  1. Morning I like long games and big builds...and for that I cheat a little by adding Anabella's vehicle respawner. I know this is not your mod and not your problem to make compatibility..., but still got to try and ask at least Is there a way you could incorporate the modlet as a option, or look at compatibility at least ? :biggrin: It no longer works with the current version of DF... Nor the other vehicle respawner, although it does work in vanilla.
  2. Just a quick shout out. New experimental version is really running very nicely with 18.3 . Having a blast as always.
  3. Minor Bug Started a new game on Medium2 . Chose Farmer and Laborer as starting classes. During Stage 3 of Farmers Quest, you must builld 4 Plots, place 4 plots, sow 2 Golden Rod, and Sow 2 Yucca seeds respectively . This is where the bug comes in, and although minor, it does create a little tense situation. When you place the plots, the plots acquired reduces. So you can't complete the quest with 4 plots, but you need to craft 8 plots, and place 4 so that you still have 4 in inventory. So if you did like I did and planned my perk points around getting Sous Cheff from finishing that quest..it creates a situation where I now have to scramble to hopefully find food before I starve.
  4. Usually yes, but Southern Africa is currently bent under a sea cable break. So if that's the cause I'll try again in a few weeks when the internet latency is restored. Thanks so much for clearing that up.
  5. Hi I'm getting this error from attempting to install a mod. Could you please clarify if it's a bug, something wrong on my side, or something wrong with mod ? Just need to know if I must do something, or stop trying to make it work. Appreciate your time

  8. I got a strange issue. Just downloaded and installed a fresh version of DF through the mod launcher, and I have no textures in the main menu frames. ( Is the None experimental version functioning, or maybe it is something else ? )
  9. It's working just fine. There are some minor anomalies with some of the custom POIs, but nothing game breaking.
  10. Did you launch it as administrator ?
  11. Presync you only need to do once, when you install the mod the first time. From there you just choose "play mod" with option turned on for "Refresh mods automatically" ( ...also "Run game as Admin" to avoid 'steam not found' error ) . Then all the modlets etc will be kept up to date.
  12. I just continued my 18.1 game mod build 3 game, after updating to 18.2 and new mod, and picked up no issues. I'll let you know if I run in to anything, but since there were no warnings in the startup sequence, I doubt there will be.
  13. Launcher not working yet. Updated main game, and done fresh install on to the new 18.2 version of the game. It took 2h40 minutes to revert it back to 18.1 again EDIT: Deleted everything again, and did another fresh install, and this time it worked. So not sure what happened, but can confirm Launcher works just fine now. Game and Mod updated.
  14. Ahh.. did not know that the rain catcher made it in here. Although, I have not seen any rain in 2 weeks. So this won't effectively solve the problem. Unless it is not reliant on the actual rain..., but I figured, a person that can build a 4x4, laser workbench, gyrocopter, etc..., should have no issue slapping a few pipes together and opening a tap to let water run down to some crops. ( Or at very least fill a bucket of water from said tap )
  15. nvm.. Went looking for Sniper Rifle, as is the name on the parts and skills, but item is actually called Marksmanship rifle. I'm no modder, but would love if someone could tell me where to disable the feature about plants needing water. Yeah, I know RL farming and planting, but in this game, for me, it is one of those mundane things that serve no purpose and quickly becomes tedious. That, or perhaps add a system that connects the working sink to some irrigation pipes. Add a electric pump if need be to balance difficulty or whatnot, but to run around switching buckets and filling and dropping water .... it really feels like a speed hump on a race course.... just doesn't fit in mid-to- late game for me.

  17. The creator mentioned he got a hectic RL schedule, but still hope to release a A18 stable in November, so watch this space. It always amazes me how these content creators manage to create such amazing mods, while still doing a normal job/family/rl things. Just makes one appreciate it even more.
  18. Agreed. I love DF. Having a blast, but I do miss Starvation still. The insanity of it all... Yeah..horde nights were just farming time as you built up resources and equipment in preparation to move in to the radiated zones.

  22. Ran in to a snag. My savegame got corrupted, so started a new game. Ever since the new game, I can't access oil barrels/hidden stashes ( ammo supplies pile, medical supply pile etc. ) . There is simply no "Press E to open" text or anything. I did also notice in the same time as the savegame corruption and subsequent bugs, that SphereII core files and launcher is mismatched again. It shows I must update, although I have latest version.
  23. I'll post feedback here if it's alright. I let the mod launcher do his thing through the night, and this morning I created a new game for my first run in DF. So far so good. I love the LBD system, and how you integrated it with the new ....and you were not kidding about it getting hairy at night. Thought I would continue to sneak around a bit after dark, but like a tortoise quickly duck back in to the hole I dug. So far the only thing that might cause a issue, is the trader guards. Their awareness might need to be changed to a 360 angle. The trader I had to visit for my first quest, was being recked from the inside. Don't know how the Zombie got in there, but with all the guards facing away, he was just breaking down the place and no one paid him any notice, until I engaged the zombie. Then all hell suddenly broke lose and the zombie got perforated. EDIT : Had a kek laugh at myself now. Made it through zombies, survivors, wolves, budgis and bees. Spent the first night out in the wild, and finally found a place where I'm happy to start building..., then get trampled by a freaking cow.... lol
