  • Frequent gpu driver crashes on latest A20

    Summary:  Experiencing frequent driver crashes, particularly when alt-tabbing from game window or quitting the game.

     

    Game Version: A20

    Platform: PC

    OS/Version: Windows 10 version 21H1 (OS build 19043.1415)

    CPU Model: Intel i9-9900K (3.6GHz)

    System Memory: 32 GB

    GPU Model and VRAM: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080TI (11264 MB VRAM GDDR6)

    GPU Driver Version: Latest Nvidia (497.29)

    Screen Resolution: 1920x1080

    Video Settings: Ultra, Medium, seems unrelated to settings

    Game mode: MP Client

     

    Did you wipe old saves? Yes

    Did you start a new game? Yes, but have only played multiplayer in A20

    Did you validate your files? Yes, repeatedly

    Are you using any mods? No

    EAC on or off? Off

     

    Status: NEW

     

    Bug Description:

     

    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    1) Play the game for any length of time

    2) Alt-tab out of the game, or quit via the menu

     

    Actual result: (description of what is occurring)

    1) Game locks up, resulting in a full display driver crash

     

    Expected result: (what you expect to occur)

    1) Game quits or alt-tabs gracefully

    2) Not requiring system reboots between play sessions

    And I swear it's a driver crash, if not directly logged in the output files then it's one occurring immediately after application exit.
