  1. I'm going to save you a ton of trouble, uninstall G-Hub and get this instead: Same functionality but it's better, way more lightweight and functions properly. Idk why, but it seems Logitech decided to get drunk and make G-Hub and act like it doesn't exist, but the Gaming Software works wonderfully.
  2. Sand in the forge makes glass also.
  3. Hmm, technically your GPU doesn't meet the minimal requirements being just under 2GB of vram, but it shouldn't cause this issue I wouldn't think. You've got some strange UI errors that I'm not sure what they point to without additional debug line numbers, maybe try removing the entire 7days folder in appdata out of where it is (put it somewhere else like your desktop, it's at %appdata%/7daystodie) and see if that helps. Also verify your game files a few times.
  4. Weird, can you post a log file to pastebin and share it?
  5. Only if Trader Rekt is the one to answer the radio calls.
  6. Ah yeah that resolution is a bit much especially with such a demanding cpu game this one is, and that cpu being in a laptop will certainly struggle. Try running it at a natural 1440p resolution and that should drastically reduce the load (2560x1440). You can also set the dynamic resolution to scale, try about 80%.
  7. That is... absolutely weird. This is also going to sound weird, but could you try playing with Dynamic Music turns Off in the Audio options?
  8. I shall have a look and recruit the dev that goes over Linux if I can't reproduce it with an xbox controller. Thanks for the information.
  9. Thanks for that. Yup. Rare... I tried reproducing that exactly for like 10 hours or so and gave up for the moment to work on another bug and was just standing there in front of a forge and fell through the ground. Absolutely related, good thinking on that. It's the chunk suddenly not "active" in the world for the split second.
  10. Heh I have the same mouse as you do, Tomw, never seen this. Maybe try using the Use Native Input Module in the launcher?
  11. Yeah so the vehicle getting stuck in ground and the invisible wall are different but the same issue if that makes sense. The invisible wall is when you're going faster than the game can "generate" chunks or regions for you, so instead of you just falling through the ground and causing errors it kicks you backward for a moment so the game has a chance to load. The falling through the ground LIKELY is the game suddenly not able to keep that chunk loaded for a split second, so you fall through it and the game realizes this and fixes itself, and notices the vehicle is below the ground and kicks it back up. Sadly, for the case of the Mrs, her bike was gone. Stupidly hard to reproduce lol. Which... is a good thing I guess, least it's not constantly happening. I'll have to bring this up to Faatal and see what he thinks.
  12. This is the bug pool for A21, you're on A20. Without other information and going off of the error, this is a modification issue related to something that might add a custom item, it's not liking a value, perhaps a trader or vending machine? I just saw you weren't the original poster, please make your own post, this adds confusion. But, the comment I made stands anyway and doesn't change. Take a look there.
  13. Hi, that high of a ping is caused by one or more of the following: Wifi connection by either or both the host/client Firewall/antivirus running without exclusions to the game folder and save folder Network gremlins (this include a bad line, dying modem/router or they need rebooting, bad route to the ISP/host/anywhere in between) Improper port forwarding by the host Using Steam networking rather than Litenetlib (which would be the result of the 2nd or 4th of the list) You can -- as a client -- try running the Network Workaround in the General tab in the Options Feel free to comment here if you need more help, but this isn't a game bug.
  14. Going to put this in confirmed, it's rare but one person has seen this internally, and the Mrs had it happen to her while playing, and you've seen it. Not sure what's causing it, but thanks for reporting it, it's really helpful to have more data and know that more people are affected. Thanks. If anyone else sees this, please say so here and post your output log.
  15. I'm going to put this in confirmed, because I spotted it a few days ago playing with some people. A reproduction is going to be a needle in a haystack, but I am glad you reported this because it lets us know that this isn't an isolated case. If anyone has any other information, or if you see this too and simply wish to comment "this happened to me too here's my log (and do post a log)" please do comment on this ticket. A video would be wonderful too, if you happened to have something like Nvidia's replay or something running.
  16. For anyone else with this issue, if you've the custom command switch on remove it, or delete your Prefabs folder and verify your game file twice. That should wrap this up.
  17. Yeah that is true what Sylen said, performance degradation is exponential the further you go below 40% on an NVME drive, 50% for a HDD. For exclusions, don't forget that Public and Private network are different, make sure you match the one Windows has your network set to, you can see this by going to the network tab and view your connect (usually it's default set to Public, I would change it to Private), to add a folder:
  18. Hmm, your log file might have some information, but you may need the server's log too. They may have a bad movement value.
  19. Hmm, something to look at before thinking of a solution would be to ensure you've got firewall/antivirus exceptions for the main game folder and the 7daystodie folder in appdata (saves, just add the whole folder). It appears to be load times/unloading unused assets which rely on your storage device and CPU, you've got a laptop CPU but it's a good one, and if it was overheating and throttling then you likely would experience an overall FPS drop and not just on those functions. Try that, or if you want to do it faster just disable those and try it for a quick test. Your NVME drive COULD be getting really hot in that laptop and throttling itself down, you can use something like HWINFO64 to see that (look for the drive temperatures, ideally an NVME should be between 40-60c. You've a pretty similar system to mine and the Mrs which I use hers to test sometimes and she plays on it a lot, and your unload unused assets are like 1000% higher than those two systems.
  20. Glad it's working! I'm sorry about that, that's a kinda above rare but not common issue that's just baffling why/how it's going on, but hopefully we can get a fix for that. Have fun and thanks for reporting back that it works now!
  21. What in the world. Can you try deleting the entire registry entry for 7 Days to Die? Like, delete the folder. Then try checking all the things in the launcher tool in the clean game data section (you can use the tool to open the registry, sound like you know how to do that anyway)
  22. So.. the game only stores data in the main game folder, in %appdata%/7daystodie and the registry... something may have been missed. Can you post a log file to pastebin or something similar?
  23. On paper it seems to be doing better but you are still having hits. I'm curious, what kind of storage device is your operating system and game on? Nvme ssd/regular ssd/hard drive?
  24. Open the game launcher Go to Tools Click Open Game Settings Delete that registry folder that it opens up (look on the bottom left for 7 Days to Die) You should be good now
