Tips on best places to find mechanical parts other than Working stiff crates and skater punks?

Just noticed while mining for some iron... 150QL stone pick. I get the same amount of ore whether digging through rock or iron ore [every 5th or 6th swing]. But when in stone, I get stone and carbon as well on the in between swings. Is this correct?

My only issue so far is the abundance of spectacular structures and objects in every in tin pot town. In the few maps I've looked at, every town had a cathedral, a castle outside the town limits, and a nuclear power station nearby. Could do with them either made rarer, or restricted to bigger towns.

I found it remade the game. Vanilla was too easy. Short of a silly accident, or odd circumstances, you needn't ever die... lack for food, or anything else. Ravenherst was actually a challenge again.

Any clues on where I should be looking for an ink pen?

*hits self in the head* I completely forget about land claim blocks. I just wanted to move base and didn't want to waste a bunch of twine building new cooking/drying stations. Now I know.

Any way to disassemble things like Advanced stations? Leather drying rack, etc? Rack just turned into sticks. Advanced cooking fire disassembled into a campfire.

seeing a few glitches since last update. Mostly texture stuff in holes and underground.

Is there some kind of wiki? List of recipes/ingredients/workstations etc?

Just had some green chick vomit in my general direction... miss, but start a chain reaction in the car park. Crack A Book skyscraper is a bit battered now. I was left with 1 HP. Having fun though.

I like the quests, classes, new skills system etc. Not so keen on the new zombies [some look just... not good. Some animations are wonky], nor on the density of them. I just can't make any headway. Even the domestic animals are damn dangerous and soak up arrows. Also finding the flattened map a bit boring. Not seeing any landscape features at all any more. and lets not mention twine... I'll literally die of filth before I find enough to make a towel... let alone anything else.
