Hot Tip for you: Aren't you glad that you can still EVEN ACCESS a16? I mean.. that's pretty noteworthy considering you can't do that with the majority of other games.   4. I came, I saw, 19 is an improvement over 17 and 18, but still not as good as 16, so back to 16 I go. Will be back after 20 is released. Tip to developers, read the forum post and stop going off on a tangent. You had an almost perfect game with 16, but you screwed everything up with 17. Study Lean and Six Sigma, and stop looking at the game from your point of view. As a paying customer I can not recommend the game in the current development path.   5. Actually you can have a forge as soon as you find the materials for it. 1 singular point into Advanced Engineering (non attribute gated) will grant you the recipe.

  7. Hi Kevin, could you expand a little regarding your choice? As a long term player of 7DtD (Alpha 8, I think), I'm genuinely interested in what you think 16 has which makes it better than 19. I'm asking from the point of view of not remembering myself! Was that the version which had gun parts of different quality and skill advancement from performing tasks? I see a lot of threads talking about 16 vs 19 but I don't know what the fundamental differences are. Cheers.

  9. So you're advocating removing wood frames from the game? Then use hay bales which are really easy to make.... unless you want to remove them too? Or use ladders which will allow you to go up and down. But really wood blocks wouldn't be an issue. Even early game wood is easy to acquire. The point I'm trying to make is that you're looking at making changes to the game which, at the end of the day, really isn't going to stop the behavior you want it to stop. So it ends up being wasted effort. I'd also argue that what you're trying to stop isn't something that needs

  15. Yep, you're right, with scrapping you can only do the whole stack or need to divide the stack first. But crafting usually improves something, while scrapping usually is a downgrade. So if i want to downgrade murky water into empty jars, i'd try to scrap them, not searching for a receipe. That's what i ment with "intuitve". Since neither way is possible in vanilla, somebody that adds an extra modlet of course knows how to do it. But that doesn't mean it's intuitve.

  18. This mod is used with the DMT modding tool. You put it into the DMT mods folder and compile it with DMT modding tool. It will place the necessary stuff in your game folder automatically. Notice how the thread has DMT label. It also doesn't work with EasyAnticheat as any other DMT mod.

  21. About animation. This impudent movement of throwing out a magazine from a sniper rifle - it doesn't look cool in the current situation. It seems that the shooter is a moron. He's not afraid to wreck anything? Or, maybe, he doesn't know that weapon magazines are not a single-time item and they are reused?

  22. I kinda disagree with the Shock effect being annoying. it makes me feel like i GOT the POWER!!!!!!!!!! but i can see what you mean! The Main turn off for me is "For now" theres is no other tiers, Hell for intellect there is only One Range weapon! What i hope they do is for each baton they add a unique effect for each Junk/pipe/Scrap/Whatever its called Baton: could have just a Shock that does damage over time and Slightly slow down the Target. (the shock effect is smaller though) Stun baton: Does More Shock damage overtime, a Very slight increases of Damage an

  23. I still didn't get the "real" use of ratchet and impact driver. Didn't especially test it, but both of them seem not to be (notably) faster than a wrench. If they are, it's a very small difference. Do you get more ressources if you use ratchet/ID or in general a higher quality tool? I recently forgot my ID in my base, so i used a lvl6 wrench i just looted to disassemble a vending machine... there wasn't a real difference... I expected the advantage of the ID was not using stamina. I understand that it uses stamina and i agree also the auger should use stamina. But

  24. Every UI has its own style, somebody hate this, otherone don't like this...., You are the Creator of this UI, and u should like it. We can not make it perfect for everyone. In my UI most of the Infos are on bottem left, because i often look there, thats why i did my HUD. But yours are also great, i like it.   26. Updated the table to contain the minimum and maximum farm plots needed per person to keep them feed with a given food item. Lowered the cost of grain alcohol, as its craftable in bulk from corn meal, threw the "cost" to 4, though because of extra hassle of either needing a chem station or involving a campfire with a beaker and a relatively slow job making it somewhat inconvenient component. Basically with meat based foods you can get away between 5 and 15 farm plots per person (with vanilla growth speed where farm can be harvested at 1h intervals), While the fully farmable "easy"

  28. I think you might want to add plates above the trap doors, rotated so they're flat against the roof's overhang. Dogs can slip through a 1 block high hole iirc and the plates help mitigate that.

  29. This is what I came up with. It's just Wood Frames, Wood Frame Wedge Full Corner Tops, and Wood Frame Wedges, with four centered Poles. It's extremely cheap to make, upgradeable to cobblestone then to cement, and the hatches can be upgraded to Iron. Should keep out bears and direwolves giving you the chance to kill them, just repair hatches as needed. Close 'em all up at night time, you can attack the zeds and beasts through the gap. Lastly, use wood bars as the ceiling, just in case any zeds manage to jump up there by jumping on top of one another, you can shoot them. But since the roof expan

  33. I dont think that would change a thing. The loss in resources would be negligible (2 wood for a wood frame). And no need to find another way down, after using the blocks to get up, you could just break them to get down and you'll even recoup some of the resources. There are many ways to accomplish getting to various places in the game. Nerdpoling is just the easiest. Removing it will not change the behavior you're trying to remove at all.

  34. Well .. it is there one minute .. turn you head and it gone .. A Ghosting .. The Block disappears as in the 2 photos .. many players and Youtubers have seen this effect. And I have found it is Linked to SMG Turrets .. After you put down a couple .. it will start happening Vanilla .. about 7 SMG and it should start and in a Modded game you might get 3 SGM down before it starts .... Shotgun Turrets are Fine and it does not happen .. For some unknown reason .. JUST with the SMG. I'm not doing another bug report per say ..   35. Unfortunately! It's not a turret placement nor within any particular POI or anything, but it's an issue when the turret (only the robotic one) destroys a block. Glass is the easiest, and that POI has a lot of spots where it can easily blow one out. This will freeze the game up or lock a server. It has been fixed in A19.1 experimental.   37. Yes, those are soft warnings. There is nothing I can do about that since TFP hardcoded the audio files to be used with the Auger/Chainsaw. If those sound files were tied in the XML like everything else, I would be able to modify it to not throw that warning.

  41. Read everything again, but slowly. Don't get your blood boiling, you might not handle yourself. Fantasy as in, anything can be in this, it doesn't NEED to follow or have something based on real life, but if it does try to represent something real (in this case the name's of the freaking entities describe what they are suppose to be) it makes sense they do it based on what THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. And no, they are not weak, or oversexualized, as I explained before. But if they were, I wouldn't get in the way, because as i said, it's fantasy, you absolute tunnel vision

  42. Have you ever used a good impact driver? Air-powered, perhaps for lug-nuts? They are heavy tools and while they do not twist you around like a drill will, the vibrations when busting a stuck or rusted nut loose can be numbing or tiring. I own and use a few for maintenance on antique tractors, equipment trailers, zero-turn mowers, and other things. It isn't in the same ballpark as using an auger, but it isn't a cake-walk either.

  46. This is part Nitro, part hand made. Ground is set to just above water level and completely flat. I generated 2-3 mega cities per section, and did a separate map for each section, then combined them into a single map. I connected up all the roads in each section and tied them together with 6 custom made bridges. Hand placed traders throughout with some player safe houses across the street from each, then added a mountain border.
