  1. Looks like a new vulture, chicken, and doe model hiding in the background. You can see part of the new dire wolf as well.
  2. I'd rather not have three thousand needless processes going on in the background of the game, to be honest. Whatever optimizations that undercut the experience you all notice hasn't stuck out to me, but perhaps I'm missing something. The only features that have been stripped out in favor of optimization I can think of is zombies no longer being able to trample farmland (when it existed), the removal of concrete drying (this was a mistake), and the smell feature (another mistake). Aside from that, optimization features like having the insides of buildings occluded when far away theoretically would be a massive performance boost in places like the skyscrapers.
  3. Not to sidetrack too hard, but it's worth noting that the zombie poodle is from a terrible port of Dead Rising to the Wii, it's not even canonical.
  4. Do you ever quit complaining about small details that are completely overblown in your head? It seems like every post you make is about nonsensical criticisms (especially with your odd complaint about having sandals on the plant fiber clothing set). This isn't your personal blog on what you think would be nice in the game, leave that for the Pimp Dreams board at least.
  5. This brings me back. Plains was my favorite biome to build and live in. I forgot about the water biome, that really brought a lot of life and ambiance to the lakes and rivers they encompassed. I hope it makes a return, it really was nice.
  6. This invalidates any supposed criticism you had against the development of 7DTD if you honestly think that. No one in their right mind wants bandit AI that's the equivalent of the zombie soldiers in the original Doom, especially in 2024.
  7. I feel like we've had this same exact discussion before months ago with you comparing 7DTD to other games, or trying to force your understanding of what the game is on others. Bummer, it fit perfectly within the Arizona landscape, wish it made a comeback.
  8. For lore purposes, Bob's formula for feeding and mutating Grace could have had some form of testosterone in it, especially in the case of a growth hormone.
  9. Since no one shared it here yet, the pig is returning with a new model. Additionally from what the tweet implies, we'll be seeing new animal models and perhaps new animals all together.
  10. Will probably never happen outside of a mod due to technical limitations. There's been light discussion about chicken rearing, but not much else unfortunately.
  11. I mean, it's a pretty valid subject to be concerned about. This has been one of the main Kickstarter selling points since the game's inception, and has been in development since at least A15, making it about seven years since we've been waiting for their inclusion.
  12. Nice, they must have put this up after TwitchCon.
  13. Good to know. It seems a lot of people have the notion that TFP's attention is divided between 7DTD and the new Blood Moons project, but with this clarification it sounds like they're only overseeing it. As such I'd assume this will take significantly less effort than it would to directly develop it, and work on finishing the main game.
  14. Just to be clear @Roland, is Blood Moons the sequel game being developed in the Unreal Engine that's been teased for the past several years?
  15. I think the Rotten Caverns are the closest we've gotten as of recent. Some more that are based off of Arizona's cave systems would be quite cool too.
  16. This is never going to happen, sorry. The developers have hired an art team with their viewpoint guided by the rest of TFP. Your insistence on a past art style is no different than the parts of the community that want Learn By Doing integrated into the RPG system again. I still see no major issues with the current art style, but I can understand some of the criticism levied against the armor designs. All in all, it's fruitless to complain about it, and even more so to proclaim that your opinion is objective truth.
  17. Dude, what? 7DTD was NEVER like COD. The gunplay was pretty bare in the beginning, and has evolved a little since then. I don't doubt that art style in games can degrade, but you're bringing up non sequiturs left and right by talking about COD and other zombie games, not a substantial reason as to how 7DTD has changed. Plus, we're talking about an unfinished early access game that has little to no story yet, it's natural that things will change.
  18. You may be speaking directly about the art style, but gameplay is also a part of it. You believe every aspect of the game must be unique, whereas I am stating that the game has plenty of unique features to it. The current art style looks fine, and you ought to withhold judgement until after A22 is released in regards to the armor. Additionally, you also keep comparing 7DTD to other games, which often bear little relevance to the discussion at hand. A WW2 game set in a historical period is not the same as a game set in the distant future. If you want to critique the art style, it'd be a lot easier for others to follow if you use more grounded comparisons.
  19. That's great. It's still your opinion, and not fact. I'll let the developers make the creative decisions and judge from there. It may be good. It may be bad. Not every game needs to be completely unique in every manner. I mean, we're talking about a zombie survival game, something that's been done to death. 7DTD brings something new to the table by incorporating elements of tower defense, voxel sandbox, and RPG elements. As far as unique flair goes, the game has quite a lot of it already.
  20. Your opinion is not objective reality, as is the same with your opinion on what 7DTD's genre is and what it parodies. Personally I'm not expecting something perfectly unique when it comes to the armor designs, all that really matters is that the characters won't look like they're from a PS2 game anymore.
  21. With the images of the new character models TFP has provided us with, it blows Starfield's characters out of the water.
  22. They did show concept art for the minibike during the A21 art stream, which used a toilet as the seat. Not sure if they're sticking with that however.
  23. 7 days has long needed a wilderness overhaul, HDHQ filled that niche for a long time, but this is quite the contender. Great work, can't wait to see how this project evolves.
  24. You may very well get your wish as the new 4x4 truck takes the base body frame from the pickup truck in the game, although we have not seen what the new motorcycle looks like just yet.
  25. They don't fit in well with the rest of the world, outside of the few strip clubs in the game. That asset space would be best used on something like a firefighter or a regular cop.
