  2. Similar problem with looting stone tools repeatedly. Stone tool specifically are worthless as loot and break SOD. Who the hell is crafting these caveman tools and then leaving them around in sealed crates? Surely the sealed crates are meant to contain supplies from before the bombs fell? If the stuff in these crates is actually limited by your level or gamestage, then doesn't it mean that there's absolutely no incentive to open them until you hit a decent level because it's a total waste to spend a valuable Working Stuff or Shotgun Messiah crate if your low GS won

  4. If you want to extend the stone-age, then force players to spawn far away from cities. Fluff it as being how they survived after the world ended. Removing loot is just awful, and making it so that places that should have good loot, don't, means that any shotgun messiah building you raid before hitting GS 50 or so is completely wasted. Why are we being punished for looting difficult locations in the early game? Stone tools should only be found in trash piles or survivor rucksacks. Places where other survivors dropped them or died with them.

  7. when the block i place causes the building to collapse, make the marker red and dont let me place it. Check SI before the player places the block. The SI is not natural physic so its not the players fault when things break. Gamebreaking moments can be prevented this way.

  8. I have logged 2,930 hours on this game. I purchased it several alphas ago and it has been my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE for years. But this new linear loot system is killing me with bland boredom. I know precisely what I am getting from loot crates early game. Nothing of worth. I loot an entire Shotgun Messiah factory to get nothing but a high level blunderbuss. After blunderbuss.   13. I wish the zombies had a damage model for the head. Body has one and limbs fall off etc, but shoot the head more than once and it doesn't change unless it's a critical then it explodes.

While that is true about good feedback, feedback about features that are already planned to be changed, upgraded or finished in a specific way is actually not that useful, as it gets largely ignored. Why? Because the devs think the complete version will solve the problems. Even if they are wrong that will only become evident once the feature is complete.

  16. Repeating 'it's not done yet' isn't a proper defence. The game is for sale now. We all know that it's not complete, but the Fun Pimps are accepting money for it. so the current version of the game should be playable and fun. If this was still an unstable build, I could accept that they'd toss something out to patch this in the next week or so, but it's not and they won't. I’m trying to wrap my head around your inability to comprehend or retain information. Let’s try one more time in list form. 1) The current loot system isn’t finished so pretending that it is the intended finished design and then making up reasons for that design is dishonest. 2) There will be the full range of weapons, schematics, parts, recipes, and tools available from the beginning of the game once the system is done.

  21. Updated for A19: Download: A19 b180 Version 1 (376 MB) - 23.08.2020 Copy the world folder inter your worlds directory and the prefabs into the prefabs folder.   22. This is somewhat similar to the planned legendary weapons. On a much smaller scale probably, because for every developer working on 7D2D there are probably 20 or more working on a new Borderlands game. Never forget that when you demand lots and lots of new weapons. Balance with other attribute tress. Simple as that. TFP decided on 4 tiers of weapons (tier0 to tier3) and that meant auto shotgun and sniper rifle had to be added.   23. I think you might be on to something. In Minnesota we have an interface between different ISPs called MICE. The tracert to the remote host dead-ends after leaving my ISP's border and hitting MICE. Just so happens that the owner of the server is a network engineer with the ISP that the traffic is supposed to be going to. I'm going to give him such a hard time about this.

  24. Honestly I doubt it will go as far as bandits taking cover behind blocks depending on how much HP the block has. I'd be pretty amazed if they take cover in a believable way at all. It's probably off topic and a stretch to know the extent of what they can achieve but making "realistic" bandit behaviours depending on their loadout, your own loadout and the surroundings is one hell of a task in such a game imo; even the zombies that are admittedly dumber creatures still have goofy pathing sometimes, and they follow a pretty basic "run down the shortest lane" that wouldn't ever make s

  25. well i didnt see any primitive bow / knuckle in loot thats why they call that tiers would you complain in every rpg that lvl 20 sword is obsolete to lvl 40? you start with weaker versions and move up to better thats what rpg progresion means you should check older 7days as all those higher tiers are just upgraded versions for original weapons (desert vulture is disgustingly overpowered making obsolete almost everything btw) so its just spear that removes biggest weakness of spear = missing making spears obsolete ( or cut dmg into half inw hich case no on

