  1. You could take a look on how Red Dead Redemption 2 does the meat. They have a lot of different animals but the meats are grouped, so some animals drop Venison, others Stringy Meat, Pork, Mutton or Game Meat etc. This way you can have maybe 4-5 varieties of meat and the recipes for them. I would also not go for having a grilled, cooked and charred variation of each with how currently the recipes work because indeed that would clutter it up badly. Probably should just be one, like cooked or prepared and then the recipes using only one type of meat. The kind of meat could determine the fullness it gives, in RDR2 the meat from the big predators gives the best effects. But even better would be if you guys could consider recipes to have alternative ingredients, so rather than needing a certain specific item, it could take a list or category of items instead, I think Fallout 4 uses such a system. So a recipe for boiled meat could then take any variant of meat but always give the same effect, since you are just boiling the meat and not preparing it as a special recipe. Obviously this would have some complications for the return item if applied to say boiled water that could be made from a variety of containers (cans, jars, bottles etc).

  2. The "difficulty" people are talking about isn't 1000hp zombies; it's the complexity of the game. Meta-difficulty. Removing things like sticks, or bear meat; requiring you to convert hides to leather before you can use the leather; city biomes packed with cops and dogs. These aren't difficulties you can change in the options menu. They are difficulties that come from game design mechanics, which force the player to make decisions about how to spend their resources and energy. That's what's been taken away. Contrary to what MM believes, simplicity in a game is NOT always a good thing. -A

  3. Hi Drisky The mod works correctly in alpha 18.3 b4, surely you did not skip any steps when installing the mod? Anabella thank you very much for sharing your mod, Jaxteller's did not help me, check yours and it goes great. Gouki

  5. Madmole, as a developer and owner you have a financial obligation, which I completely understand and respect, so let me ask the other madmole, the modder, a question. ...what will your first mod be for the game? No troll, no bait, I'm honestly curious what you would like to mod in. Also, something feels different... The forums feel... Cleaner. Less cancerous. Can't quite put my finger on it...

  6. You think *THIS* is Stallionsden ranting? Pffff... this is the kindler, gentler Stall. Besides, everyone has the privilege to post their feedback on the game... -A

  8. Bruh... if its so bad why are you obsessed with it? Go play Alpha 2 and have at it. You do not represent the average consumer at all and tuning the game to forum rats would be a cancer move. The game is challenging in the right ways now, change one of the million settings if you think its too easy. Its WAY harder than Skyrim and Fallout 4 even on survival mode. You have to not buy specific perks in FO4 to not become a god at level 20-30. FYI player counts are at an all time high and sales are the best since the initial release, so we're on track. The complaints are literally squeaky wheel straw man arguments at this point and making any changes would piss off most players TBH. We're fixing bugs and adding more content. Some more balance and optimizations. Not sure how this isn't clear. Any experienced player SHOULD need mods to make it harder. That kind of stuff is great for mods but the vanilla game has to be accessible.
