  4. Completely not supported. In fact is is guaranteed to have connection issues, sync issues, and other similar problems. I have tested this extensively with a large variety of hardware. The only error I really noticed in the log is that the server you're connecting to has a custom prefab. So when you're in that area, it will not display properly, and will cause sync issues also.

  5. I'll start by saying that 7D2D is one of my favorite games ever and like Star69 and many others around here I have thousands of hours in it. I have paid full-price for the game twice and I think I got a better deal than the publisher/developer did. You don't even need a great video card to have a lot of fun, in my opinion. My main gaming laptop is pretty good, but I play just fine on a 4GB Radeon 560 with "medium" settings (and in a window). Whether you will like it, though...well I would say that "liking zombie games" might not be quite enough. I would say that you need to like at

  6. Not an intentional troll by the game but the first time I took a gyrocopter up I managed to accidentally jump out in mid-air. Fortunately I survived that with 10 hp. Then the gyrocopter landed on me and killed me. I think I laughed for a solid 5 minutes.

  11. 7D2D IMO is the best zombie game out there!! I have been playing since Alpha 16, and have close to 4000 hours into the game. The Fun Pimps have been doing a great job on the development of the game and I have only one more thing to say. Don't miss out on buying this game!!!!!

  16. If you fear for your local games you can always make a backup of C:\Users\Sylen\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\SaveGame (or just "Save") and maybe C:\Users\Sylen\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Worlds, before any critical operations. If you then make a mistake, you will find the savegame in SaveGame and locally generated worlds in Worlds in your backup and can just copy them back.

  17. In the game Launcher under Tools is the option to "Clean game data". You'll want to remove Discovered map of remote games. Alternatively you can also manually go to your UserData\Roaming and remove them there. My path for example... C:\Users\Sylen\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\SaveGameLocal\ Just delete all the folders inside there, and it will remove your locally cached data from servers.

  18. Unless the corrupted data from your character on your local PC carried to the server and corrupted the local file. Then you would need to have the character wiped there as well. Best to start by wiping all of your local server cache, then reboot and try again.

  19. The issues with the 16k map start with the initial download taking forever, and then the rest build up over time. The longer you play on the map, the worse it gets. If you had previously joined the 16k map, left and went to another server without fully exiting the client, the corrupted memory data can carry over to your character and locally saved server data on the other server. This is partially due to the way data is shared between the client and the server. They did fix a bit of it in the last patch, but it still needs work.

  21. If I was paying by the hours of fun I've had with 7D2D it would be about $0.03/hr I would consider that a wise investment if you ask me. Most AAA games for $60 barely hold my attention for 20hrs these days.

Just don't use the random book piles at this stage as it isn't hooked up as yet. If you need to go bigger, go bigger dont be afraid to utilise the size a poi can be. My hotel is big over 300 blocks it requires a non rwg map gen to spawn in also. But rwg handles some big pois just keep it within chunk sizes and don't have to go that big either. You could probably double the size and it sti

  27. Network connections aren't a boolean thing, it could be working but working horribly. Some games/servers handle network issues better than others, and/or you may be routing to a garbage node along the way to the server. And really make sure your AV is disabled to rule that out. If I had a dollar for everytime someone "shuts off an AV" and I look at the services and it's still running I'd have some dollars. Most AV software is pretty much malware without the "malware" tag and sold to the public lol.

  28. Try running a trace route to the ip of the server you are getting the errors on. It should show if there is a bad hop between you and the server.

  29. Only XML-mods are automatically pushed to your client. They are not "installed" they are pushed and loaded every time you join. There is no way and no need to install or remove such mods. Such mods don't affect your single player games (as manually installed mods would) and don't conflict if you switch servers, as they are not loaded at client start, but every time you join a server. Mods that modify geometries, textures, etc. are never downloaded from a server. You ALWAYS need to install them yourself manually. There is no sign if or what mods a server uses. So either it's in the

  33. Nope. It is one of many outlets. Joel used to maintain his own blog where he gave info and we would share it on the forum. Then he stopped that and for awhile mostly posted here. Then they gravitated back to Twitter and Facebook once they started official pages for them. What differentiates this site from others is that the developers talk to the fans here. That isn’t happening anywhere else at present. If you don’t really care where it releases first but felt like there was some injustice done because you thought this forum was supposed to be the primary source, then be at

Funny story, but his wasn't the game trolling you . . . it was YOU trolling you Edit : Decided I would share since I was being nitpicky - Managed to flip my motorcycle end over end in one of the earlier alphas that they existed in. At first I thought I was going to be ok, but then after at least two revolutions the bike came down on top of me and shoved me into the landscape, that didn't kill me though . . . what killed me was the game seemingly taking offense to my current position wedged between the motorcycle and the ground and deciding that the solution was to catap

  36. Best troll. Waay back in a10. We were on our first dedicated server I had set up. Had a little group of us that had converted one of the brown-brick homes into a concrete fort. Had built a basement section with secure bedrooms to keep our personals safe. Full defensive outsides, and had cleared the better part of a city block around it so we could see them coming. We're all sitting up on the roof waiting for the horde. Odd.... where are the zeds? Go down to my chest to grab another weapong. Found the horde. Spawning basically inside my bedroom in the basement. Thank you for your answer, but this is not the point, but the fact that the color scheme of the game is too bright, the plants are bright green, and the snow is like powdered sugar from old Disney cartoons. The color palette makes the game look sickly bright. But thank you for answer And somebody tell me, is it possible to somehow return the old sounds of the environment by replacing the files? And is it possible to somehow increase the number of trees, otherwise the forests are empty in new versions.

  41. You came to the right place. This is not a nuclear winter, asteroid strike or super volcano scenario, so the sky would be normal/realistic, which is what we are going for. The blood moon being exaggerated normal. Not to say we would not do some creepy sky in the future, but I would not want to look at that for long periods of play. Sounds are certainly not done, so they may get more creepy in the future or not. Like everything it depends on the time we have and where we want to spend it.

  45. @bdubyah@arramus The new game is going well, and NitroGen was really helpful both for the mod and in general. Thanks again for the tips. We're curious if there's a known bug with NPCs sometimes not giving XP, or at least the XP not being noted onscreen. Also bdubyah asked everyone about their game-frequency of legendary drops, and so far by level ~20 in this game, we don't have a legendary drop. We're not concerned with this, but apparently there's enough variability to see the first one by day 2 in one game, and then zero of them much later on in the seco

I don't know if it was the worst but it was the most humiliating and shocking when it happened and I've since read others having it happen to them so I know there is probably a support group for me somewhere. That moment I destroyed a shower curtain and the curtain rail dropped on my head and one shot killed me. Happened a couple of years ago and since then I always just back slowly out of bathrooms with shower curtains.

  48. But if you make it so that the difficulty of the building is calculated as "biome difficulty" + "building difficulty", then even in the most difficult biome, high-level buildings will still represent a challenge in the later stages of the game and will give better bonuses 😉 This way, high-level buildings in complex biomes will not lose value as they do now. Players will be more motivated to visit level 5 buildings in difficult biomes. After all, when the game stage is high enough, you can find good loot in absolutely any building (exception: military boxes, which are

  49. User Guide This guide will help you getting started with KingGen. It is advisable to read thoroughly. If you want a nice video tutorial I sugget you check out @Tallman Brad's video here. KingGen is a tool to generate worlds that are playable in 7 Days to Die. The generation is procedural, which means that an algorithm will create the world for you. Also every time you run such algorithm, you get a different world. This is great, because you can play the game over and over again in different worlds, without getting bored. Getting Started First off, download KingGen. You
