  1. I had this problem earlier this month when I finally moved to Windows 10. Like you, I did try the free Java packages and it didn't work. Upon research, I found out that a version of JRE 1.8 isn't available per-se for the public, but only if you register for an Oracle account. To get around this, I remembered Ninite and how they have an alternate Java installation package called Java AdoptOpenJDK. Now, Ninite is a website that helps provides bundled software for "first time Windows OS installations", or if you're gathering and updating all at once. If you're willing to try it as I did, try downloading the AdoptOpenJDK runtimes in their RUNTIMES section at their website. (they have two installers, the Java and the JDK - the one I installed was named "Ninite Java AdoptOpenJDK 8 Installer" after checkmarking all 3 of the Runtimes) After installing, see if Nitrogen finally loads for you as it did for me.
  2. Steel Hammer doesn't apply Portland Concrete on Rebar Frames either. It DOES with the Nailgun. If this was intentional, then I'll keep an eye out on that. I got back into this mod this weekend it really felt like the old vanilla A16. This mod was definitely worth the wait, there's so much filler to keep yourself busy. Biggest thing I have to worry about is class papers - bookstores give more schematics so there's no centralized place for class papers. Traders sometimes help. (LVL 243 and no Builders Class paper for 3 weeks, I had to cheat to get all the good upgrades, but the struggle was hilarious)
  3. I remember you used to see survivors a lot in the desert.
  4. Ohh I miss this one so much. I too would find nice baskets and forget to empty its inventory before switching. The sounds I heard back then was something a lot of thud-thud-thud-thuds or that Dropped Item sound. I used to be a hoarder and ended up with a higher level basket as well, when I shift-clicked it did exactly what you described -- empty everythangggg. I saw somewhere in the forums a small request to show a confirmation on basket changes but here's hoping.
  5. Complete the Protection quest series first, then those recipes will allow you to create a Vending Machine. If you have extra Class paper pieces, you can create another class component, but I don't know what THAT item does.
  6. Yeah, I thought I had a little too much Kool-Aid after I couldn't replicate the issue. I've learned that if you keep the game running long enough, it has a tendency to dupe items. I did exit and restart my session, which made the dupe thing go away -- that's why I thought it was in my head and I just put the same amount of items inside. I've only gotten it to dupe on Raw Meat on Campfires, and Sand / Stone on the Cement Mixer. The forge seems to be okay. Problem was, I think I saw this working also in Starvation as well, which led me to believe it was a 7 Days bug. I don't have the latest Starvation (I saw this on Starvation before the Santa-in-Snow-Biomes Rescue patch) to test it out but it could be interesting to check. Otherwise, I am seriously loving this mod; I'm on a seed where I haven't found the Retirement Village (early on), but it's still exciting to hole yourself up in the middle of town making a death arena
  7. I did a little more investigation and what I found was: If you have 2 of the same "building container", eg Cement Mixer or Campfire, and you use the Output spaces to store items, you can get your materials duplicated.
  8. Small glitch, but i'm satisfied with this so far: Any campfire that has an item inside on slot #7,8,9 (the last three) actually retains that item for every player-made campfire. So far, i've only stored raw meat on slots 7, 8, and 9, but I've noticed that my campfire that I made two towns over, still had the same stored raw meat. SURE SAVED ME A LOT OF TIME though. I think the same thing applies with non-player made AND player-made workbenches too -- put an item inside on the new slots, and it may retain it for you throughout all workbenches. I can't confirm but I stored a Paint Brush and 800 Wood inside, and found myself looking at it on Dwalls' Class Made Trader NPC inside. The BGG Shop was a real nice touch, the beginning interior could use a little more but the rest was so inviting. Also, the Master Class papers are super tough to find, forcing you to scavenge for most of your day. It leaves you less time to build your base (I had everything I needed by end of Day 2), so i'm wondering if they are in the Class Vending Machines. I don't mind paying 30k Dukes for a class paper if it means i don't have to wait until Day 16 to finally find a working set of 3 class papers.
