  1. the game needs more vehicles, handguns to cause more damage, and a lot more textures to paint and create buildings. A good pack of "nice" textures would be great in order to be able to create "new" buildings. Since all we can do, despite building modern bases, is to paint them with ugly textures. It also needs the ability to edit the type of fuel from vehicles.xml in order to let mod makers add different fuels such as biodiesel, etc as mods. So far the only fuel that could be changed is for the chainsaw and auger, but not vehicles.
  2. The one with issues as both client AND server ON LINUX is AMD Phenom II X4 3400Mhz 4 cores, 4 logicla processes. The problem has to do with the implementation of the EOS crossplatform service. Up to A20.3 the workaround was, for linux dedicated server, to remove EOS from platform.cfg Now in a20.4 removing this line gets you two types of problems: As a server, your server starts but is unable to acquire an IP in the server browser. People are only able to connect via direct ip connection. As a client (steam linux) the game doesn't start, removing the line crossplatform=EOS helps because the game starts but you are unable to join any active games. This doesn't affect the windows game client. I booted this system with a windows 10 hard disk installed steam and the game client and was able to join servers normally. Perhaps it has to do with mono? You probably are able to tell more than I do. If there's anything I can do to help, please message me. Alexia. Someone replicated the error by attempting to run a dedicated linux server on the same type of hardware and got the same type of error. Output log here: https://pastebin.com/PWM6wXa5
  3. This has nothing to do with VMs. The thread you quote is old and it was a workaround for 20.3. Useless now. And last but not least. I'm a she, not a he. Have a good day.
  4. That has nothing to do with this issue. This is much worse than that. It's something the game devs should look into ASAP. I recreated this error on a computer (client) and came up to the conclusion that the problem is the EOS crossplatform directive in platform.cfg it affects both Linux servers on AMD hardware and the linux client for steam. Today I ran a little test on a home computer on an AMD phenom x4 running linux fedora and after installing the game via steam, the game would freeze up in the loading screen. I went on, removed the crossplatform=EOS from platform.cfg and the game started. The problem is now in a20.4 b42 that seems like the server IP for the server browser is gathered by this directive, so dedicated servers on linux using AMD hardware are unable to host this game anymore until this gets fixed. I have temporarily switched the gameserver to one of my Dual Xeon servers but this is only a contingency, since I use this server for other purposes (I'm a systems engineer/Software dev and this is my personal testing server) I really hope this gets patched up because it affects linux players and linux dedicated servers. In my case, I host two servers and have a pretty large community. I stayed up until 2 AM trying to sort this out and performing a last minute migration to different hardware before my players started rioting. It was working flawlessly in a20.3 without the crossplatform=EOS in the dedicated server's crossplatform.cfg file.
  5. This is an urgent request. My whole community is dead until I am able to fix this issue and I host a pretty busy server. on a20.3 my server (Dedicated, Linux) would throw a SIGILL error and wouldn't start. I was able to fix this by removing the crossplatform=eos line in platform.cfg Now after I updated my servers this afternoon, I had the same issue. SIGILL error. So i went and removed the line. The servers start but they don't show up in the servers list, as if they are unable to bind to an IP. If a friend joins, the server shows up, but the IP field is empty. People are only able to reach it and play via direct ip connection. I need to fix this ASAP.
  6. Good afternoon. Perhaps this helps somebody. I'm a systems engineer dabbling for the first time into the world of game hosting. Set up two servers for 7dtd on linux. When I set up my 2nd server, I got a SIGILL error and the server wouldn't start no matter what. I tried many configurations, reinstalled steamCMD, tried different operating systems (Linux Redhat 8.5 and Debian 11) and the error persisted.. The only difference between these two servers is that the one that ran without issues is an intel proc and the one with issues is AMD. Finally after reinstalling RHEL 8.5 and reading and looking for answers I found out that the (temporary?) solution was to disable EOS from the config and now it works flawesly on my AMD dedicated server. Hope this helps somebdy with a similar issue as I read somebody was having the same problem trying to run the gameserver under ubuntu server.
  7. Good afternoon. I'm using King Gen for my server's map. I purposely chose NO TRADERS in order to have my custom prefabs inserted later. My custom traders work, but the problem is that the game is not detecting any traders. It says TRADER: No traders. How could I make the game use my custom traders for the trader quest? Best regards.
