It is planned that there will be three levels of radiation along with a radiation icon that will appear and a geiger counter sound effect and possibly a screen effect that will help the player differentiate between the mild, moderate, and extreme radiation zones. It has also been revealed that radiation zones will also modify the gamestage value resulting in tougher enemies and better loot.   5. I'm having problems with 16 bit HeightMaps in the new version. I'm using the same files I was using with v0.8 and it generates this map. The biomes are ok, and the no POI area seems good too, but it doesn't read the 16 bit heightmap and doesn't generate the cities. after multiple failed attempts, I decided to try with the 8 bit heightmap I also had stored and it generated the map as you expected it to be generated. On another note... I'm curios about the new water mask feature. how does it work? ๐Ÿค“ it adds water at any height? can I do like a ri

I just downloaded the compopack for KingGen again and I realized that something has changed (I don't know what it is), because in the previous version the folder shows 04/21/21 and the folder of the new download 06/01/21, I'm going to check to see if it works and then I'll tell you.   8. Try deleting the cp prefabs in your game prefab folder. Re download again and re add the prefabs to the game prefab folder. Re generate a new map also. Did you change the list provided or added to it.

  9. I donโ€™t know that radiation is going to be in A20. I was more talking about future plans and not necessarily plans for A20. we donโ€™t know particulars about how radiation will affect us because it hasnโ€™t been revealed.

Iirc @faatal has mentioned that they're looking at changing it from a straight up <the zombies in the volume know exactly where you are at the moment they activate so they rush you> to a rng die roll to see if they do or just go to wandering awake, adjusted by From the Shadows. I'm waiting to see how that pans out before I bring it back up. Attack volumes are still hyper slanted, unbalanced bull@%$#.

  13. or just open the door, stand there and stealth shot em one by one. When then come to you in that little room kill them and go call forth the next contestant. I learned that after the 1st time I did that POI. Did you not learn? Well now you know. When you say "everyone" you're almost always wrong.

  14. Alpha 20 is getting the Pipe Baton for Int builds. That should greatly help in early game play as the Int tree was the only one that had a melee weapon you can perk into but didn't get it until much later. However, don't expect the baton to improve overall in damage compared to the others. Right now it looks like the plan is to keep the Int tree the worst in regards to combat (if you pure spec into it), but obviously that can change down the road and I don't have any more insight into the Int tree than anyone else eagerly waiting for Alpha 20 ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. Can any dev comment on the QoL changes or changes in general for Stun Baton? Are any even on the table? As someone who started a new A19.5 run with the explicit intention to do a Stun Baton character . . . yeah . . . IMO, you shouldn't need to have candy + a book only mod + an entire perk line + your junk turrets going all combined to basically just let the junk turrets do what they would already have done anyway. I couldn't even get a single stun baton for the entire first week, which made the build very sad as well, so I'm hoping it gets some drop rate changes to actually be usab

  16. I think you got your Alphas mixed up (We are currently on Alpha 19, Alpha 20 is just around the corner). First point you made up above - I was up to Day 125, survivalist setting, hordes every 5 days, maxed zombies. I did not have to do quests to get ammo. I basically looted POIs, mined raw resources, and purchase ammo from the traders. I had to stock up 8 Auto turrets, 4 shotgun turrets, and have enough ammo for my personal weapons. I wasn't really doing any quests, but that did not hinder my ability to restock for every horde night. I don't recall TFP stating that

  17. Not if it is the intent of the Developers that you cannot stealth 100% of the time and those rooms are setup to ensure that you cannot. It wouldn't be a problem at that point, more of how they are approaching the game intent / design. He didn't miss the point. This point has been debated for so much over and over again.

  19. If memory serves, there's somewhere between 300-400 different POIs as of A19. So it's not quite doubling what we have now, but it's still a huge increase. It's also possible that some of the old POIs are being reworked to meet the new standards, but I'm not sure if those count as "new" or not. Either way, I'm really excited to see what the level designers have come up with, hoping we can get another stream in the not-too-distant future!

  21. Well in countries like this army put everything looks "modern" even if it don't have rly sense XD . So yeah drons can works but like flying bombs ( in east people using drons as flying bombs puting on them c4 , or just molotov. So more logical idea is add exoskeleton working like in stalker . Even mingun turrets have more sense because well we have it and it is pretty usefull. Microgun ok . but damn it woudn't work XD fun thing - even old guns like blackpowder have more sense because guerrila and terrorist still use them

  28. Towns are smaller versions of cities. They have slightly different pois and they can contain traders. Villages are smaller than towns and have dirt roads. Villages cannot have traders. The pois used are a bit different than the ones for towns and cities. "Old Residential, "New Residential", and "Downtown" are called "zones". Different zones have different pois, but a poi can be in multiple zones. As for the content: residential zones contain mostly houses, downtown can contain skyscrapers and other stuff.

  29. It is necessary. When you use a cities map, the other settings about cities are overwritten. Actually, you are correct. The other settings about cities are overwritten, however in the case of a forced generation (the city map is empy), then the old setting are used. I did not think of that.

It does not contain any custom blocks, resources, objects, etc. It depends only on the vanilla game and introduces no other requirements or dependencies. My goal is to provide semi-plain "meat and potatoes" POIs of an acceptable quality and in enough quantity to fill gaps in world generation and make a meaningful dent in player demands for variety.   40. Hey is my first time here. I was checking the site and I noticed this post about the coasters . I think is a nice idea for any business to make their own customized product if the owner design it I guess is ok because is original . I believe in Positive and constructive critics not negative and rude . Iโ€™m a 3D CG Artist and I love this game 7 days to die, my favorite game and the graphic are very simple but the game is intense with good sound effects, crafting, materials and I love planting corn, coffee, potatoes but I wish to keep the chickens and pigs to make a farm .

  41. I will agree with that, Go into the school in the snow biome on navezgane, walk into gym, everyone's triggered. There have been countless discussions about sleeper volumes needing to be tweaked. Stealth can work, SOMETIMES, but it's not even close to helpful as it is just running in with a sledgehammer. The best your gonna do is kill 1-2 zombies before the rest wake up. Dying because they've overrun you is a separate problem. If you died because you don't know how stealth or hearing/seeing detection works then that's on you. If you can't stealth more
