  1. This actually really annoys me. One of the big arguments I see is "Oh well the zombies would perform better if it were on unreal." Or "Oh it'd look so much better on unreal..." No. Not being a fully destructable VOXEL WORLD would help in both of those regards since it won't have to constantly recalculate nav meshes, distort meshes on player interaction, etc. (Plz don't remove world destruction in this game, kkthx)

  2. Yes, but it is a scale, not distance. zombieTemplateMale is <property name="AIFeralSense" value="1.5"/> Currently only zeds that are different are zbear at 1.2 and zdog at 1.6. It does not mean anything expect our next game will probably be HDRP.

  7. Anyone see this video on YouTube? Valve is releasing, basically a handheld gaming PC. Does anyone think this will be able to play 7 Days to Die? Not sure it would be too pleasant playing this game on a 7 inch screen however it can be linked to a monitor & played from there. An inexpensive way for pepe to play this game without breaking the bank on a high end gaming rig.

  9. I am not on the forums too often so I haven't heard of King Gen. Thank you for letting me know about it! I'll look it up now and grab it. I run a two servers and even on a high end CPU it still takes forever for the game to make a map. lol So something like King Gen is a must, but I guess you know that. lol

  10. Did you start a new game on the world you updated? I don't believe map changes in existing games show up without manually deleting region files.

  11. Doughphunghus, 7 Days cannot attain more than 60fps. Unity is a very dated engine and internally things go haywire above 60fps. The only way to fool your FPS counter into thinking you are above 60fps is to disable vertical sync, which means you get a LOT of incomplete buffers which count as entire frames, despite not being so. I have a 144Hz G-Sync monitor and a 2080 Ti. I stayed pegged at 60fps the entire time I am playing 7 Days, and I play in 1440p. I leave vertical sync on so I don't get tearing and so G-Sync works. Always capped at 60fps in Unity games though. Subnautica, Subnautica BZ, 7 Days, My Summer Car, The Forest, Raft, LoE, Stranded Deep, and others all lock you to 60 real FPS max. The good news is that my 2080 Ti never warms up while playing those titles!

My concept art #2 "An old fishing boat converted into a ferry" ENG:Idea:The original idea was to make a unique quest from a merchant to clean up a small harbor and restore power supply.After successful completion of the quest, it will be possible to call a ferry by radio and move your character with experience,inventory and transport (4x4, motorcycle,bicycle) to a new generated world (when interacting with NPC on the boat, a menu will appear with the choice of the next generated world or the generation of a new one).So survival in a new world would be the next stage, and not another new survival from scratch .Ferry:The ferry is an old rusted fishing boat, with some modifications for transporting survivors with their transport.It has a bridge for the entrance of vehicles, a manual mechanism that raises and lowers the bridge ,canisters and barrels of fuel for refueling the boat, an antenna and a radio for communication with harbors, and of course a huge amount of welding so that the ferry does not fall apart on the move.Ferry Driver:At the helm of the ferry is an old fisherman who loves to fish and invent all sorts of interesting things from garbage,but he does not understand anything about welding,so the ship is welded in places with a dot, and in places it is welded "just to hold on".The zombie apocalypse did not affect him much,since he spends almost all his time in the open sea, fishing on his boat . Occasionally, he helps survivors to cross from one shore to another,usually takes food, junk for repairing and modifying the boat, or just fuel as paymentDevelopment:It is unlikely that I will implement this in the game since I do not understand anything about coding and am not ready to spend time studying it.If someone is ready to implement this idea, then I am ready to help with drawing and I can provide 3d models that I have made at the moment.To contact me, you can use discord : Rare Avantgarde Rat#3558Continuation of the drawing:I have already started making a harbor, but it will take some time since I am currently working on "toxic plants" (another concept for 7d2d)RU:Идея:Изначальная идея заключается в том чтобы сделать уникальный квест от торговца по зачистке маленькой гавани и восстановлению электропитания.После удачного выполнения квеста появится возможность вызвать паром по радио и переместить своего персонажа с опытом,инвентарем и транспортом (4х4 ,мотоцикл,велосипед) на новый сгенерированный мир (при взаимодействии с нпс на лодке появится меню с выбором следующего сгенерированного мира или же генерация нового) .Таким образом выживание в новом мире было бы следующим этапом,а не очередным новым выживанием с нуля .Паром:Паром представляет из себя старую поржавевшую рыбацкую лодку ,с некоторыми доработками для транспортировки выживших с их транспортом.На нем установлен мост для въезда транспорта,ручной механизм который поднимает и опускает мост ,канистры и бочки с топливом для заправки лодки,антенна и радио для связи с гаванями и конечно же огромное количество сварки чтобы паром не развалился на ходу.Водитель парома:За штурвалом парома старый рыбак который очень любит рыбачить и изобретать всякие интересные штуки из мусора,но он ничего не понимает в сварке,по этому судно сварено местами точкой,и местами сварено "лишь бы держалось".Зомби апокалипсис его не сильно затронул так как практически все время он проводит в открытом море,рыбача на своей лодке .   16. Yeah I would question the speed of the storage on the base system, but the upgraded versions are NVMe. As far as the CPU/GPU's are concerned it's basically a budget 3rd-gen Ryzen with inbred graphics API and overclocked a little bit. Should be perfectly capable of doing the client at 720 with the un-optimized graphic options disabled. Is it worth it though? You could get a faster PC with a GTX1650 for about the same price as the 250GB model, and do 50 times more stuff at 1080p with better framerates.

