  1. Blood Moon might create a lot of things that they'll bring over to 7d2d. It probably isn't as stupid as people are thinking if it actually helps one another out. I don't think it's Blood Moon is going to get far unfortunately. No one would put up with the @%$#ty gunplay if it doesn't lean on it's strengths.
  2. It's unique but I'd want it to look less cartoonish. Remove bowtie maybe regular tie if anything. Not everything has to look cool but it shouldn't be to silly.
  3. I'm a very critical person and even though I like the overall game I will seek out what needs work. (with all games) I know your just messing with me but that's my answer to your response.
  4. This community has probably been filtered by the game to not care about the gun play and more about the other stuff that this game does well. If you cared about the gun play this game would look like hot garbage. I honestly can't defend this game in that aspect. The game has grown from a really shotty unplayable state and overtime the devs have been through multiple tiers of quality stages to get it where it is now. There's many more stages for the game to fulfill it's potential and the gun play is one of them. This game has a unique ambition but in the pursuit it may have them neglecting basic elements of what makes a game good.
  5. so you think the skipping/ missing frames of the recoil is acceptable? You think the 2d plan of gun sway is acceptable? You think that having your running animation be the bobbing of everything in your hand is ok as oppose to every fps doing the tuck and run. Every game with melee animations at least have 2 animation one swing from the left to right. I'm not asking for much. I'm asking for bare minimum standards to be realized. I'm thinking you got way to comfortable with what the game is that any added compared standards of what an fps should be is just something that "would be a plus" at most.
  6. I listed these things in the first comment. I have faith that you can critically look and compare how first person shooter usually work and what 7dtd is missing. I can tell you a lot but it 3am and I'm heading to bed.
  7. I missed the part where they said at any time they were going to fix the first person shooter part of the game. I know the animation team is on other jobs thank you but it's also about what they don't have have on there to do list. Last time I heard from Joel about this he said the first person shooter side of the game was fine. It seemed like he didn't even think it had glaring issues. Do you know something that I don't? after there done with all the npc stuff will they move to a revamp on everything first person? I think it'll be time to go gold by then. Once they go gold I think will be stuck with a subpar shooter element of an overall good game. There are still a lot of people waiting on this game to fill it's potential. I've been waiting for 7 years for bandits to come out so I can wait but the question is do they have time to do another revamp on something so big?

Revamp the first person everything. the bone work the recoil the running animation the way your gun sways when moving the camera revamp all of that having more than one main attack melee animation I've been wanting to make a video but I'd just be pointing out the obvious to the animation team. Joel needs to put them on that assignment that's one of the main reason people look at this game and say "what a load of hot garbage" then the fans have to defend and cope about how the gameplay is fine enough. That issue is always in your face on every video at all times giving the impression that this is a game in early alpha stages.
  9. This is why Rick should zip it. If they say 3 weeks then make it 2 months. It's a whole trend and if your new welcome to the boat. The leads give overly optimistic release windows that have no chance of happening.
  10. In the gore dismemberment section of the stream I noticed a lot of emersion breaking with what weapon was chopping of limbs. Hammers and shotguns were severing heads clean off. I don’t want the head to fly off the neck. I want it to be blow up when I shoot my shotgun point blank. Same with hammers.
  11. I always think of death in 7dtd as a cure with affordable consciences. To have 1% infection on res would be more of an incentive to stay alive and look for antibiotics and healing items.
  12. I see Infestation as a quest type that can be iterated upon and be made much bigger than more zombies in future updates to provide an overall combination of objectives. We've had quest types that would be named after their objectives because they only had one or two implemented but what if we had 4 or 5. What if there was a tier 4 and 5 raid quest type that would be like a miniature L4D run.
  13. agreed. I would play a bunch if them if it weren't only at night. You could have at night time only quests but having the whole quest type be night time only is unnecessary.
  14. Having more objectives would be great for the bigger quests. Infestation seems like more of a difficulty increase but if you could have objectives scattered all over the poi it would make for a eventful play through of juggling zombies and quest objective. I am excited for infestation because harder quests justify doing them with friends.
  15. It would be cool if there was rubble for one of the pois. At this point I am not surprised. You have a building that the whole poi is side ways. My question is did you guys add broken roofing that doesn't remind be that this is a voxel game.
  16. More zombie quest type is cool. More poi, rwg and deco is always cool. ... I've seen better updates best update was alpha18 when you guys added so many weapons and weapon types for more of a diverse rpg feel. legendary weapons that are on the same level as the highest tier gun would be nice. There is only one weapon in each weapon type that is at the highest tier. Have to rely on mods to make end game satisfying. There's talent to scoop up in the modding scene if Rick would care to look *face palm* (Undead Legacy) - Subquake
  17. We need to see a prerecorded water demonstration. The water that we saw looked horrible. Don't do fast travels if you aren't going to physically move us with a helicopter. This update that has taken a year an a half ain't something to right home about. doors are cool ...
  18. Just play mods. That's my suggestion. 7 days to die is made for overhaul mod creativity. Darkness Falls, Undead Legacy, Sorcery, Age of Oblivion and on and on.
