  1. Thank you for the suggestions. I will pass them on to my in-house IT support 😄 The computers are on ethernet, and I'm fairly certain neither of us has OEM gaming software since the computers were built piecemeal and we both try to look for and delete bloatware. I don't know the answer to the others. I did look at FPS per meganoth's suggestion. My husband's computer maintains ~60fps while mine only maintains ~32fps. However, it turns out my game runs at ~32fps in a solo game as well. The machines are nearly identical, so the difference is a bit puzzling. We had some extra RAM, so my husband installed it in my machine, bringing the total to 48GB, I believe. We've only played a couple of hours since, but it seems to have made an improvement. However my FPS remains at ~32.
  2. I don't know that this is necessarily a bug report. If most other players aren't seeing the issue then it's not a problem with the game. So I was really just trying to put a feeler out to see if this was a common experience and try to understand whether I should be pursuing it as a bug or a problem on our end.
  3. A21 has actually made this a little worse for me. I was hoping the advertised performance improvements in A21 would address the issue, but it hasn't, at least for me. My husband and I play together on a game hosted on his PC. The zombies often bounce around, especially after being knocked down. It's classic rubberbanding and I'm just wondering if there are any tricks people know to help improve this. I don't know if the issue is with the game itself, or how the game interacts with the host computer's busses/hardware/software. Or the receiving computer's, for that matter. Our computers are middle of the road in terms of age and performance (intel i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1T Samsung 860 EVO SSD harddrive) Has anyone investigated this and have advice for things we can try? Thanks, Aerial
  4. I absolutely love the new update. It feels like a survival game again. I'm still in very early game so I haven't seen any significant imbalance in tool/weapon progression. I did find a tier 6 helmet on day 2, which honestly felt great given how much of a struggle everything else was (in a good way), but that was random loot, not the trader. (For context, this game is a 2 player co-op, Warrior difficulty, no mods. And we're little old people; experienced but not particularly great gamers.) The quality-of-life improvements are amazing! All the little annoying things I used to do (destroying nests and trash, labeling each trader) are done automatically now and it makes me so happy. The new art assets and textures are really sharp. I'm not usually one to care much about the "look" of a game, but the quality and detail of the new assets really adds to the game, so much so that even I noticed.
  5. Summary: It is not possible to join a game as second player using the "Connect IP" option when internet access is not available due to "Server Search" being disabled. This capability was lost mid-A20 when the changes to server search were made that put the "Connect IP" screen behind "Server Search". No output log is attached because the issue is not related to the game or gameplay. It is simply caused by the order in which the "Server Search" and "Connect IP" screens are made available when trying to join a game hosted on another computer. And since the issue is the inability to join a game, there is no log. Game Version: A20/A21 OS/Version: Windows 10 CPU Model: N/A System Memory: N/A GPU Model and VRAM: N/A Screen Resolution: N/A Video Settings: N/A Did you wipe old saves? Yes Did you start a new game? Yes Did you validate your files? No Are you using any mods? No EAC on or off? On Status: NEW Bug Description: When "Join Game" is selected, the next screen is "Server Search", which is disabled when there is no internet access. The "Connect IP" option is not available unless you can access "Server Search". However, physically connected machines should be able to play a local game together even when internet is not available. This capability was lost mid-A20 when the changes to server search were made. That was when the "Connect IP" option was moved behind the "Server Search" screen. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug: 1) Need two computers that are connected to the same LAN 2) Disconnect internet to both 3) Start a game on machine 1 4) Attempt to join machine 1's game from machine 2 Actual result: "Connect IP" option is not available so it is not possible to join game Expected result: Should be able to play multi-player game offline when the computers do not require internet service to see each other
  6. Hey survivors! Here's a list of, not exactly bugs, but things I hope have been improved in A21. They're all minor so I haven't seen anything about them in official releases or streams, but I'm hoping someone here may have information. 1. Repetitive quest lists. It feels like I get the same pool of 6 - 8 clear/fetch-clear/fetch quests for a given trader and tier list, regardless of how many eligible POIs are in the adjacent town. In a small town I can see that being due to there only being so many POIs of that tier available, but in the big cities there ought to be enough to avoid repeats, I would think. Especially for the lower tiers. 2. Every vending machine is seeded with the same items. The first time I visit each vending machine in a RWG world it has nearly or completely identical lists of items (I can't swear to completely identical because I don't pay much attention to most of the candy types, but canned goods for sure.) 3. Weather lighting not the same for non-hosts in a LAN game. TFP did mention fixing weather not being the same for all players on a server so this may have been addressed, but the issue we experience isn't that the weather doesn't synch up. If it's raining on the host game, I get rain, too. But my game remains full-sun bright regardless of rain, snow or fog. I do get the biome darkness of the wasteland, just not weather-related darkening. Am I crazy? Has anyone else experienced these? Thanks! Aerial
  7. Hi everyone, I've been trying to update my existing, worked-on-earlier-versions-of-A20 modlet that removes traders from the game. (I want it to work with Magoli's compopack.) All the modlet does is change any "spawn_trader" tags in rwgmixer.xml to "false" and adds "spawn_trader" tags to any township type that doesn't have them. Now, though, it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know if the "spawn_trader" tag no longer has any impact? Or maybe there has to be at least one trader that spawns? One of the consequences previously of not spawning any traders in the world was that you always started at (0,0), which could be challenging, depending on the biome. The weird thing is that I can use a world previewer and it claims there are no traders, but there most definitely is at least one. I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out why this modlet no longer works. I don't get any errors on mod load. Alternately, does anyone know how to disable the trader functionality without removing them? Thanks, Aerial
  8. Bumping this to the top because I'd like to know this, too.

    No Traders Modlet

Return to the classic 7 Days experience and say goodbye to Joel, Jen and the gang! This modlet removes traders from random world generation and removes the last stage of the starter quest. Requires a fresh world gen as this modlet is not compatible with saved worlds that have traders generated in them. 11. Do you have a link to the bug report forum? I haven't been able to find it.
  12. Not the case here, I don't think. Both POIs were houses that existed in A19 and previous.
  13. I accepted a quest at the POI next door to the one I had set up as my base. Accepting the quest reset my base POI as well as the one the quest was in and destroyed my bedroll and chests.
  14. I don't know if this is POI-specific or general. I observed it on PREGEN8K map in the small town near 3000N/3000E in house_modular_07. There are a number of mines of various types in the attic. The cook pot mines were visible at all times. The small land mines that look like hockey pucks were invisible unless I was sighting in with a bow or gun.

This is a modlet that uses xpath. Sorry I didn't make that clear in the original post.

    Master Chef Redux

I got tired of collecting canned goods only to never really use them for much of anything, so this mod rearranges the Master Chef recipes to make cooking more interesting. Early game cooking uses canned goods heavily, giving value to all those scavenged cans. Late game cooking focuses on crops, once you've had time to establish a garden. Overall, food is a little bit more challenging in the early game. Let me know what you think of the balance, especially on high population servers. My play testing has all been 1 or 2 person worlds.
