  1. Absolutely this. I wish there was a bit of code to stop getting quests at the same POI again & again (I tend to concentrate on Tier 3 quests on set maps such as Pregen3). Further, I wish the quest descriptions showed the name of the POI in the trader quest list . For example, instead of : [TIER II] Fetch/Clear (861.1 m W) [TIER IV] Clear Zombies (4.6 km SE) there would be : [TIER II] Fetch/Clear at Old Spanish House (861.1 m W) [TIER IV] Clear Zombies at Burnt Business 1 (4.6 km SE)
  2. As I've just finished another play-though of Dying Light and have started Alpha 19, i thought it would be fun to compare the zombie games I've been playing recently. A couple of points : My perfect zombie game would have the dynamic-world & base-building of 7dtd + the movement of DyingLight + the zombie hordes & complexity of Project Zomboid I could have added columns for 'Left 4 Dead' and 'Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead' , although L4D does not have any persistent character progression It was interesting that DyingLight capped the number of repairs on weapons I guess there should be a row for 'Multiplayer' Regardless, it's fun to see in what ways the games are alike or different
  3. a game mode where the map changes every 7 days but you keep your gear & workbenches in your truck would be awesome
  4. Does anyone have any thoughts on the discussion about the Gamesparks DLL use of the open source library WebSocket4Net/SuperSocket , specifically the potential of remote execution, file transfer, and user detail collection ? There is a discussion in the 7dtd steam discussion board in progress (extract below). I'm looking forward to A19, but this is a worry . [props to Solorvox / sub0pengu] " Just a quick look at DLLs it appears Gamesparks is using an open source library WebSocket4Net/SuperSocket• Websockets is using port 443 and what appears to be HTTP proxies, likely IP I posted above• Sockets appear to using: live-xxx.ws.gamesparks.net and wss:/preview-xxx.ws.gamesparks.net/ I recommend DNS blackhole of gamesparks.com and gamesparks.net domains• GameSparks.Platforms.PlatformBase list of data they appear to be collecting:DeviceOS, DeviceName, DeviceType, UserID and GSData of "DeviceStats"◦ uniqueID is set to base.gameObject.GetComponent<PlatformBase>().DeviceId hash of hardware device information◦ DeviceStats: IsDedicated, game version/build, platoform, OperatingSystemFamily, OperatingSystemFull,ProcessorType,ProcessorCount,ProcessorClockMHz,SystemMemoryMB,Country,Language,EacActive,GraphicsDeviceVendor,GraphicsDeviceName,GraphicsMemoryMB,GraphicsVersion,GraphicsShaderLevel,ScreenResolution (height,width/etc),FullscreenMode• Has a possible remote execution via WebSocket4Net.Command.Binary.ExecuteCommand()• File upload and download ability via GameSparks.Core.FileUploader/Downloader• GameSparksManager sends PlayerDetails object, contains display_name, userEmail and userID
  5. What POI work remains before gold Any chance of adding some limited procedural generation to the POIs to reduce familiarity What makes a tier 3 POI different to a tier 4 POI / tier 5 POI What's your favourite POI and why . Least favourite POI and why
  6. POI Question : What are your thoughts on POIs in A19 ? Such as : What POI work remains before gold Any POI aspect that you think still needs work What makes a tier 3 POI different to a tier 4 POI / tier 5 POI What's your favourite POI and why . Least favourite POI Love the game. Keep doing what you're doing.
  7. Looks like a flux capacitor -> gets my vote And you probably could combine 2 of the AND/OR gates to get a NOT. An awesome idea regardless
  8. personally, those pan-cake things from Star-Trek TOS which stuck to the ceilings and jumped at you always freaked me out
  9. agree with this - the new spikes seem fragile
  10. I sort of had this already with Alpha 16. I used a 2 story house as my base, just west of the Diersville hardware store in Navesgane. It was by a river bank. They dug tunnels under the house
  11. The 7D2DModLauncher has stopped working for me too ('System Update Required: Unable to run or install this application. This application requires version 4.6.1 Full or other compatible .NET Framework'). It was working last night (Sat 24th Feb / War of The Walkers), but not this morning. I've tried installing the EasyFix but no success (still getting the 'system update required' error). I'm running Windows 7 (Avast Disabled / Installed msi through elevated command prompt / reboot)
  12. would be awesome (so can attach them to a ceiling)
  13. Hi I don't know if you've resolved this but i started getting the same problem with War of the Walkers last night (NullReferenceException on EntityNPC.OnUpdateLive). " 2018-02-08T19:29:42 2000.422 INF Time: 5.95m FPS: 59.94 Heap: 1774.9MB Max: 1813.2MB Chunks: 641 CGO: 555 Ply: 1 Zom: 2 Ent: 5 (15) Items: 0 CO: 1 RSS: 4412.7MB NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at EntityNPC.OnUpdateLive () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at EntityAlive.OnUpdateEntity () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 " I was on day 16 of a War-of-the-Walkers single-player playthrough, standing in Trader Rekts, when the NRE's started spamming the screen. Only by moving far away (slowly) did the console errors stop, but on returning to Rekt, the errors started up again. I think I've solved it. Open the console and do 'le' (list entities). I saw two NPCs (kevin & larry) in the area as well as Rekt. So i killed Larry with 'kill'. After a short period, Larry disappeared from the list of entities, and the null-reference-exceptions stopped. Maybe this will work for you too. In terms of versions, I'm running 7Dtd Alpha 16.3 (b8). WOW v5.17.b64 ModSMX A16.3b 12R2 I'd been playing on a Ravenheart multi-player server recently. Maybe the two mod's don't get on ...
