  • Game Crash/Full PC reset/Reset character to lvl 1/Delete Save

    Summary: My game keeps crashing.  It causes a full PC restart.  Sometimes it deletes my save.  Sometimes it resets my character to lvl 1.  I just lost a day 15 save because of this.  Extremely frustrating.  i have NEVER had any problems running this game in the 1,000 plus hours i've been playing it.  What in the world did you guys do to it...

     

    Game Version: (A21 Stable)

    OS/Version: (Windows 11)

    CPU Model: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

    System Memory: 32gigs

    GPU Model and VRAM:  Nvidia Geforce 2060 Super (i can't figure out the Vram)

    Screen Resolution:  1920x1080

    Video Settings:  Ultra with motion blur off

    Game mode: (Premade map. the biggest one, single player)

     

    Did you wipe old saves? (Yes)

     

    Did you start a new game? (Yes)

     

    Did you validate your files? (Yes)

     

    Are you using any mods? (No)

     

    EAC - on

     

    Status: NEW

     

    Bug Description: Game crash, causing full pc restart.  deleting my game save or resetting my character to lvl 1

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    I just start the game like normal.  If i use DX 11, it crashes in minutes.  If i use Vulcan, i can run for about an hour or so before it crashes.

    Bump. I'm having the same issues with my server. Crashes computer, resets players to level 1. "Stable" is not as stable as Experimental was.

     

    Would love a solution. 

     

    Also, you can restore xp levels but can't generate books to get book levels. Is there another way to restore book levels through admin?

    Pull the relevant books and/or magazines from Creative mode

    i made it almost 3 hours before i got a crash.  So, i can still play... sorta.  i also turned all of these settings off.  Thankfully it didn't reset my character again.  Do you have any other recommendations?
