  1. For those who don't want to check the 2 hour stream, these were the highlights: -The current internal version of A20 is b51. -Random Gen is going to be better than ever, with better district distribution in cities, better performance and more and more deterministic procedural landscapes. It will be similar to Nitrogen in many ways, with some new options too. - New map sizes for RWG will be : Same as Navezgane (6k X 6k), 8K and 10K. 4k will be out of the game due to it being too small. They are aiming at 1minute of generation time per square km, so a 10k map

  2. The pathing distance limit is horizontal. They can only path about 40m out. Farther and they just go in a straight line to the edge of the path grid. I dug to bedrock in Navezgane and BM day 7 spawns came above me and started digging down. They do a lot of moving and stumbling in addition to digging, so it can take them a while if you don't have a ton of zombies. That is code, so would be me, but doubt it will change anytime soon. I tend to forget that is even a feature.

  4. Well, here we can see an example of the strange phenomena of "fixing the broken item by throwing it in the trash". What you're mentioning isn't a problem stemming from the burnt forest in itself, it's a problem stemming from how the burnt forest biome has been handled and presented. The snow forest also has just one type of zombie in it, yet the snow forest isn't bland or boring, and they're probably not going to take away the snow forest either anyways (really hope so at least, unless they're thinking of blending it together with the desert somehow). Could it be because of the uni

  5. I fail to see how this adds more variation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the wasteland and burnt forest are going to be merged together like the pine forest and maple forest were, it just sounds like they're taking even more biomes away now. So right now we would have Snow Forest, normal forest, desert and burnt-wasteland. Four biomes as opposed to the seven we used to have.

  6. BTW speaking of the November 2020 "No haircut challenge", Why is Lathan (Fubar_Prime) so ridiculously attractive with that natural symmetrical beard ? He projects such a professional "Clooney" aura as opposed to the previous "Despicable me" one.... Just why ? If I were a ramp frame, I swear I would change my orientation. Just sayin'. Is he gonna be a model for a gorgeous npc in the future or what ? Why isn't anybody talking about it ? May I speak to his parents and congratulate them on that quest ? That one sure doesn't have any bugs. Fetch and Clear anytime.

  8. I'd love it if Shovels when right clicked, would pat the ground with the underside, smoothing the terrain where patted to look natural again, getting rid of blocky, jagged edges. It's hard filling blown up / dug dirt when you fight Zombies, it never fills properly.

  11. I know it won't help you in any way, but I attach the photo of the hole digged at the first 7th day blood moon horde. I'm pretty sure no blocks are destroyed in normal night (but i think they're not even aggroed&digging at this stage during regular nights), but they are in blood moon nights. Could it be animals? (i don't even know if animals do dig or they don't)

  12. Emh.. Actually, that is exactly the context, the discussion and the main reason why this thread was made in the first place. Not sure if you read through his whole post, but many people, like the guy you responded to, are not happy with the loot because it forces you to stay in primitive stage no matter where you go or what you loot: So yes, where the items are found is precisely what we're talking about here. The primitve tools used in The Walking Dead are manmade, they didn't exactly find them in the prison, nor Negan's secret vault either.

  14. So a challenge run. But then complaining about being challenging? How does that fit together? PS: You could throw a pipe bomb before digging a level area. Pipe bombs do minimal block damage, just enough to remove that last hit.

  15. Ok @closer_ex got it figured out. Context of the code. <passive_effect name="DamageBonus" operation="base_add" value="1"/> <!--For UI--> <passive_effect name="EntityDamage" operation="perc_add" value="1"/> What I did was remove level="1" In the context of a <perk> tag, that tells what level of the perk scales the value. Like normally you'd have level="1,5" value=".2,1" This would tell the perk that you scale it from 20% to 100% between levels 1 and 5 of the perk. In the context of an <item_mo

  17. We all remember the calipers problem. The only reason I disagree as to it being stupid is the focus on the RNG rather than the low number of actual sources. RNG isn't a problem if you can get something from a bunch of sources, but when it's only available from one or two it becomes a problem. Calipers were only available from lumberjacks and Working Stiff boxes, not to mention the incredibly low probability they'd drop in the first place. You have to be able to hit up those sources enough to make it possible to efficiently find them in a given time. Treasure maps don't have high probabilities

  18. I seem to find them more at lower gamestages. Once the gamestage gets higher they seem to very rarely appear anymore. When I do happen to find them it is usually from zombie drops.

  19. This progression makes perfect sense in ARK. why? because we are in an a simulation of sorts that's inherently designed to be empty, full of resources. If you wanna shot gun, you're gonna have to start with a camp fire and learn how to advance and thrive as you go. it doesn't make sense here. The world was already lived in. There are already weapons everywhere, especially considering the likelihood of an American home having at least one gun stashed somewhere in it. It's dumb how I can't physically see a pistol or a shot gun until I hit a certain level. In a survival

  20. I think the sealed crates should at least contain Parts, so people with points in the appropriate perks can at least start collecting materials to make their own.

  21. How lame, they put a 300 W power supply in a machine with a RX 580 which can use well over that. Wth are they thinking? They should give you a refund.

  22. I disagree with your use of the word cheese. It may be cheesy or at least lazy to copy working designs from the internet, but many games can be easily solved by reading howtos on the internet. Those highly optimized designs floating around seem cheesy to a random observer because they were optimized in hundreds of hours of playtime. A raised corridor? A lot of medieval castles used narrow high bridges as only access ways, did they cheese their defense?

  23. This is kind of sad that the Pimps are forcing players what to do and not giving options to choose from. I wish you could play as a stealthy character and hide in bloodmoons and such.

  24. OMG!! Nobody plays 7 Days with me and I just gotta tell somebody, so you lucky dog Stallion, I'm telling you because it happened after I installed a bunch of your mods, roflmao! I am a bad girl. I don't install one mod at a time, I pick what I want and then activate them all. I know better, but so far I've been blessed to not have errors or problems. So I gets about five of yours that I've always wanted, and one other from Nexus. I install and log in to see if I can find my new items. I get no error messages upon load in. Well when I spawn in I'm no longer a level 16 wit

  28. Thank you for your suggestion but I have just been to the doctor within the last few days. The pressure sensitivity to weather and what not is something that I have been living with for as long as I remember and a couple of my immediate family members share it. So that's I was thinking that this may be an extension of that issue :/. Notes on the lower side of the spectrum are more like of a physical experience for me as well. People who have those really loud mega boosted bass systems evoke a similar sensation. If I'm exposed to it long enough it may trigger a migraine.
