  1. My server will not last 6-12hrs without a crash and im losing my mind.

     

    I see on the official 7dtd discord many other server owners are having crash and freeze issues in A21.

     

    As a way of bringing attention to this issue, id like to create this thread and have all Server Owners who are having issues comment here to bring this to the attention of TFP. 

     

     

    I honestly can't even pinpoint what the issue is, logs aren't really giving me much of a clue unless im clueless (likely the case)

     

    I will post a few links to logs of mine from days the server has crashed (everyday since A21 stable release)

    Its not too big of a difference. Just less books in newspaper, mailboxes etc. And less books as a quest reward, and no guarantee of crafting skill books as a reward anymore, as well as an increase in price for water filters (good thing i just bought one) and a few other small changes/fixes.

    I did not mean that was the driving factor. There is actually a post here from MM in which he states what you just said.

     

    What I mean by the immersion bit was that TFP has made an attempt to make the game more immersive in other aspects, but this one is a step back in the sense of immersion. Sorry for the confusion.

  4. If you ask me the biggest blunder of this whole water jar thing is that TFP wants the game to be more immersive, but water jars disappearing after using them isn't very immersive or real feeling to me.

     

    Also, setting up a dew collector, then having it randomly produce jars for the water is immersion breaking and just weird.

     

     

    IIRC they did this before, although I think it was an accident years ago in which after drinking water you got no jar back. I remember my server and many others just modding it back into the game. I imagine lots are doing that again right now.

     

     

     

    If you ask me, they need to make something else to replace the water jar. Maybe a canteen you can craft that you have to fill at the dew collector as the collector would have its own water tank storage, then once collected into the canteen, you can carry it around with you, but that effectively have you carrying one single water jar around and we all know one jar of water isn't enough. 

     

    Say im out on a long run away from base, I expect 3 days away from base. What do I do? Id need multiple water jars since a single canteen doesn't work. So obviously the water jars concept needs to stay, or at least some sort of way to carry multiples. Maybe having to craft multiple canteens? Just seems some kinks need working out.

    Yes, randomly last week my server started throwing a texture error for the XUI on this mod.

     

    Can't get into my server because of it. Had to remove the mod.

  6. Are we supposed to have to reset game files every time we want to rebuild?

     

    Bc I can't ever seem to rebuild. I always get the error

     

    This Assembly-CSharp.dll file has already been patched by SDX so can not be used as a backup. Reset your game files and try again.

  7. Unfortunately I had alerted him to that error back in 17. Had to remove his stuff from Ravenhearst which Im sad about as it is a much loved modlet. Hopefully he can fix it so we can readd it in RH6.

     

    Have you tested any single items? Maybe its a specific item that is doing it... This never happened back in A17 for me and my server. But that was before he added the rocking chair, hot tub, showers, the dinner table, GoT Throne etc.

     

    So to me, it seems to be a problem with a single or set of new items added after the initial mod was released.

  8. The breeding may not be fully fleshed out. However, if a Cow is an Adult, and has an Adult Bull, and they get close, the cow can get pregnant. Over time, a calf will be spawned.

     

    Ah okay. What about taming them, or trapping? My players are still trying to figure out how to trap animals.

  9. Do you have a a log file from the incident? Maybe the NPC was generating some kind of error.

     

    I don't have a log from that incident, but I do have to say, only with the NPC mod do I get this error, and this is also causing issues currently on my server..

    Used the same mods in A17 and got the same error. We actually had to remove the NPC mod because of it. Wandering trader and Bandits mod works just fine.

     

    Removed this mod, error gone. Put the mod back. turn on the server, error is back.

     

    EDIT: Server is having the same issue we had back in A17.. players can't join after a certain amount of time, and our server hangs saying a player is still there, when they are not. Happens when they get around NPCs. A player said they hired an NPC for bloodmoon, and then the server crashed and kicked him off, but the server was still on, and unable to have players connect.

     

    Also, this spam in log makes it extremely frustrating to debug any errors we may have... 15min of my server being on and my log file size is 12,623,245 bytes......

  10. Having an error on my server in which, I spawn an NPC, hire him. Command him to stay, and a few things happen. Placed bar stools... didnt see them.. killed the NPC BAM. Stools appear.

