instead of jar of water that we still be able to use a bucket to collect water. The bucket can be used for glue. So idk 1 bucket of water would be like having 10 jars of water. Or do we not have the bucket anymore either? Honestly not used that in forever so not sure if it is even still in game. Idk anyway was just a thought.
  12. All I'll say is each their own. To many things in this world to worry about then if an update to a game comes before a certain date. Especially with a development team that always works as hard and best they can to get the work done as soon and as good as they currently can. So just my opinion that it will suck if it isn't out by the holiday not I'm worried that it won't be. *shrug*
  13. Worried about what? That you will not get to play A21 during the Holiday? That isn't nothing to worry about that just sucks. It isn't like they are abandoning the game. It good they making sure it is in its best playable and visually looking state with as fewer bugs when they release. So that isn't nothing to worry about as that is a good thing. So must be about the holiday so again that just sucks but it is what it is.

  15. But on the flip side if they don't make said date and delay it or even release it unplayable then you back to negative again. So what poison do you want? What poison is better? I can't speak for everyone but I would take the "when it's done" poison vs delay/unplayable poison. Besides if they have no deadlines to investors and only fan base then nothing wrong with when it's done approach. I'm sure they are happy they only have to deal with a small % of people that don't like that answer vs the oh we have to delay % of people response. Just means they get things as close as possible more less problems. Besides it has seemed to work well for them for years now with that way of thinking so why change it when they don't have to just to please a very small % of people. Just my opinion of course.
  16. At this point I would just be happy with a standard zombie made just for this. I'm sure making it look like the player as well as having specific effects would push the game back more then they would wish. (Maybe after gold could work on it more) For now just a new zombie that is more fresh looking with a backpack or somethin. When it dies it drops a loot bag like like the random drops bags just with your items in the bag instead of random items. If someone kills it before you get back to it then they get your stuff. It could be tied to backpack so it doesn't despawn if nobody is around or whatever but moves around. Don't even have it marked on map gotta search around where you died in hope it still there. Of course it be cool to have the effects and more done with it but as a starter it could work. That just my opinion though.

  20. Cool, agree take the time you need. We appreciate what you do to keep the mods going and up to date. If I come across anything else I'll let ya know. ..... On a side note I can't remember who's mod it was a few years ago. Maybe a mix of a few but would like to find more plants/trees mod. Maybe when it goes gold we will see more mods come about. I'm sure it is a pain to keep updating them every alpha lol.
  21. Yeah, I looked at the loot files and the numbers don't seem that high especially the food one. It is like it is taking the modded files and running the calculation in it without the loot files of the game or something. I have no clue I hardly know what I'm talking about lol.
  22. All good. If you can you can if you cant you cant. Thanks for at least checking. Also wanted to add that I'm having same issue with loot spawns as well. The trap books seem to be 2 in just about every other pile. Sewing kits seem to be high as well. Then chips, chocolate and noodles along with a random item seem to come in 99% of cabinets. Like day one and I have 10 of both chips, 10 chocolates, 10 noodles. 10 tap books. I have only looted a few cars and one poi. So definitely high. Not sure what would of changed from A19 to A20 to cause the mod to do that but just wanted to bring it to awareness. Once again thanks
  23. Something is going on with the reusable cooking bowl. I tried without the mod and everything seems to be ok. I tried taking all mods out just incase another mod wasn't matching well with it and only ran the game with this mod. Even with running the game with only this mod seems to break things. So with this mod the camp fire seems to be missing the placeholders for the grill, pot and beaker so can't cook things without them. .... Also a request if possible, I like your working oven and sink mod. I know it isn't your responsibility to do this and if you don't want to I understand just thought I would ask. I'm using khaines 60 slot backpack mod. When using it and I open the working oven it doesn't show my backpack. Would it be possible to adjust something for it to show? If not like I said I understand. If so greatly appreciated. Also thanks for what you have done as well.
