7 days to die wont start

Summary: upon starting the application it loads the black screen stating that this a pre-release version and may have bugs. it then just freezes there and no longer responds

Bug Description: when i run 7 days to die from steam the folders or desktop options it boots up the game to a black screen with the warning that this is a pre-released version of the game and that there might be bugs, it then freezes on that screen and stops responding. the other games i open on steam work normally and it is just 7 days to die that is having issues