  17. My first was an Atari 400. 6502 CPU, 1.8MHz. I still own it, it is in factory shape, and it still works. I also own a Tandy 2100, IBM PS/2, and other relics which work. Maybe I can open a museum one day.

  19. Since you have a tuned server to manage, I would prob just ditch my custom spawning behavior and just pull the core enZombie code from entityclasses.xml and merge them into your existing files. It's a bit more tedious that way, but you have more control and prevent unintended glitches. Don't forget to copy over the 'itemshands' from items.xml, and the decos from 'buffs.xml'. That's cool. Renaming my zombies is fine. If you could, just have a link or mod named somewhere in your website or discord or whatever so that anyone who wants to mention bugs, feedback, or try my mod for themselves can reach me here.

  21. My regular gaming buddies are really enjoying the variety offered in the enZombies pack and since they use a mod to show entity names naturally wanted some more personalised titles. Here is a list to save to a Localization.txt file to be placed in the Config folder if you want to use what we use. Alternatively, it's just as easy to amend for your own purposes. For Linux users please ensure L in Localization is capitalised.

  22. I played a game a while back and really enjoyed it. Loot isn't done yet, but the full line up of primitive weapons was implemented so I got to start off with a pipe shotgun and proceed to double barrel and then a pump before I quit playing and it was great being able to specialize right away. I focused mainly on PVE and turned off hordes for the first time ever in a game, mainly because I wanted to try out the new build menu. The new build menu features every block shape in the game, so I was able to go crazy with creation and I had a lot of fun even though hordes were turned off. I did quests for money and the economy is harder than before so I was walking until day 21 or 28, I can't remember when I could finally spring for a motorcycle. Even though it was an early build I had a great time with it. RWG is amazing now, especially cities they are well put together with stop signs, cross walks, sewers, and a lot more. Nobody cares about that except people who have 5000 hours. Football player and cheerleader are gone for good, they don't fit in average scenarios since one out of 100,000 people have those outfits on. This helps make room for bandits (18 of them planned). Yes.

  23. They won't all be glowing and on fire. The original one that was shown a few months back is the regular burnt zombie, the glowing one is a higher tier and the ignited one is highest. It sort of aligns with normal -> Feral -> irradiated. I've played with the normal ones and although they are the weakest of the three, they are super creepy and hard to see in the dark. I've experienced more jump scares from them than any other zombie because in dark interiors they are easy to miss skeletal creepy nightmares. These new guys will be tougher to kill but hard to miss seeing in the dark.

  24. I've been interested in this for a while, but couldn't figure out how to change the colour. I've been poking around and realised it is possible to add custom icon sprites. I'm still fine tuning it, but you can add something like this to controls.xml <insertAfter xpath="/controls/item_stack/rect[@controller='ItemStack']/sprite[@name='itemtypeicon']"> <sprite depth="8" name="knownbookicon" width="24" height="24" sprite="knownbook" pos="2,-2" foregroundlayer="true" visible="{hasitemtypeicon}" color="{itemtypeicontint}" /> </insertAfter> Add the "knownbook" image to the UIAtlas folder and then apply that sprite to the item using this <set xpath="/items/item[@name='schematicMaster']/property[@name='AltItemTypeIcon']/@value">knownbookicon</set> At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to only apply it to skill books as right now it's being applied to everything with an item type icon. EDIT: After an hour of tinkering I realised that it's far easier than all of that. Pop the images in the UIAtlas folder and give them the "ui_game_symbol_" prefix. I used "ui_game_symbol_readbook" and "ui_game_symbol_unreadbook" Set the value, dropping the prefix, as such: <set xpath="/items/item[@name='schematicMaster']/property[@name='ItemTypeIcon']/@value">unreadbook</set> <set xpath="/items/item[@name='schematicMaster']/property[@name='AltItemTypeIcon']/@value">readbook</set> I've uploaded it as a modlet