     

    Friend walks into our Community Center bar, I spawn another NPC, hire him, command him to stay. Friend is unable to jump, crouch, or sprint. I can hear him walking around, but only see him walking in place. He says he is right in front of me, but I see him very far away at the bar, me at the door. Kill the NPC, and BAM were staring at each other face to face and he regains full movement again.

     

    Happened earlier, but I actually blamed another mod for it. Seems it was this one.

  11. Do you have Scroll Lock on, by any chance? 0-SphereIICore has a feature where, if your scroll lock is on, it'll load up your last save game.

     

    Im honestly not even sure how to turn that on/off

     

    EDIT: nvm duh. that scroll lock.

    Dude.... I love you again.. Thank you so much. Spent almost 3 hours trying to figure out what is wrong... Never knew about that scroll lock feature.

  12. Really odd bug now after several hours of playing. My server crashed while I was playing and my game seems to be very borked since.

     

    Server is fine, all players connect fine, but I cannot get onto my game at all.

     

    I sign in with DMT and my game Immediately open a SP game... if I quit VIA the pause menu it goes directly to desktop.

     

    uninstalled 2 times and retired still same thing.

    Installed in new spot same thing.

    Completely wiped all traces of 7dtd same thing

    wiped via game launcher same thing

    Uninstalled, DIDNT use DMT, and it works. Build with DMT, doesn't work.

     

    It seems once adding the rebuilt assembly dll, i get the error, deleting, and verifying clears the error. But the issue is now, I can't get on my own server and all my players can....

     

    No matter what I try I can't play with DMT.. All im using is Animal Husbandry, Bandits, Traders and NPCS and its 1 dependency.

  13. Wonkiest rocking chair ever... but i love it.. and this mod.

     

    Amazing work. Jealous of it actually. The PC is awesome, the hot tub, the carousel, Great man. Just great.

    Now my Community Town feel real!

     

     

    EDIT:

    Sad day.. have to remove the mod. Spamming the same error mentioned above... also gave some severely ♥♥♥♥ed up bugs on my server

     

     

    Once getting off a hammock, it made my server unplayable. I saw players moving in place, then couldnt jump. Couldnt use DM or CM to fly. Removed the hammock, ZOOM we all fly across the map and then are stuck again. Remove a chair, ZOOM again.

     

    Big bug... really hope it gets fixed.

     

    EDIT again: I think it seems to be the rocking chair. The bug only happened to me directly after using a rocking chair, or while a player was.

  14. Yes. With DMT, you can add multiple build locations, so you can point to both the client and dedi and have them build.

     

    The files are different though. Under Managed, you are looking for Assembly-CSharp.dll, Mods.dll, 0Harmony.dll, and DMT.dll, along with the traditional Mods folder.

     

    I usually sort the Managed folder by Date modified, and grab them easily.

     

     

    Thats what I usually do as well.

  15. I remember with SDX tool to mod a Dedi, you had to install a dedi on your PC, and build that way, then copy over the dll and mods folder, im assuming its the same way for DMT?

  16. It's because I'm not a graphic artist, haha! The 3D model assets are The Fun Pimps' models for hops (to make your own beer). I thought they looked a bit like a cannabis plant and ran with it.

     

    There are some cool Marijuana plant assets on the unity store.. Was going to make a mod like this myself, but haven't ventured into that whole realm of modding in textures, models etc. Only XML modifications so far.

  17. All is working fine in A18 with some fixing, except helicopter. Have tried checking settings for one hour now but no luck so far. Anyone have a working heli in A18?

     

    Another issue is that jet-pack work without gas.

     

    Heli works fine for me. Jetpack does however not require gas. Can't find out why.

  18. There are two issues with cameras right now. First, the cameras stop panning if you get too far from them. I may need to turn off the panning and just increase the horizontal FOV. Second, if you do not turn off the new occlusion setting in the video menu, then objects will get culled out of view when those objects are more than 8-10 blocks away (except for trees and a few other things).

     

    You could never see more than your arms and weapons on a added camera. That is why I dont release working mirrors.

     

    Without adding code Im not sure if we can fix the second issue. I left it A17 only until we decide if those things are manageable for A18.

     

    Yep, Now that you mention that I did notice just a few moments ago that certain things were not in view. Currently can only see a shadow of arms and item in hand.

  19. CCTV works with A18 btw. Just tested it here. Noticed you only stated that was A17 compatible.

     

    EDIT: or maybe not properly... I don't remember this part, but i can't see myself in the camera. I believe we used to be able to see ourselves before right?
