  1. I really enjoyed the new power attack animations, such as with the machete. Why was it now made to look like a normal attack?
  2. Greetings. Can someone explain what gfx or gfx af means and what its default is? Someone suggested gfx af 1 and Joel recommended gfx af 0, but now on Ultra, certain images are still low res and blurry, such as paintings and doors. Since A18Exp, I constantly see memory leaks and shader errors in the Console. I assume this is known and will not be a part of Stable?
  3. One of the big issues we are confronted with is that Attributes represent talent, not skill. With everyone waking up being 'abysmal' in every attribute, it's as if we're waking from a coma and relearning who we once were. The only other option would be to establish attributes at Level 1. Where as this would be more realistic, it would affect the progress curve TFPs intend for beginning, middle, and end game. It is very important someone cannot learn to do everything by the end of their career (level-cap).
  4. I am very much into the RP side of 7DtD. Even Joel has commented on the RP aspect of it. It's right in the mission statement: "With over 3 million copies sold on PC (digital download), 7 Days to Die has redefined the survival genre, with unrivaled crafting and world-building content. Set in a brutally unforgiving post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead, 7 Days to Die is an open-world game that is a unique combination of first person shooter, survival horror, tower defense, and role-playing games. It presents combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration, and character growth, in a way that has seen a rapturous response from fans worldwide. Play the definitive zombie survival sandbox RPG that came first. Navezgane awaits!" It always has been a hybrid-genre crafting, horde, survival, role-playing game. You're still responsible for playing a person in a story. The big thing to remember is we've been able to enjoy the game 'before' it has been born. It won't always be story-lite. There is no such thing as a person being a 'master-of-all-trades.' The mark of a truly great game is having multiple paths to accomplishing the same goal, not being forced into cookie-cutter molds or being forced to play like everyone else.
  5. Hehe, that does tend to happen. Someone else was trying to show someone complaining on not finding things that randomness is back to being better in the game. I do agree that uncertainty is very important for replay value. I remember a playthrough in A14 and not being able to find any calipers! These days, I am keeping a wide eye open for antibiotic recipes when not playing a smart character (high Intellect).
  6. Interesting idea. I did find a bit if honey from a well known tree stump location. Also have been spotting them on Traders. Still not a single antibiotic by Day 21! I do know a location that should have herbal antibiotics in the Mountainman Chest, but have not tried for it in A18. Update: Am finding operational workstations in the world.
  7. The ones I was posting about were definitely from the day. And they were not a part of any horde - they rose near my home. Feral Zombies are normally associated with a higher Game Stage. I was at Game Stage 10 and less when I was seeing then, which I think is very new, as ferals were always a part of Game Stage progression, which was tied to your level, your longest life, and the size of your group. I am not sure if anything has changed, but being less than level 1, during week 1, on Scavenger, and by myself, I never expected to see one so soon. Still taking notes on changes. I ended up getting infected early on and could not find what I needed to cure myself - even after a thorough raid of the Hospital in Diersville. My first death was Day 10 due to 100% infection.
  8. Thank you for the reply, Joel. I have seen at least a half a dozen in the first week, and it was daytime, actually. Took quite a bit of effort at that level, but still managed it. My first death was on Day 10 after getting infected. I looked around, but to no avail. Even a trip to the hospital in Diersville did not yield an antibiotics! I hope they can still be found at Pop 'n Pills. I was a bit surprised by that. 100% infection did my character in. The new infection system is quite intriguing and has good realism. Also, every workstation I've found out in the world so far have been destroyed. Can they still be found functional? Thanks for your time!
  9. I am seeing feral zombies by Day 2 on Scavenger difficulty. Is this intended??
  10. Greetings. I am not sure this is a bug, so I am asking here first: I found a teir 2 pistol and could not find any way to attach a flashlight to it. I saw the attachment "slot." Surely, we can still use out flashlights on weapons, yes? Thank you.