I highly suggest starting a new map after deleting all generated maps and verifying file integrity; however, if you must, I did solve that issue a while back by teleporting to traders. enter dm into the console and then use the tppoi function (either by going to esc menu or typing tppoi into the console) to go to the traders until you find the one the quest wants you to go to (this is not guaranteed, either). Again, best to start a new world

  30. So, i watch a lot of streamers, and quite a few struggle with ladders. We, well, most of us, know by now we need the ladder 2 block up from the ground. Then it can get tricky to make the jump sometime. So i thought, perhaps just move the ground down a bit or two. And it is kinda zombie proof still.   35. Every game with a trader does this. We just get to see how the sausage is made with all the gamestage stuff and so it's "artificial". You can't buy +5 Sword of Decapitation as a lvl 1 assassin and you can't buy Pristine Solar Armor as a n00b space marine, and you can't buy a level 10 FAL-FN when you're only a level 6 quasi-governmental agent. All games work that way and we just accept it. We got spoiled by One Loot Table to Rule Them All and now that there's an actual progression mechanic being added, we don' want nonna that. I thing i found the problem (or not) If you try to spawn in zombieAnesthesia i will get the one nullreference and no spawn but log out and it spams nullreference but if you remove the lines <property name="ReplaceMaterial0" value="entities/monsters/behemoth/materials/behemoth"/> <property name="ReplaceMaterial1" value="entities/zombies/materials/feral_eye"/> then spawn it in it works

  41. I'm pretty okay with the current system BUT I entirely see the OPs point of view. The narrow list of available stone age makes it somewhat predictable what you are going to get, and the fact that you are restricted to that range - regardless of what you are looting - narrows the value of those big, high value treasures. Locked 10,000 hp crate? Here's your scrap armor. Sure, it's level 3, but scrap armor. Oh, and a blunderbus. Gratz. Hope it was worth the 2 in game hrs chipping it open with a stone axe.   42. As Roland said, it's temporary. I have my personal doubts of the "fill" weapons for low stage, I don't care for a stone age or primitive stage of weaponry in a game based in a modern/post apocalyptic time. But I do like the idea of tougher areas and you then can gauge whether you want to go in there or wait till you're better geared. BUT, until then go to nexus mods and search for FAWK-LOOT-ALL. It puts back the good old random loot like you're used to. I posted this in a different thread. And as I said there, I am not affiliated or associated with the mod at all. I just use

  43. Yea the loot type being tied to level kinda took the fun out of it, the rank of the loot I can understand but even the type? Got old this last run. Spent several hours and got up a few levels and I was still pulling nothing but stone tools (level 6 no less!) out of all the boxes from high level poi's. Not an iron tool to be found even, all stone. Apparently during the Apocalypse our country reverted to a stone age society or maybe its a representative of harbor freight level gear, who knows.

  44. I understand. The Stone Age thing is kind of immersion breaking. If stone tools were just iron tools but crappy, and there were two tiers beyond (say steel and titanium or carbon fiber or something), there wouldn't be such a fuss.

  47. I've been pushing for some of this kind of stuff for years. We want to make it so that NPCs can sandbox around and use various work stations at their base so trader Bob is pounding on a work bench or something, once that tech is written we can possibly extend it to players, or at least modders can do it. The problem is all the weird use cases I suppose like if a user puts the side of the chair against a wall or another block then getting into that seat might clip geometry and push the player into the void. We would have to make chairs "multi blocks" to avoid that, then you can't use them as in

Like the toasters do, and the microwaves..... Stop with eating up preformance for graphics. Not the issue at all. Yes I do like the ring girl look. It's a nice eatse egg kind of thing. Fits the theme of playing the playing off of names TFP does in store names etc. My real issue tho is they are lately concentrating so much on the graphics that they are having to cut zombies from the world to keep it running.   50. They have lengthened the beginning game, which is good, but I am afraid it is more to mask the lack of an endgame. We need bandits more than we need pretty graphics and car mods.
